Summary of Bible references on the Rapture

Luke 17:22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. 23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them. 24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

I was surprised listening to a documentary on the Branch Davidians, it seems the reason they joined the cult was because they desired to see one of the days of the Son of man. But the Lord Jesus is far too great, when He is revealed at the end fo the age He will light up the heavens.

25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. 26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

Prior to the revelation of Jesus He must suffer and be rejected just as it was in the days of Noah.

27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

The context of this verse is this is how they rejected Noah and how Noah suffered. They will ignore him, he will be the butt of jokes, and they will think that this big feast they are eating or wedding banquet is evidence that they are right and he is wrong.

"As it was in the days of Noah so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man". There is a very clear parallel between the days of Noah and the days of the Son of man. Noah was 600 years old when the flood came, so let us look at the key days of Noah and see if we can see any parallels.

1. The first day is not his birth, the first day we are given for Noah is the day that he received the revelation of the coming flood and the design for the ark that he was to build. The Bible doesn't tell us exactly when that day was but it does say he was married and had three sons. So if I assume he was 30 that would be 570 years ago and the really big development in the age of grace 570 years ago where we got the vision of the coming judgement and the plans on how to build the church, that would be the Gutenberg Bible.

This of course raises a very big question, the age of grace began the year Jesus was raised from the dead and poured out the Spirit on Pentecost. The Gutenberg Bible was published more than a thousand years later. What happened? Well it is like the account in Genesis. God created the heavens and the earth and then the earth became waste and void. Genesis then gives us the account of the restoration of the earth and John tells us all things came into being through the word of God.

2. Now according to this word in Luke the next big days for us to look at are the days of Jesus being rejected. We are also told that Noah preached the gospel for 120 years and then the flood came. This would be when the world would be rejecting the gospel, suffering many things, eating, drinking and giving in marriage. So then, what happened around 1900 that could give us these 120 years? In 1898 the Gideon ministry began with three brothers and this ministry has distributed 2.5 billion bibles since then. They also have a website with the Bible in over 200 languages.

Many don't appreciate how much the gospel has exploded in these last 120 years. The world wars, TV, Radio and Newspaper have all contributed to a massive spread of the word of God on a scale not seen previously. Then the internet has increased that spread another ten fold. We now have astonishing tools like the Blue Letter Bible on the internet, and Youtube videos, and blogs and computer programs that will translate everything we share into various languages.

Billy Graham lived from 1918 to 2018 and over 100 million people listened to his sermons. So yes, we had some great missionaries in the 19th century, but none that spoke to 100 million people.

Have they rejected the gospel? Yes again, we see the apostasy in full bloom. King Charles who is supposed to be the head of the Anglican church says he wants to be the spiritual head of all faiths in his country. He said this while living in an adulterous relationship with a married woman while also being married to another woman. Clearly his concept of what it is to be a spiritual example of faith rejects the apostle's fellowship on this matter. We also see the UN setting up one world religion where the only one that is rejected are Evangelical Christians.

How about suffer many things? Yes again, the last 120 years have seen more wars and more suffering than in all human history prior to this. We also have numerous global pandemics during that time and with modern transportation and airfare this will only get worse. We have seen nuclear war as well. Although the two bombs dropped on Japan come to mind, the fact is that the use of "depleted uranium shells" is spreading low level radiation everywhere. We have also invented a new term "genocide" and saw the holocaust during WW2 as well as a number of other genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, etc.

3. The next day is when Noah and his family entered the ark and were shut in by God. This was 7 days before the flood came that washed everyone else away. This might refer to the pre tribulation rapture seven years before Armageddon, or it might refer to a 7 day warning prior to the rapture. I think entering the ark and having God shut the door sounds like the rapture itself and so I suspect the "seven day warning" is the rapture. When everyone sees Christians all over the world raptured that would be when they would get their warning that everything is about to take place.

4. Now we are told that on the 17th day of the 2nd month the rain started. We also know that when the rapture takes place the restrainer steps aside and the Antichrist is revealed. The fallen angels and Satan are cast out of heaven when the manchild is caught up and that may be comparable to the rain falling.

