Global Reserves Held in US Dollars Fell to Less Than 50% — Official States It Has Become a 'Toxic' Currency

The percentage of reserves held in U.S. dollars by central banks has fallen to less than half of the global total of reserves, according to a note from Eurizon SLJ Asset Management. The note states that the recent sanctions enacted by the U.S. against the Bank of Russia have eroded trust in the dollar as a reserve currency.
Central Bank Dollar Reserves Hit 47% as Trust in the Currency Erodes
Central banks are beginning to diversify their reserves away from the U.S. dollar. A note issued by Eurizon SLJ Asset Management on April 17 revealed that the percentage of the reserves that central banks held in dollars hit 47% during 2022, falling sharply since 2021, when dollars represented 55%.
Analysts from the firm explain that this decline in just one year is “exceptional,” and marks an acceleration of the predicted erosion rate of the U.S. dollar.
The cause, the report states, has to do with the wide package of sanctions that the U.S. government applied to Russia due to its involvement in the current Russia-Ukraine conflict, freezing its gold and foreign currency assets abroad, and putting several key companies on the designated entity list of the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
The note explains these “exceptional actions” have made other countries less willing to hold their reserves in the form of U.S. dollars.

The Dollar Has Become ‘Toxic’
This de-dollarization trend fueled by the so-called “weaponization” of sanctions by the government of the U.S. has global blocs like BRICS and ASEAN looking for alternatives to safely conduct trade amongst themselves.
BRICS is currently studying an initiative for creating a common currency, that will be discussed at the next BRICS summit to be held in South Africa. In the same way, ASEAN countries have called for reducing reliance on the dollar, and the usage of national currencies for international settlements, fearing the application of secondary sanctions.
On April 19, Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Pankin criticized this “weaponization,” noting that more and more countries were increasing their gold holdings while dropping their foreign currency reserves. He stated:
These trends show that the US dollar is becoming big, strong, but still toxic for everyday operations. It’s not a mainstream trend, but I believe it might become a trend.

There is a silver lining, if you owe debts denominated in dollars, if dollars become worthless you will be able to easily pay off those debts.

Find out in "The King of the World"

In a world where power and politics collide, one man finds himself at the mercy of those who hold it. Jesus, a man who claims to be a king, is brought before Pilate by a furious crowd who accuse him of perverting the nation and forbidding tribute to Caesar. But Pilate can find no fault in him. Herod, too, is intrigued by the man and hopes to see him perform a miracle. But Jesus remains silent, even as the chief priests and scribes furiously accuse him. As the tension mounts and Pilate tries to release him, the crowd cries out for Jesus to be crucified. And so, he is led away, along with two other criminals, to be put to death on a hill called Calvary. But even in the midst of his suffering, Jesus remains steadfast, forgiving his tormentors and promising salvation to a criminal who believes in him. Will his death bring about the change the people seek or will it only serve to cement the power of those who seek to destroy him? Find out in "The King of the World."

also, if you understand what project mockingbird is, you will understand the media a whole lot better.
Undeniably. Yet people refuse to believe that the media companies, incl their CEOs, their employees, and the supposedly representative government itself can all be mixed up in this business of rampant intentional deception.

CBC news in Canada is literally the fully conscripted and enabled and $$$paid off$$$ propaganda organ of Trudeau and the liberals, the fact of which El Presidente so decared himself in no uncertain terms.

All of the five eyes Nations work the same way. Sick and run by sickos aka megalomaniac sociopaths with a criminal psychological profile.

Argentina is apparently trying bail-ins as it has: "started using customer deposits of #USD". This will likely cause bank runs in Argentina and a systemic meltdown.

Of course there are those of us who knew that this was plan "B" for quite some time now.....

I do think that one horse has pulled a couple of lengths ahead at this point.....

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Pimlico Race Course, where the excitement is palpable, and the stakes are high. The first big match to command a worldwide audience through the voice of radio, this is the horse race to end all horse races! Stalin, Hitler and Mao have all come through our barn, hats in hand, to plead with Smith to let them stage the apocalyptic race. And today, we have the perfect match between the five fastest horses on the planet: War Admiral, the patrician, the royally bred red son of Man o' War from the East, against the sore-kneed former claimer Seabiscuit, the bay, the off-bred deplorables from rural America. Touch that rail and feel the beat of Pimlico's pulse! We have the Antichrist riding his favorite white horse, deceptively fast. We have the reaper, a big black horse ready to put the others on the scale to determine who is the baddest horse in the land and we have Pandemic, a pale horse being ridden by none other than death and wearing the colors of Hell.

Their styles are in contrast. The 4-year-old Admiral, liked to burn on the lead, a shock and awe strategy, the 5-year-old Deplorable, had become America's leading older horse by chasing the pace and then pouncing on the leaders down the lane. The reaper likes to drive the others to exhaustion and depair while pandemic tries to squeeze the very breath from their lungs.

The race has begun, and the tension is high! Thirty-five miles south, they delayed a presidential press conference to tune in to McCarthy's familiar raspy voice, which crackled with excitement as he growled the horses' names into the mike. And now, War Admiral and Seabiscuit are on the track!

Not a soul on the grounds doubted that War Admiral would spring to the lead like a flushed deer and probably never look back. Except the few of us around the Biscuit who had watched Smith set up one of the great shockers in the annals of racing. The Lord had trained the Biscuit and you were about to see something no one had seen before. My gawd! Seabiscuit's going to the lead! A man cried out behind me. Georgie steered the Biscuit to the rail, and in that low, rhythmic thunder of pounding hooves, there he suddenly was, rocking in the stirrups and laughing as he turned and saw the Admiral and jockey Charley, the Flying Dutchman, giving chase.

Down the backside, the Admiral closed the gap until they were racing head and head and, finally, nose and nose into the far turn. They called the unflappable Georgie the Iceman, and once again, he did not flinch. The noise was so deafeningly rich that you could barely hear McCarthy shouting into his microphone right next to you as the two horses hurtled through the final turn as one.

They swung into the straight, and you could see them surging toward you as a team, two wild horses reaching and folding the earth beneath them. All that is left to remember through the last 300 yards are the jockeys' whips flashing and their right arms rising and falling, then the Admiral's mouth coming open as he spit the bit a furlong from the wire and the biscuit heading to the winner's circle with the Lord Jesus.
