Tucker Carlson reportedly taken off air by Rupert Murdoch for 'overtly religious remarks'
Story by Rozina Sabur • 57m ago

Tucker Carlson was taken off air by Rupert Murdoch because of overtly religious remarks he made during a recent speech (at the Heritage Foundation's Gala), according to Vanity Fair.

Carlson’s nightly show, which brought in more than three million viewers, figured prominently in the case.

The decision sent shockwaves through the US media industry, and wiped more than $500 million from Fox Corporation's value within hours.

Speculation was rife that the legal entanglements involving Carlson, 53, who is also named in a lawsuit from a former Fox producer, had brought about his demise.

However, according to a report by Vanity Fair, Carlson's remarks at a speech on Friday night that rattled Mr Murdoch, chair of Fox Corp.

The media mogul was alarmed by the religious language and found it "too extreme", according to Vanity Fair.

Carlson opened his remarks at the Heritage Foundation's 50th anniversary gala by encouraging everyone to "include the country in your prayers".

His assessment of the state of the US was laced with religious language, framing America's partisan battles as a division between "good" and "evil".

*Continue reading the article here, and check out the video of his speech at the Heritage Gala that got him fired if you'd care to, as well.
.
This "reason" according to Murdoch is absurd. It's the Heritage Foundation! Religious language and American politics are entwined at HF.

I tend to think the real reason was what he rightly observed about the media.

TC won't want for a job for long. Fox seems to be swinging Left.

What it does not explain is why the other, more liberal networks were purged at the same time. Do you have any theories?
The MSM have been losing money for quite some time because the general public knows that all they do is lie 24/7, and has stopped watching them. The new owner of CNN claimed that he wanted to clean house but that was a sham. He kept all the dead wood until it became clear that the dead wood was not helping. So now they are being purged. The same with the other mainstream media. It looks like no one has had the guts to fire all the hacks and idiots (like Whoopi) on TV and get back to real truthful journalism.

What should have happened back in 2014-2016 is this: (1) a brand new conservative party should have come into existence (on the backs of the "Tea Party" which was a silly label) and (2) a brand new conservative news network should also have come into existence at the same time. Which would have meant that the RINOs would have all been booted out and real Republicans would have taken the helm. The new network would have exposed the daily lies of the MSM and people would have started hearing the truth. FOX News was a hybrid, and they also hated Trump. So they allowed Tucker a little rope and then canned him.

Those are good points.
What is strange is the timing.
Today I heard on WAM that Black Rock owns half of Fox News. I already learned with the lack of coverage of the Palestine OH chemical dump/ attack that they owned many news networks and the railroad. Now Fox with Murdoch who had a big argument with Tucker. I think the connection is a Black rock and C👁️A decision choosing the perfect time when Murdock would be most willing to part.with his prize employee.

What I think we can definitely take away from this is that they are desperate. No one wants to fire the single most prominent pundit like they did with Tucker, especially as it causes so many to question the war, Jan 6th, and the other major issues that Tucker was hitting on. The claim that they fired him because he talked about prayer is even worse, this has to influence believers, Christians, and conservatives around the country. Blackrock is buying a dumpster fire, why would anyone do that? MSNBC, CNN and FOX are all different flavors of the same propaganda. It only works if people don't realize it but Tucker, Bongino, Beck, and Bannon are all going to pull that curtain back. I can see them all working and coordinating with Trump.

They are all focused on different fields of attack, but they are different fronts in the same war, different theaters of operation.

I think it is very clear that it is overwhelming for Biden and the MSM to have to deal with all these theaters. We have a major victory with the debt limit today, we have hearings on the border, hearings on human trafficking, hearings on Covid, and a lot of light being shined on Ukraine. Nordstream 2, BRICS, Inflation, Bank runs, economic collapse, it is a 5 alarm fire.

Tucker promised to "see you soon" so you know he will soon be back up and running. His being canned at Fox is the story right now and it has legs, especially following Budweisers demise. These are not victories for the deep state, they are desperate moves of Scarface in his final shootout.

This does not mean that I see anything but horrendous judgement for the US, however, it seems these globalists running our country are desperate, they had to deliver the US, failing that the world will turn on the US and they will all go down in flames.

"A contempt for the truth or the reality of most people's lives - has overrun real journalism. Today, ordinary Americans are being stuffed with garbage"

“The reality is that the media are probably the most powerful of all our institutions today and they, or rather we, too often are squandering our power and ignoring our obligations. The consequence of our abdication of responsibility is the ugly spectacle of idiot culture!”

People can pretend, but the fact that their are still those who are duped by this garbage is a spectacle of our idiot culture. Being stupid has consequences, and being a complete idiot has catastrophic consequences.

For years I often wondered about how citizens in other countries that fell to socialism and communism could be so stupid to believe the lies and propaganda from their political leaders and news media and not stand up together against the corruption. I even thought at least in America people are smarter than that, but I was wrong! We have way too many stupid people in America as well who believe the same lies and propaganda that citizens in those other countries believed just before those countries fell. Is America next?

You really summed it up here - Being stupid has consequences, and being a complete idiot has catastrophic consequences!

Speaking of stupid! Brain washing the youth has been a very successful plan of communism.

Part of the reason for this has to be that so many American college students have been brainwashed into believing that socialism/communism are some sort of left wing utopia.

I was listening to a podcast by a gentleman, who is a leading authority on mass formation psychosis, he noticed in his work that level of intelligence (which can be very high as well) does not protect against being propagandized, one thing he did mention that a precondition to mass formation is a disconnect from God.

Another condition that leads to this mass formation is lack of social connection and free floating anxiety and aggression.

Very enlightening talk. :)

Ayn Rand's We The Living and The Fountainhead should be compulsive reading in
high school. Nobody in their right mind could support communism after reading those...

Tucker Carlson is a grifter. After having spent all these years gassing up trump, he suddenly flips the script and now he's saying Trump is all evil and stuff

Megyn Kelly Warns Tucker: Fox Trying to Destroy You

https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/megyn-kelly-tucker-carlson-fox-news/2023/05/02/id/1118294/

She could not have been more blunt about it.

Megyn Kelly is warning Tucker Carlson that Fox News' head of public relations is running "an orchestrated hit job" to smear him.

Kelly, a former Fox host, took to her podcast and said Fox's PR department is working overtime to stop Carlson's future employment and keep his 3.5 million viewers from following him to a new network.

"This is all an orchestrated hit job, in my opinion, and it's not a subtle one," Kelly claimed on Monday night's "The Megyn Kelly Show."

"It's not enough to fire you," Kelly said on her highly rated podcast.

"You must be destroyed, and it doesn't matter how nice a guy you were, how many points you put on the board for the channel, that you brought us through the Trump years, that you were No. 1 in your time slot, that you haven't said one negative word about us."

Kelly laid the blame not at the feet of the company's controlling shareholders, the Murdoch family, but Fox's notorious public relations department headed by Irena Briganti, the network's senior vice president for communication.

"You will be destroyed to settle some angry, bitter internal PR hack's personal vendetta against you," Kelly said. "And, if she managed to convince the bosses, the Murdochs, that he's not good for them either, that he may have called them a name or two: So much the better.

"That's what I think's going on here."