The 17th day of the 2nd month at Noah's time would be the 17th day of the 8th month today since the calendar (Hebrew) has changed by six months due to the Exodus from Egypt. Still, the 17th day of the 2nd month on this calendar would certainly be "as the days of Noah". This is a particularly notable "day of Noah" as we are given the exact date.

On our modern Hebrew Calendar the 17th day of the 2nd month would be approximately May 7th, the Lord's day. The days in the Bible begin at sundown, not midnight so there is a little overlap with May 6th. They are also based on the new moon and that too might change things by a day.

Genesis 7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

It is very hard to believe that the Lord's reference to the days of Noah is not a direct reference to this day.

What makes it even more compelling is that the 2nd Passover is the 14th day of the 2nd month and the day of resurrection would be the 17th day of the 2nd month.

What makes it even more compelling is that this is May 7th, and immediately follows a lunar eclipse (May 5th) and a solar eclipse (April 20th) and we were told in Joel that the great and notable day of the Lord will be preceded by a solar eclipse and then by a lunar eclipse.

What makes it even more compelling is that May 7th is the Lord's day, the only appointed day where we are doing a dress rehearsal of the wedding feast in the New Testament.

It is also the time of the barley harvest which corresponds with Ruth

And it is the time described in the Song of Songs for the rapture.

Not only so but the alliance against Israel that we see in Ezekiel 38 is currently in place. So we could easily see the Ezekiel 38 war this summer.

This also corresponds with the word in Habakkuk that the day is for an appointed time though it tarries it will not tarry. If the appointed time is Passover it may seem like it is tarrying until you realize the second coming is going to be marked by the 2nd Passover. Then you realize it isn't tarrying.

This also corresponds with the Lord's words about "those days being shortened". If the 70th week began on Nisan 1 but the tribulation doesn't begin until Ayar 17, that shortens the 7 years by 47 days.

I would also add that the story playing out in the heavens for the last 5 1/2 years is amazing (See Dr. Barry Awe and God a Minute).

The days of Vengeance

Luke 21:22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

Only Luke says this. The first time this word is used is in Luke:

Luke 18:7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? 8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

We learn in the OT prophets that the Lord compares the wickedness to a vat where you might make wine and says it is filled to overflowing. The US has made many enemies through the CIA, through our corporations, and through our arrogance and pride.

I was in Taiwan when all the crimes and lies of the cigarette companies got exposed. We learned they were selling cigarettes as an addictive drug that kills you but pretending ignorance when they talked to the government. As a result a huge settlement was made for them to pay for their sins while many places made it illegal to smoke indoors or in planes, etc. What Americans didn't realize was at the exact same time this was all over the front page of the news our government was negotiating with Taiwan for military equipment to protect themselves from China, but as part of the agreement Taiwan had to allow US cigarette makers to sell cigarettes in Taiwan. How is that for in your face abusive policies?

The US blew up the Nordstream pipeline so that Germany could not get energy from Russia. Germany is supposed to be our ally, how do you think they feel about us making sure they freeze in the winter? The global pandemic came out of a bioweapons lab where the US was paying for that research. The vaccine that everyone is taking and is made in the US is causing a "Died Suddenly" syndrome. How do you think the world feels about this?

The list of countries that want to take vengeance on the US is very long. We know about Iran, N. Korea, China, Russia, Venezuela, but add Germany and France to that list as well.

The US gave the Taliban a list of people in the country that helped the US during our occupation. How do you think that makes people feel who allied themselves with the US?

When we write multi trillion dollar spending budgets who pays for them? Everyone who is holding US debt which is all the nations of the world. In 2022 the US government spent over $6 trillion on its budget while China spent about half that, over $3 trillion on its budget. China has 4x as many people as the US, so they are spending about 1/8th of the US on a per capita basis. China is a superpower with a GDP as big if not bigger than the US. Yet compared to them we are profligate spenders. Do you think our spending and causing the inflation in the world's economy is not going to create enemies?

