Correcting good behavior, part 2

5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?

6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.

7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

How do the priests profane the sabbath? It turns out that you must circumcise a boy on the 8th day regardless of whether or not it is the sabbath. Obviously that is work. How can the rabbis expect to get paid for doing a circumcision and yet pretend it isn't work?

Now consider my son, suppose he was real polite, smiled, didn't cry, do you think he could manipulate the rabbi into not circumcising him? God does not play around like that. God doesn't want to hear about how polite you are, how well behaved you are, He wants to know if you have circumcised the flesh with the passions and the lusts. Let's see the scar where the flesh was cut off.

In the church bad behavior is not the worst problem. Bad behavior is symptomatic of someone who has not given their life to the Lord and put everything on the altar, however, it isn't deceitful. Good behavior is symptomatic of someone who is a hypocrite, putting on a mask and pretending to be something they aren't. All lies are of the evil one and so they are more closely aligned with the evil one. There are a lot of people who are victims of abuse, they don't know how to respond so they respond with bad behavior. This person is desperate for a savior. But someone who is pretending to be religious with good behavior is not desperate, they are deceiving others and even deceiving themselves.

The way that leads to life is the narrow way, like going through the eye of a needle. It isn't your bad behavior, it isn't your good behavior, it is the Lord's work of redemption that will free you.

Correcting good behavior, part 3

Matthew 12:9 And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue: 10 And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him. 11 And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? 12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

This is an agricultural society. Pulling a sheep or an ox out of a ditch is critical. In the wild the animal would be a prey for wolves and so would panic. They do not understand about "sabbath day". But if you have a large animal it will take two or three to pull the animal out. No doubt farmers do this all the time and help their neighbors as well. So no one can pretend they don't. An ox is critical, it like loosing a tractor, so no rabbi is going to condemn this. So consider the hypocrisy, you have a person who is stuck in this ditch, why wouldn't you pull them out?

13 Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.

Your hands represent your work, his hand was withered because he bought into this whole "rules about the sabbath" and the reason he did that was because he was trying to behave like a child of God. This is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It teaches you how to be like God, rather than the tree of Life which gives you the life of the Son.

14 Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.

This is my point, if you don't submit yourselves to these liars and frauds they will hate you and try to destroy you just as King Saul tried to kill David.

When I was growing up I never had any trouble with bullies. Later I heard stories from others about how they were bullied and I wondered why this was. Then I remembered when I was in elementary school I was walking home and this kid who was bigger than me tried to bully me, so I fought him and that was it, never had any problem with him again. Later in Junior HS I was walking from the JHS to the HS for football practice. There was a kid with a group of football players and he saw me and tried to bully me. He thought I'd be intimidated by his friends. But the rule on the football team was if we had a fight with anyone on the team outside of practice then we got to finish it in practice. Those guys immediately backed away. Some of them were bigger than me, but none wanted to deal with a guy with a chip on his shoulder and the coach berating you as well. So I fought that kid and that was it. Then I was at the park hitting tennis balls against a backstop which was in a tunnel under the road. Two kids, each bigger than me, came up to me and wanted to steal my tennis racket. I figured I would lose the fight, but I would be able to hit one of them really hard with the racket first. However, there was no way I was going to go home and tell my dad the tennis racket was stolen without at least a black eye and bloody nose. So I gripped the racket, backed up to the wall and told them no, let's fight. Neither one wanted to be the one to get hit first so they walked away. Then my first day in HS I was talking to another kid when someone tried to bully him, so I chased that kid away. Then my last year in HS they had this big school wide street hockey tournament. Before our match a kid on our team came up to me and let me know everyone on our team was afraid of our opponent. They had Rigano and Distler, these were the two tackles on the football team and generally considered the two toughest kids in the school. Rigano was the left tackle, I was the left guard. I knew him, he was tough, but I certainly wasn't intimidated by him. Then Distler was the biggest and strongest kid in the school, he was the right tackle, but he grew up a few blocks from me and I knew him and was not intimidated by him at all. Mentally he wasn't as tough as Rigano. So the entire match was fought between me, and those two. Everyone else huddled on the other side of the court. I would hit the puck to one side where there were a bunch of matts stacked, I'd let Rigano get there first and body check him into the matts while flipping the puck behind me into the boards. I would bounce off of Rigano and ram Distler into the boards, take the puck and make a shot on goal. The game ended in a 1-1 tie. When it was over a teacher came up to ask me why I was angry with Rigano? Do you want to win the game? Do you want to defeat Satan and bring in the kingdom? Satan is plotting how he might destroy you. The Lord can train you to be in His army, He can lead you to victory, but that does not include you being Mr. Goody two shoes.

