yep agreed even to the first man created

“which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭3:38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

but scripturally the gospe always returns to Abraham and the promise of Jesus the messiah

eve also received a promise that Christ would be born and overcome the serpent so ininderstand what your saying I’m just saying doctrinally it always goes back here and here only

Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭51:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

if you think about it God told Abraham he was going to. Less all people through him so not sort of always returns to that promise the first thing he said to Abraham in scripture even Abram the Hebrew beforehand

“Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: and I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭12:1-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is why it always dates back to Abraham and not Noah or Enoch or Seth only because the Word of God declared the promise to Abraham only in preparation to fulfill all his words in the ot as he did

jesus is the seed of promise given to Abraham the redeemer of mankind the savior and messiah the sacrifice the high priest and great shepherd of the flock

it always returns to the promise God made to Abraham when he gave him a new name ( that’s where our new identity came from also as Abraham’s promise worked so it comes to us we aren’t who we were either but Godbhas made us a new promise like as to Abraham an eternal family his children forever
I don't disagree, but wasn't Christ promised in Genesis 3?

There is another reason why I bring this out. Adam was representative of the whole human race. We all died IN ADAM. I was hoping some would explore this aspect of what it means to be in Christ.

Have no idea what you mean. Hearing and believing the word doesn't put you "in Christ". No scripture says nor infers that.
How do we become in Christ?

John 8:36 plus Romans 8:2 If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set you free from the law of sin and death. :)
Great panels. They adorn the thread.

How do we become in Christ?
Great question with a simple answer. We're baptized into Christ and into his death.

Romans 6:3
3Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

brother what I’m saying is Jesus is never called the son of Adam because Adam was never promised to be the father of many nations or that all families of earth would be blessed through Adam infact we were all cursed through Adam that’s how we fell from grace to begin with into death

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

arhat happenee to Adam and his offspring and it’s why we need to be born again not reborn as Adam but in Christs image

remember the one man on the Bible who offered his only begotten son willingly to God ? The only son God recognized anyways

remember this ? This is what sort of makes my point while ininderstand what your saying look at this

“And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

……And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son. And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I. And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.

And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, and said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: that in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭22:2, 8, 10-12, 15-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Do you see how what Abraham did with Isaac begets what God did with Jesus ? And then consider what this is saying

Note how what Abraham did is really important along wi th what God promosed Abraham regarding his seed Jesus christ

“Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:7-9, 16, 26-27, 29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

to be born again as adams offspring is irrelevant we already are and need to be reborn in Christs image in Abraham’s seeds image to be the hiers of the promise made to Abraham only not Adam or Noah or eve but the promise soecifically given to Abraham and th en looking at what Abraham offered God his only begotten abrahan declaring agod would provide his own lamb for sacrifice and then God promising Jesus throughout the ot

it just always returns to Abraham because that’s the point God said “ in the I will bless all people in thy seed “ adams sees many are going to perish ll of Abraham’s seed in Christ will live

If Jesus were the son of Adam I think his death would be meaningless. He was without sin, therefore proof he was and is the Son of God. (I'm just stopping by this thread quickly so didn't read you entire post. I may be repeating something you already addressed here.) Got to run!

a yeah I didn’t say Jesus was adams son Jesus had no earthly biological father what I’m saying is Jesus is the son of Abraham’s promise and son of David’s promise

“The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Of course jesus is Gods son God manifest in the flesh of man

I'm sure you are speaking about water baptism. How does a physical act produce a spiritual reality? Even if you believe baptism to be a necessary attendant as part of salvation, there still is, of necessity, a spiritual causation to make it effectual. There is no spiritual power in water, otherwise a normal bath would produce the same result.

Right. It's a good point. But to understand what it means to be in Christ, it is necessary to understand what it means to be in Adam. And, at least to me, that would have to go back to Genesis to understand.

Read the text. Argue with Paul. It simulates Christ's death, burial, and resurrection

We learned what the scripture said: If any be in Christ they are a new creature....

but what else that's left? what have we not considered?
The main thing is, how does one get "in Christ" according to scripture? Once that's understood, the rest is easy to understand, and that's by being baptized into Christ: no other way according to scripture.

eother philip and Peter had baptism wrong and did it on water or maybe possibly you have come to a wrong conclusion
Are you suggesting that water baptism saves anyone or washes anyone's soul? Is being "in Christ" a spiritual reality or not? If it is then your lengthy post means nothing.

Right. It's a good point. But to understand what it means to be in Christ, it is necessary to understand what it means to be in Adam. And, at least to me, that would have to go back to Genesis to understand.
brother Adam is why we’re sinners condemned to death it’s why we need to be born again it’s why we needed a New Testament and salvstion redemption reconciliation ect

We have to change from adams fallen sinful image to Christs righteous and holy image it’s about changing from adams image to Christs that’s what born again Is about we need to go through this process

When you hear the gospel

if so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

that ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; ( adams image after they are the fruit )

and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; ( why we need to hear the gospel and believe )

and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:21-24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

put off adams corrupt sinful image and take up Christs holy righteous image found in the gospel

“Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; ( adams son)

and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: ( you’ve put on Christ your “in Christ “ )

where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:9-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

your in christ now walk as Christ walked because your “in him “you have “put on Christ “ you believe “in “Jesus , you trust what Jesus the lord says about salvstion and life and death because your faith is “in him “ you. have clothed yourself with Christ , your baptized “in his name”
you abide “in his doctrine “

your asking what it is to be in christ brother

It’s when you start hearing this type of statement

“For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:27-29‬ ‭

Thats why they constantly are saying “ in christ “ because of what they are teaching to believers of the gospel, the gospel originated not with Adam and Eve or Noah but when God promised Abraham that through Abraham’s faith , he would provide a seed that would bless all nations of earth through Abraham’s relationship of faith with God

At his is what the New Testament is all about the promise and relationship God had with Abraham Isaac and Jacob who all three received the same promise of a seed that would bless all people it definately does go to genesis bro

“and I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭12:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me. …and said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: that in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭22:12, 16-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Do you see that Abraham’s promise was put to a test of his faith d because he passed the test of faith God would fulfill his promise to bless all nations ? This is because of Abraham’s faithfulness that it comes to god “swearing by himself “

“By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD,

because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:

thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.””

this is what im saying Gods promise to Abraham is what the gospel is the promise to bless all nations through Jesus Abraham’s seed the reason I’m saying that is this just consider Paul’s conclusions of all this and see how it goes to Abraham every time

“Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:7-9, 14, 16, 18, 26-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The importance of thisnis immense because Abraham’s family born “in Christ “ are gods chosen elect and eternal children and not adams family of flesh and blood but the ones born here in Christ

“He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:10, 12-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In Christ brother starts on the gospel it’s what brings us out of adams fallen image and into Christs eternal image of Gods children

All well and good, but the fact is we're baptized into Christ.
Matthew 3:11 I baptize you with water for repentance, but after me will come One more powerful
than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

Acts 1:5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.

Jeremiah 2:13 "For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain
of living water, and they have dug their own cisterns--broken cisterns that cannot hold water."

Ephesians 4:5-6
:)