We are about to see all the countries that hate the US rise up and attack. This is from God, it is an answer to prayer. The US government is overrun by idolatry worshipping evil people with an evil agenda. They are violent, they are sorcerers, they are evil, and these are the days of vengeance.

Who does this day come upon unawares?

34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

For all those Christians saying "no one knows the day or the hour" be warned. The day only comes upon you unawares if you are overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and the cares of this life.

35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

A snare is a trap that you don't see and carelessly walk into. You need to be walking carefully like someone looking for trip wires, and snares and land mines.

36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

The point is always to "watch always". What is the point of saying "no one knows the day or the hour"? It is like the fool tromping through the woods thinking you will never see the snare so stop watching for them.

THE HARPADZO RAPTURE--DO YOU KNOW WHY GOD EVACUATES HIS OWN CHILDREN FROM THE EARTH?


This is one of the big questions I have had for the last two years. You can't think of the 70th week as the final quarter of the football game. Instead, think of the 70th week starting when the age of grace is over, the football game for unbelievers is over. So instead think of this as the fire alarm, we leave the burning building as it goes up in flames. However, we come back with the heavenly fire department at the end of the 70th week to rescue Israel.

So then Christians who are "left behind" are like those that the fire department must rescue from the burning building. It would have been better if everyone had heard the fire alarm and exited the building. But God is merciful and will rescue those who are left behind in the burning building.

When is the age of grace, the church age over?

This is the job we were given:

Teach and Baptize

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Preach the gospel

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Be witnesses

Luke 24:46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: 47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 And ye are witnesses of these things.

Rescue people from sin

John 20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. 22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: 23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.


No where are we charged to make the world a Christian place. You cannot prevent the age from ending and the Lord returning because the governments are sinful, or people have rejected the gospel. In Mark it is clear, those that believe not are damned. In Luke it is clear, you are witnesses in a trial, if the case is made beyond a reasonable doubt the jury can make a decision. In John it is clear, not all will be saved from sin, some will have their sins retained and will be condemned.

The age of grace is over when we have completed this mission. Have we gone into all the world? Have we preached the gospel to all? Have we completed our witness?

How they might kill Him; for they feared the people

Look what they have done to Trump, what they have done to Steve Bannon, what they have done to Tucker Carlson. Look what happened to Budweiser and Fox. It is very clear they are seeking how to kill this populist movement but they fear the people.

Sift you as wheat

Luke 22:31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

I think this is a very clear reference to the tribulation (a word that refers to the way in which wheat is sifted). Why? Peter denies the Lord when He is being crucified. When does his faith not fail and he strengthens his brethren -- that would be at Pentecost.

Therefore I think we can realize that Pentecost is not typifying the pre-tribulation rapture. Nor does the ascension typify the left behind saints. We see Peter bringing in the 153 fish the 3rd time that the Lord appears to them after His resurrection. That would be the harvest during the tribulation and well before the 40th time at which Jesus ascends.

He was reckoned among the transgressors

Luke 22:33 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death. 34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

Isn't this stunning, why is Peter left behind? He is a disciple of the Lord, He has been with Jesus from the beginning, He was one that went on a missionary trip when Jesus sent them out 2 by 2.

35 And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing. 36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. 37 For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.

This was one of the things that stunned me the most. I expected that when I became a disciple of the Lord it would mean financial depravation, I figured that was a given, but when I learned that I would be reckoned among the transgressors, that shocked me. It is not surprising to be ridiculed, mocked and rejected. But to be labeled as a felon, that was a complete surprise to me. The cross of Christ is a shameful death, it is slanderous.

I think this is what Peter didn't realize. He was willing to be a follower of the Lord as long as it was also respected. You see this among Christians, we must be obedient subjects to our government, they base this on the charge to be obedient to the authority. But in the US the authority is the constitution. What do you do if the crooks, the thieves and the murderers are in positions of power? If I am obedient to the constitution I will stand agains them and be labeled "a domestic terrorist" or "irredeemable" or "deplorable", etc.

He found them sleeping

39 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.

40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.

41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,

42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.

