👉Speak As God Commands👈

Paul was criticized for being a poor speaker and he testifies to this in,

2 Corinthians 10:9-10
English Standard Version
9 I do not want to appear to be frightening you with my letters. 10 For they say, “His letters are weighty and strong, but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech of no account.”

But Paul wouldn't let the criticism of others stop him from speaking the Word of God. He had the knowledge and all he needed to do was simply open his mouth.

2 Corinthians 11:6
English Standard Version
6 Even if I am unskilled in speaking, I am not so in knowledge; indeed, in every way we have made this plain to you in all things.

Paul was careful not to allow pride in one's knowledge to supersede the simple message of the cross.

“For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.”
1 Corinthians 1:17

Paul did not come to entertain with professional grand sermons or to wow the crowd with his wisdom. He came as a humble servant with a humble message.

“And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”
1 Corinthians 2:1–5

In that humble message despite Paul's weaknesses, the message of the cross was received not by the eloquence of Paul but by the power of God.

We all should strive to have such a close relationship with God that remaining quiet will be almost impossible. We should kindle such a relationship that a burning fire within like water to heat we are disturbed to the point of moving. The stillness of water becomes an energetic chemical reaction.

Jeremiah 20:9
English Standard Version
9 If I say, “I will not mention him,
or speak any more in his name,”
there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones,
and I am weary with holding it in,
and I cannot.

That energy reaches a point we can no longer contain it and it must be released.

Speak the Words of God no matter the criticism, no matter your flaws, and no matter your status, education, or age. If you repeat the written Word then you rely on the power of God to do everything else.

took awhile for me to realize Paul and the apostles went through this very thing

“And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: for the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭12:11-12‬ ‭

for example acts 26 when Paul gives an answer to king Agrippa and the Roman prefects. The reason I mention this in your thread is Paul words were some of the most eliquent I’ve ever read a skilled writer for sure but truthfully we understand Paul’s words were coming from the Holy Spirit and that’s why they were so eloquent and effective

Godnis able to take an old fool who’s been wrong and had no appropriate skills and make them a mighty soldier for him the Holy Ghost will always provide the ability it’s usually about the willingness

Corinthians 13 for example of Paul’s writing skill is still today one of the most quoted writings in history at weddings his eloquent description of love coupled with his admission that he wasn’t well trained lends to the power and presence of the Holy Spirit actually communicating the scriptures to us through men like Paul and Peter and John

“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:1-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

airs pretty inspiring to realize It’s been Gods spirit speaking through men all along to all of us that hear and believe his word from Moses to Joshua to the prophets isaih and Ezekiel to David and the psalmists Malachi to Matthew mark Luke and John to Peter and Paul it’s always been Gods spirit speaking through those chosen men who wrote what shod has spoken to them for us who later would hear and believe the one true gospel given by God for salvation

“Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭17:20-21‬

that’s us now who believe what’s written in the New Testament we believe through those witnesses words and e Holy Ghost is who spoke it all and sent it into the world

to know he’s always been speaking to man through man in order to save and teach and redeem us and keep us from death is simple but also something we miss he wants us to live with him forever and he’s always made that clear

Amen! It should be encouraging to all knowing that God's Spirit will guide us if we simply speak. One of the best ways people hear is by speaking. Writing works just as well but something about speaking helps people see the human behind the writing.