I remember something Bobby Orr once said. He was in his rookie season with the Boston Bruins, he was bringing the puck up ice and he heard someone saying for him to drop the puck for him (a way to open up the ice for a slap shot). He drops the puck and the guy was on the other team, took the puck for a breakaway on his own goal. This is how the battle is fought so toughen up.

Correcting good behavior, part 4

15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;

16 And charged them that they should not make him known:

17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

18 Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.

19 He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.

20 A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.

21 And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.

The Lord Jesus is the best coach.

My son was around six years old when he was getting bullied by a kid about two years older than him and a lot bigger. So I told him, put your nose in his chest, he can't hit you there. I watched him back this kid right up against the wall and the little 8 year old was confused and had no idea what to do. My son didn't hit him, just backed him up like a bulldog.

I was once playing softball with a bunch of church kids. The oldest guys on the team were in their twenties or thirties. I was in my twenties. But we had teenagers and even two kids who were six years old each. The kid on my team was put out into left field where he immediately took off his glove and sat down in the grass. So I called timeout and moved him to pitcher. The first two pitches were perfect, right across the plate. So I called timeout and went to the mound. I told him out of five pitches only two were supposed to be any good. I said those last two pitches were perfect, so these next three better be un-hittable. Immediately the other team began complaining but I called out "your pitching great, keep it up". However, this kid couldn't get a hit and he was miserable about that. So I asked him if he wanted me to help him get a hit? He said yes. So I said OK, do not swing at the first two pitches, just watch them go by, can you do that? He said yes. First pitch, I yell "good eye, good eye". He gives me this look like "what, is that supposed to encourage me?" Second pitch, I yell "good eye, good eye". He then gives me this desperate look "What am I supposed to do now?!" So I yell, "hey throw him something he can swing at, what's wrong with you anyway?" The pitcher cries out, "I'm trying". He gets it, all of a sudden he is digging his feet in, and choking up on the bat, he swings and a little dribbler goes down to third base. He beats out the throw and is on first base.

But this is not how I inoculated my son against this insidious teaching about manipulating people with being polite and flattering. That is a longer story.

Correcting good behavior, part 5

23 And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David? 24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. 25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

Satan has been beating these people up, bullying them, abusing them, and the Lord is teaching them how to stand up to the evil one so now the Pharisees want to credit Satan with that. We are not ignorant of Satan's devices, we are wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

The Lord doesn't deny it can appear to look like Satan is divided against himself. You look at the things happening in the world around us and some say the good guys are battling the bad guys, others say that no, this is just Satan casting out Satan to win our trust. Satan's strategy against the church is to divide and conquer, but the reality is he can only provide opportunities for the Lord to train us, mature us, and cause us to grow more into Him. The weakness of the church is not that we can be divided, in the Spirit, in the word of our faith, we cannot be divided. All that gets peeled off is our flesh and errors. However, Satan's kingdom is easy to divide, they are all out for themselves. They will sacrifice anything and anyone to get to the top of the heap.

27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.

The best way to bring judgement on the fallen ones is by their children. This is like the children of Israel crying out when they saw the giants in the land saying it was better to die in the wilderness. So God said OK, you will all die in the wilderness, and your children who you were so scared were going to be food for these giants, they will go into the land instead of you.

28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

Everyone wants a sign, a prophecy, something that will indicate that the Kingdom of God is come. This is it, seeing devils cast out by the Spirit of God.

29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.

This is the point. We are going to enter the strong man's house, bind him, and spoil his goods. Stop trying to be nice, the devil knows this is what will happen, he knows the captain of the host will do this, and if you don't know it then he realizes you are simply a stooge and might be someone he can devour.

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit

30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

This can be somewhat confusing. There are many politicians, they portray themselves as conservatives and as patriots but they also want the Evangelical vote. They are not "with" Evangelicals, they are not gathering with us. Rather they want you to gather with them, they want you to be with them. We need to be very clear on our mission. We are witnesses of the Lord Jesus, we are His servants, we are here preaching the gospel to all creation. Anyone who is not with that mission, is against the Lord. You don't need to be against them, you simply need to be clear, they are trying to pull you off course. We are gathering souls for the Lord, putting them into the church as an Inn where they can recuperate from being beaten up by the law. If they are not gathering for this same purpose then they are scattering.

