Anger occurs when our desires (whether unrighteous desires or righteous desires) have not been met. The loss of those desires causes a grievous displeasure that can be manifested in various ways. Although anger can be righteous (Eph. 4:26), we most often have and thus display unrighteous anger. Unrighteous anger is usually accompanied by pride and selfishness. Contrary to anger are meekness, self-control, peace, and patience.
ANGER in the heart says things such as: "I have a bad attitude." "I am not getting what I want." "I am bummed, grumpy, irritated, disappointed, or frustrated."

Anxiety is worry. It is a care or concern for something to the extent that it disturbs or troubles our soul. It is taking thought to something so much that it encumbers our mind. Anxiety causes fear, sorrow, fretting, and dread because we believe that God will not care for our situation appropriately.
ANXIETY in the heart says such things as: "I can't stop thinking about this." "I'm stressed out!" "God is not taking care of this the right way."

Bitterness is a form of anger toward God and others that brings despair of soul. It is a hatred of others and a lack of forgiveness of their wrongs, whether those wrongs are real or perceived. Our bitterness grieves that situations have not been made “right” according to our own expectations. Bitterness causes us to miss out on God’s grace in daily life, and it spreads trouble to others (Heb. 12:15). Contrary to bitterness are joy, love, and meekness.
BITTERNESS in the heart says such things as: "I want others to suffer for their wrongs against me." "I hate them." "God has done wrong to me." "I can't get over this...."

Despair is a state of complete hopelessness that fails to have a biblical, eternal perspective. Despair is a fixation upon earthly, temporal situations that causes a downcast spirit and utter discouragement. It is the sin of unbelief in the fact that God always acts and assists in a way that is for our absolute good and total benefit. Contrary to despair is the faith and confidence in God’s sovereign goodness that leads to joyful hope and patient endurance.
DESPAIR in the heart says things such as: "God cannot help me." "My life is hopeless." "I cannot go on." "God is doing wrong to me.

Blessings.
the Christian definition of anxiety is misplaced priorities in life!

From wiki: Plagiarism is the fraudulent representation of another person's language, thoughts,
ideas, or expressions as one's own original work. Although precise definitions vary, depending
on the institution, such representations are generally considered to violate academic integrity
and journalistic ethics as well as social norms of learning, teaching, research, fairness, respect,
and responsibility in many cultures. It is subject to sanctions such as penalties, suspension,
expulsion from school or work, substantial fines, and even imprisonment.
who was or who will be the 1st person arrested for plagiarism?

You've covered the first step, that is, recognizing those sins in us, not just in others. The second step is discovering how to overcome those self-centered uses of our anger and anxiety.
Hello Bruce, perhaps we should talk about the "second step" (as you put it) by considering all of the practical ways that we, as believers, can get past/overcome these dark emotions (when they rear their ugly heads and get in the way of our walk).

Before I get started with the rest however, I have a question for you. While there is a selfless/righteous kind of "anger", can that be said of "anxiety" too? IOW, is there a righteous/selfless kind of "anxiety" that both glorifies God benefits/blesses others  (I ask because I've never considered that "anxiety" might have a positive side, for the Christian anyway, though I do believe that "anxiety" and "despair" can play an important role in the lives of the unsaved, in helping lead them to Christ .. e.g. Galatians 3:24).

That said, quite a number of verses/passages come to mind about overcoming our dark (sinful) emotions, so I'll start by posting some of them for us (in no particular order, other than Biblical).
Romans 8
28 We know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
2 Corinthians 10
5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
Philippians 4
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
1 Thessalonians 5
16 Rejoice always;
17 pray without ceasing;
18 in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

God bless you!!

I looked it up... well, not the first person to be arrested for plagiarism, but just in general, and found this:

Former Vice President Joe Biden has fallen foul of plagiarism several times throughout the years.
He failed a course when he was in law school because he plagiarized a paper. According to the
New York Times, Biden stated that he had "used five pages from a published law review article
without quotation or attribution" in an article he wrote for the Fordham Law Review. In 1988,
Biden was forced to withdraw from the presidential race due to plagiarism allegations. Some of
his speeches were taken from speeches made by the Kennedys, Hubert Humphrey and Britain's
Neil Kinnock during his campaign against Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.

You can find more examples like that here (<= link .:))

PS~ Do people get arrested for this, or just charged and convicted/fined? .

There are serious consequences:

Legal Repercussions
The legal repercussions of plagiarism can be quite serious. Copyright laws are absolute. One cannot use another person’s material without citation and reference. An author has the right to sue a plagiarist. Some plagiarism may also be deemed a criminal offense, possibly leading to a prison sentence. Those who write for a living, such as journalists or authors, are particularly susceptible to plagiarism issues. Those who write frequently must be ever-vigilant not to err. Writers are well-aware of copyright laws and ways to avoid plagiarism. As a professional writer, to plagiarize is a serious ethical and perhaps legal issue.

I still struggle with completely forgiving moderators who delete my posts, lock my threads, and/or ban me from their website.

I forgive them, don't get me wrong.

But I forgive them with guile.

I ask the Lord to "receive them as sons" (Hebrews 12:6) and to "seek out their wickedness till He finds none" (Psalms 10:15).

Only trolls get this kind of treatment. So what you need to do is get grounded in sound Bible doctrine before you post.

I have been rooted in sound biblical doctrine. And I am not a troll, either.

I have been banned and had posts deleted because what I wrote simply was not something that itched the ears of those who were in authority.

Jesus will receive them as sons (Hebrews 2:6); and will also "seek out their wickedness till He finds none" (Psalms 10:15).

I love you all. I just get frustrated sometimes because it seems like some people will walk a country mile just to poop on their neighbor. I don't want to be one of those people. I love you all. Forgive me for saying mean things at times. I want my heart to be right with God.

That would make for a great advertising campaign for Depends.

I hope I don't get dunked in hot water for plagiarizing the KJV.

CC isn't a warm, cozy, family place of sharing anymore. The word police have come to town. Soon to follow: the chart police, then the cartoon police...

Coming soon to CC: The ways of the world. :(
Lawyer up, little dogies!

Well said, Alice! (y)

Verses that come to mind:

1 Timothy 6:6
“But godliness with contentment is great gain.”

Philippians 4:11
“Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.”

Except for she did not say it, someone else did.