44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,

46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.

47 And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.

In Luke the Lord finds them sleeping once. In Mark they are sleeping twice. In Matthew they are sleeping three times. This supports the interpretation that Luke is talking about the pre tribulation rapture, there will be disciples sleeping at this time. Mark refers to the saints rescued out of the tribulation, this will be the second time that disciples are found asleep, and Matthew refers to saints rescued as the nation of Israel at the end of the tribulation, they will be found sleeping three times.

Cut off his right ear

Luke 22:50 And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.

51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.

All three gospels have this account, but only in Luke does the Lord touch his ear and heal him. This event, this arrest of the Lord will be a judgement on "the servant of the high priest". In the pre tribulation rapture many will be healed by seeing that, but in Mark and Matthew during the tribulation they have hardened their hearts against the Lord, so no healing.

This is your hour and the power of darkness

Luke 22:53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.

We are told that when the saints are raptured, caught up, the restrainer steps aside and it is the time when Antichrist is revealed and Satan can rule unrestrained on the earth. We are also hearing that this event will include three days of darkness. So Jesus was in the grave for three days, likewise after the rapture the earth will "be in the grave for three days" seeing a glimpse of hell.

We will weep over the wrong concepts that we are holding

Luke 22:55 And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them.

56 But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him.

57 And he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not.

58 And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou art also of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not.

59 And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him: for he is a Galilaean.

60 And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew.

61 And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

62 And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.

You are going to see social credit scores, and people accusing each other of being Christians, Evangelicals, pushing "Jesus is the only way", etc. This is clearly going to take place at the outset of the tribulation. Peter represents the Christian who wants the best of both worlds, he wants the words of life that Jesus offers and he also wants to be a respected member of the community. He thinks that the verse which says that Christians should not suffer as a wrongdoer means that we shouldn't even be accused or slandered as a wrong doer. Try telling that to Jesus.

They will strike and mock the prophets

Correcting good behavior

When my first born son was very young he was the most polite and well behaved child. I was in Taiwan, did not speak Chinese, but when I would go to gather my children from the Sunday school class the teachers would look at me like I was a stranger and then some woman would rush up and say in hushed tones "that is Gurion's dad" and they would all look at me in awe. It was like being in the zoo, all the parents and teachers would be tapping each other and pointing as saying "Gurion's dad". Then my son told me he had discovered the secret to life, all he had to do was be very polite and he could get people to do anything. His mother was beaming, but I said "that is not the secret to life". Wow, it was like hitting a hornets nest, his mother went nuts full of insults and attacks. So I bided my time, I knew I would have an opportunity to correct this behavior. Do you really want your son growing up to be manipulative? That is what sociopaths do. This is what hypocrites and actors do. Who wants to go through life living a lie. Then when you challenge that they show their true colors and are like a poisonous snake.

12 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat. 2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day. 3 But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him; 4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?

The Jews have a long laundry list of what you can and cannot do on the Sabbath. It isn't in the Bible so why do they do it? This is simply an attempt to "pretend to be a good and obedient Jew". So let's consider the example that Jesus gives. David was a good and obedient servant of Saul but Saul became jealous and was trying to kill David. At first, David would play soothing music for Saul and that helped, but eventually his jealousy was a monster and would stop at nothing to try and kill David. So David flees from the palace with his company of soldiers, stops at the house of God and received the shewbread to feed his men.

King Saul represents an antichrist, someone who is a counterfeit king. The rulers of this age are all counterfeits, they do not have the anointing of God and they know that those who do will ultimately replace them. There is no way to be faithful to the Lord while compromising with these counterfeits. Satan will fill them with an evil spirit and they will try to kill you. You can be trained by the Lord to be a mighty man in David's army (the army of the Lord Jesus) but not if you want to also be an obedient serf to the Satanic overlords. You can serve the Lord, or you can serve Mammon, but you cannot do both. This is the mistake many Christians make.

I saw from a very young age my son was going to fall into that trap so I prayed, trusted in the Lord and He gave me a way to correct that good behavior (I will share this later, no time right now).