31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

The context of this is very clear. Jesus healed a man with a withered hand on the sabbath. The Pharisees tried to condemn Him for this, but He put them to an open shame. He then healed a man possessed with a devil, blind and dumb. Their response was to say that He was casting out devils by Beelzebub. Why would they do this? They were plotting how to destroy Him and this is what they came up with. Perhaps they can scare people away from the Lord saying He is some kind of evil cult leader, a Satanist. If you accept this word you would be totally confused, who to believe, how can you possibly believe? Down is up, and up is down. The evil spirits don't simply possess people, they also cast out the evil spirits that possess people? The evil spirits make you blind and dumb but they also heal you from being blind and dumb? You don't say something like this unless you have given yourself over to serve Satan. When you sell your soul to Satan you are required to blaspheme the Holy Spirit.

32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

You can be insulting, dismissive, and unbelieving and still get saved. But if you have sold your soul to the devil and are knowingly blaspheming the Holy Spirit as some kind of soldier in Satan's army then you will not be forgiven.

When the Lord was crucified He said "Father forgive them for they know not what they do". This is not that, these ones know what they are doing.

But look at Mark because in Mark this word is slightly different:

28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: 29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation. 30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

In Mark you are in danger of eternal damnation, while in Matthew it appears to be a done deal.

And in Luke it is even more different:

20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you. 21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: 22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils. 23 He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth. 24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. 25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. 26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

In Luke there is a warning that the state of the man can become much worse than it was. In Mark we are told you are near to eternal damnation and in Matthew he says they will be eternally damned. This is "one, two, three strikes you are out in the old ball game".

There is a spiritual warfare going on and the entire world lies in the evil one. That means that world rulers, the elites, and even religious leaders like the Pope and the Dalai Lama can be fully in the evil one's camp. You can see because they are clearly not with the Lord, they are not gathering with the Lord, and they are outraged over people being healed and demons being cast out. Think of the story of King Saul, he was consumed with an evil spirit, he visited a medium, he was fully given over to the evil spirits.

This is simple

33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

If the fruit is good, then the tree is good. If the fruit is corrupt then the tree is corrupt. Stop letting them twist the words all around on you till you are confused. If the tree has apples that I can eat, then it is an apple tree. If the berries are poisonous, then the tree is poisonous.

34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

They are trying to confuse people, turn people away from salvation, but if you have wisdom from the word of God not only will you see through this but you will also be able to see what is in the abundance of their heart. The generation of vipers will be fully exposed to you.

35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

You will be able to discern good men and evil men. In your heart you have words treasured up, some have dirty jokes treasured up, others have words of life from the Bible and from their experiences of the Lord.

36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

All things came into being through the word of God. If you speak the word of God then you are involved in that creative process. This is your potential. If you fall short of your potential then you will be judged.

37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

He isn't saying that you will not be judged for actions, for sins, for stealing and murder and adultery and idolatry. What He is saying is how important and big are our words. If you proclaim with your words that Jesus is Lord you will be justified by those words, you will be saved. But if you blaspheme against the Holy Spirit with your words then you will be condemned by those words.

This is what 1 and 2 Samuel has wrought

A picture of the Antichrist

1 Now king David was old and stricken in years; and they covered him with clothes, but he gat no heat. 2 Wherefore his servants said unto him, Let there be sought for my lord the king a young virgin: and let her stand before the king, and let her cherish him, and let her lie in thy bosom, that my lord the king may get heat. 3 So they sought for a fair damsel throughout all the coasts of Israel, and found Abishag a Shunammite, and brought her to the king. 4 And the damsel was very fair, and cherished the king, and ministered to him: but the king knew her not.

Some argue that this is the woman described in the Song of Songs. Whether or not that is true this is certainly a picture of the raptured saints being caught up to the Father's house before the revelation of the Antichrist.

5 Then Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, I will be king: and he prepared him chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him. 6 And his father had not displeased him at any time in saying, Why hast thou done so? and he also was a very goodly man; and his mother bare him after Absalom. 7 And he conferred with Joab the son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar the priest: and they following Adonijah helped him.

