There you go again - you just did that very thing - you try to rip salvation from the power of the Saviour, giving to man.
Not. But there is no point trying to discuss such things with you when
you deny your very own words and repeatedly falsely accuse others.

And you find it humorous.

Yes, because your statement is absurd on its face.

yes, even the born again one. When I tried to explain that, I was told God's warnings concerning false teachers were not warnings at all but "edification of the saints". When that rendering was exposed as foolishness, I was told those warnings do not apply to the born again one because "a true believe can NEVER be "led astray" into false belief" ... holy moly talk about closing your eyes and ears to Scripture ...
.

I have told some people to just rip that part out and forget it. They deny so much of what is in plain sight. They bind themselves to a verse or two and make a whole religion out of it. And then they dogmatically hold to it. It's very sad.

Believing that Christ is the Saviour, and that the Saviour alone saves (not man), is the Gospel. If you think otherwise,
then you do not comprehend its core/fundamental doctrine and your trust is in works and law not grace.

But that is not what you believe, your friend before you said it. You have to be saved to get saved. That is flat out false doctrine. No one here has said they save themselves. Not -one-single-person said or believes that. If you believe you have to be saved to get saved you're like a dog chasing it's tail. Don't tell us we don't comprehend, we read the Word with our own eyes. I don't give a fig what Calvin said, the Bible said "WHOSOEVER" and I will not shut the gate to heaven or stand by why someone else does!! He came for ALL. God said it, I believe it, that settles it, red x from man isn't going to change what the Word says.

Huh? "get saved to be saved"? That makes no sense, and I don't think that is what was said. What post are you referring to?
Regarding one's saving of oneself, anything, anything, that is required on their part in order to become saved, is their attempt to make their salvation of their efforts and not God's.
Salvation is a gift of God's in its entirety from start to finish through Christ to those whom He has chosen for such. Anything not as of a gift from Him makes it into a work and an attempt to rip it from the Saviour - which, of course, will/can never be successful.

They are the special ones who were lost. Alas, all those other people who are also lost are plum outta luck.
Jesus is not seeking them, nor is He drawing all men to Him as Scripture attests... according to their theology,
which has people saved devoid of faith and having no belief at all in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Nothing
is required of them whatsoever! They are hapless helpless puppets who had salvation forced on them

Gifts must be received.;)
No, a dead person cannot "receive" any gift. The gift is spiritual life. They must be placed in
possession of it - life from death - and would anyone then reject it? If they would, then they
never had it.

Really? Well, what then happens to those people (of which there are many) who cannot for reasons outside of their control, do whatever you think is necessary for salvation if it is not a gift?

Yes, because your statement is absurd on its face.
You are really playing up your lack of comprehension. Doesn't reflect well on your general
level of intelligence. Nowhere have I tried
"to rip salvation from the power of the Saviour,
giving to man."
You repeatedly falsely accuse others of that. Yes. Repeatedly. Over and over.

Thankfully, we know who the father of all lies is.

How do you think someone becomes saved?

That one is still going strong too.
Strong with long laspses of silence and nowhere near the level of rhetoric since others were banned also.

Thank God for small flavors!
.:D. I can say that even though that thread was a home for me.

How do you think someone becomes saved?
How many times do I have to answer that question from you?

You are really playing up your lack of comprehension. More!

Doesn't reflect well on your general level of intelligence.
