Disciplining My Heart in Humility

Thing I am learning: Often in an area I am very familiar with or I have technical knowledge, I will be challenged by my wife or someone else who believes for sure they knows a that certain thing and I think they are incorrect.

The discipline is to humble my heart before God and let them be right. Avoiding arguments is a form of love even if i have the urge to be seen to be right.

Where it will make a great difference to be right is someone you esteem, are close to or love. Probably who cares if someone i am not that close to is wrong?

Remember Jesus who was silent in humility before those that accused Him?

Our Lovely One wants our hearts to be calmly enfolded in His loving arms, hidden in His heart in peace.

Sometimes it is just best to respect eachother's opinions and leave it at that, especially when you cannot change someone else's mind. Some issues are not a matter of sin, so no argument is necessary. However, where sin in involved, sometimes it is necessary to have arguments.

I find that a lot of arguments are caused by different outlook. Some people are more positive, some are more negative. Some are willing to try news things, others not so much. These two types of personalities can clash. Also, when one person is trying to force another person to do something, that can also cause arguments.

The best way to avoid argument is to be with like-minded people, however it is important not to be closed off as well.

but you must not expunge the truth from someone. now-a-days, because of the "butter" offensive attitudes, I always ask someone who needs correction: "do you want to know the truth about everything"? & then, i tell them.

Also a humbler attitude is to accept you may not know yourself. Yeah I like that attitude.

Very common to try to be be the fastes Bible verse “prover” in the West, wait a minute maybe guilty of that myself?