Adonijah is a type of the Antichrist, and so is Absalom. So we see the "many Antichrists" that the Bible refers to. It is similar to Hitler and the coming Antichrist. We also see the apostasy with these leaders and priests following Adonijah.

8 But Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan the prophet, and Shimei, and Rei, and the mighty men which belonged to David, were not with Adonijah.

Once again, you will have the strong portion of the believers who will not fall away, they will not be part of the apostasy.

This is how 1Kings begins, so it reveals what was accomplished in 1Samuel and 2Samuel.

2Samuel concludes with a burnt offering and Peace offering being made by David for his arrogance and pride, and this offering is the threshing floor of Araunah that becomes the land on which the Temple is built.

1Samuel began with a vow and a peace offering and burnt offering of Hannah to give her firstborn son to the Lord.

God blessed Hannah's offering to bring in David the King, and God blessed David's offering to bring in an eternal kingdom.

Correcting Good Behavior part 6

13 The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side. 2 And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. 3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; 4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: 5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: 6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. 7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: 8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. 9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

If you are sowing seeds, speaking the word, you don't need to worry about each seed springing up and bringing forth fruit. The Lord understands the fowls will devour some of them, He understands that not all people have the depth of soil in their heart, He knows there are hidden stones, and He knows about the thorns. Let people know they will be held accountable for how they treat the word from the Lord. Take the attitude that you are a train rolling down the tracks and there is nothing and no one that can stop you. The Lord has given you the word to "go" and anyone who tries to stop you will need to take it up with the Lord Jesus.

Correcting good behavior part 7

10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

Why are you speaking in a way that they don't understand?

11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

This is not a secret society, we don't have vows of secrecy, but that doesn't mean we are foolish. If you have a heart and a desire to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven all you need to do is pray and ask the Lord for a spirit of revelation. These ones don't have a heart and they don't pray.

12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

Can we consider this phrase a little, to those who have not even what they have will be taken away? What does that mean? How can the Lord take anything away from you if you don't have anything? That is the point, you think you "have not" but others see what you have as being valuable and so it will be taken away from you because you don't appreciate it. I read that growing up Magic Johnson only had one thing, a basketball. He went everywhere with it, dribbled it to school, never let it out of his sight, fearful someone would take it. To many people having one basketball is the same thing as having nothing, but Magic Johnson made it into something great, and now he has in abundance.

13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

The Lord is speaking in parables because they do not treasure and appreciate the words of God.

14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: 15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

This is a heart problem, it is an eye problem and it is a hearing problem. The problem is not with the word of God.

16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. 17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

Pray that your eyes would be blessed and your ears would be blessed.

Lord, can you explain this?

1Kings 3:3 And Solomon loved the Lord, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places.

Burning incense and sacrificing in high places, that is part of idol worship. How can Solomon love the Lord and walk in the statutes of David if he is doing this? Then I thought about all those Christians who go to church in the morning and to the football game in the afternoon. Paying 100s of dollars to go to a game is "sacrificing in high places". Cheering for your team, wearing their colors, etc, this is burning incense to them. No doubt there are "good Christians" who go to various sporting events, they go to church, they walk in the statutes, it is just this one thing they enjoy doing.

Correcting good behavior part 8

16 Then came there two women, that were harlots, unto the king, and stood before him.

17 And the one woman said, O my lord, I and this woman dwell in one house; and I was delivered of a child with her in the house.

18 And it came to pass the third day after that I was delivered, that this woman was delivered also: and we were together; there was no stranger with us in the house, save we two in the house.

19 And this woman's child died in the night; because she overlaid it.

20 And she arose at midnight, and took my son from beside me, while thine handmaid slept, and laid it in her bosom, and laid her dead child in my bosom.

21 And when I rose in the morning to give my child suck, behold, it was dead: but when I had considered it in the morning, behold, it was not my son, which I did bear.

22 And the other woman said, Nay; but the living is my son, and the dead is thy son. And this said, No; but the dead is thy son, and the living is my son. Thus they spake before the king.

23 Then said the king, The one saith, This is my son that liveth, and thy son is the dead: and the other saith, Nay; but thy son is the dead, and my son is the living.

