I know the popular saying is "You're never alone when you have God in your life". And deep down, I truly believe it. However, there are times when you just need another person in your life to share your sorrows and pains...somebody who will give you feedback or just give you a hug because you're hurting. In my case, my best friend and I decided that our friendship had reached it's end. Too many lies and deceptions. She was not only my best friend, but also was going to be my business partner in a Christian media venture I am working on. We weren't in a "romantic" relationship Per Se, but my heart is broken none the less. I'm 61 years old, so I doubt if I'll ever find that one "true" love, but I am hoping to find a new friend...and possible new business partner. I can be reached through this forum or you can E-Mail me at [email protected]. This could end up being an incredible adventure...New beginnings are always exciting!

Albeit posting personal contact information is not against the rules,
it is not entirely smart since it is now available to the whole internet.

Likewise, Christian Chat highly recommends that users not randomly contact people away
from this site unless they know the user well since many people have less than noble intent.

^ That is a post this forum's mod made about sharing personal information publicly.

God created us as social beings, we are unconplete unless we are connected intimately (in platonic way) with another person. People need people. Loliness hurts our souls and it feels like a physical pain.

I'm so glad you are here now, God is an unlimited God, trust him to meet your every need. 👁️ will be seeing you!

And yet, despite that need, a lot of us are alone. With me, it's not for a lack of trying or an inability to make friends.

I'm 72. I was divorced nearly 30 years ago. I married again October last year. I never expected this. I could not be happier. There is always hope!

Off-topic a bit... I just wish God would remove my desire for a mate entirely. I have asked Him repeatedly for this, but like many of my prayers, it's been an ineffective one. 14 years of being widowed, 12 years since my last bonafide date with a Christian woman... C'mon now. And no, hearing that some of you waited 30 years for your next marriage does NOT encourage me.

Sorry Jim... I don't know what happened or who did what, but life sometimes just sucks. Part of the Fall. Our one hope? It'll be over soon.

Perhaps being divorced is different. My friends were keen for me to find someone again. I looked, had a few dates, but nothing came of any of them. I became resigned to remaining single and later, pretty much content. When I thought about marriage, it all seemed too much trouble. I had a close Christian friend for many years. She was widowed. She was not interested in marrying again. That changed as we grew closer. The final trigger was that she became seriously ill, early 2021. I thought I might lose her, and that was about the worst day of my life. She recovered 100%. The rest is history, as they say.

God knows our needs. He knows how and when to meet them. His wisdom is infinite. His love is absolute. Ask God to show you why you have no answer to your prayers. In general, our troubles are intended to bring us closer to, and more dependent on Christ. It's sure worked for me!