24 And the king said, Bring me a sword. And they brought a sword before the king.

25 And the king said, Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one, and half to the other.

26 Then spake the woman whose the living child was unto the king, for her bowels yearned upon her son, and she said, O my lord, give her the living child, and in no wise slay it. But the other said, Let it be neither mine nor thine, but divide it.

27 Then the king answered and said, Give her the living child, and in no wise slay it: she is the mother thereof.

Why does this work? Because the women believe that he doesn't care and would just as soon cut the kid in half and be done with it. This is an example of "wise as serpents harmless as doves". Does Solomon appear to be an evil, tyrannical ruler like Pharaoh or Stalin? Yes. But is he also harmless as a dove? Yes.

The cross of Christ is the wisdom of God. It is like a sword that can immediately discern the thoughts and intents of the heart. When Solomon brought out the sword to crucify the baby he could immediately discern the one with an evil intent from the mother.

There is a striking difference in the three synoptic gospels

11 And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.

In all three gospels Jesus is arrayed in a robe and mocked. In Luke He is arrayed in a "gorgeous" robe which is like a glistening white robe. In Mark He is arrayed in purple and in Matthew He is arrayed in scarlet.

However, there is another striking difference here. In Luke He is arrayed in a gorgeous robe when He goes to Herod, this is before Pilate judges Him and scourges Him.

In Matthew and Mark He is arrayed by the soldiers after being scourged and delivered to be crucified. Mark does not say a purple robe, but simply purple. Matthew says they put a scarlet robe on Him.

This is one of the most striking differences in the three gospels and is a major clue that these three gospels are referencing three different harvests (Scarlet being wine and fruit harvest, purple being purple wheat and wheat harvest, and glistening white being the barley harvest and pearl barley).

Also, only in Luke does it refer to Jesus being sent to Herod.

Jesus vs Barabbas

13 And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people, 14 Said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him: 15 No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him. 16 I will therefore chastise him, and release him. 17 (For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.) 18 And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas: 19 (Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.)

Barabbas means "son of the father" and these two clearly refer to the scapegoat that Leviticus 16 talks about on the day of Atonement. Barabbas would be the scapegoat and Jesus is the sin offering.

Now we have the January 6th prisoners who have been held for a certain sedition made in the city of Washington DC, and for murder of a police officer. These are clearly inflated charges and there are many calling for their release, and they have certainly been "scapegoated" by Biden and others portraying them as domestic terrorists. However, at the same time there is also at attack on Evangelical Christians. The world is moving towards an ecumenical movement with all three major religions (Catholocism, Judaism, and Islam) joining together saying they all worship the same God while attacking Evangelicals for saying that Jesus is the only way to God. The LGBTQ community also hates the Evangelicals for calling their lifestyle sinful while everyone else wants to normalize that lifestyle. Not only so but the globalists are pushing a transgender movement where they can castrate children without the parents knowledge and the Evangelicals are standing against that as well.

If they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?

27 And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him. 28 But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children. 29 For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck. 30 Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us. 31 For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?

This portion is only in Luke. Once again this is why I view this book as giving us a picture of the "pre tribulation" rapture. The world is still the "green tree", in Mark and Matthew it has become the dry tree. You would not describe being in the midst of a great depression as "the green tree". Therefore I think this is one more picture that the rapture precedes the collapse of the US and the world's economy. The concept of "build back better" is that no one is going to accept the reign of Antichrist if everything is hunky dory, you need a collapse of law and order and a collapse of the economy, for people to be willing to exchange freedom for security and peace.

They know not what they do

Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.

This is another verse unique to Luke. Prior to the tribulation it is fair to say that many do not know what they are doing. But after the rapture, after Antichrist is revealed, after they are chopping off heads for anyone who refuses the mark of the beast, that is no longer a defense. This is illustrated in the movie Schindler's list. He was going along just fine, believing everything was all well and good until he saw the Nazi's rounding up Jews from the Ghetto for the concentration camps and shooting them in the streets. That was when he could no longer pretend that he didn't know what they were doing.

Right now there may be those who think that Evangelicals are the problem. Think about Trump, many voted for Biden just because they thought Trump's tweets were the problem. They did not appreciate the fact that he had kept us out of war and had managed to have a strong economy. Instead they thought he was the one stirring up hatred and strife and if they could just get rid of him then everything would become peaceful again. Think about the mandates, how many people went along with that stuff even though it was designed to put small business into bankruptcy? They went along because "they did not know what they were doing".
