I believe there are daily decisions outside of scripture that has no bearing on life. The Lord is concerned about our hearts and living for him. I don't think where a rose bush is planted is a concern with the Lord.
You picked the most inconsequential of situations to criticize as though it were a reasonable representative for all. That's fallacious reasoning.

The Lord knows how the bush will grow: whether it will interfere with another plant in "that" spot, or its roots will interfere with one in "this" spot. He knows that it will be attacked by aphids "here" but not "there".

Your god is too small. ;)

Why then does He number the hairs on our heads? He both knows and cares about us in the most mundane affairs. He delights to be involved.

Methinks you're missing out, and instead of being curious to learn more, you've shut your mind in your quest to avoid doing the wrong thing. That's the response of a fearful child who knows little more than criticism and abuse. The confident child tries things and inquires often, trusting that the Father will correct gently when needed, and with edification.

They want their ears tickled.
That's why the false prophets are thriving.
I most certainly do not want "my ears tickled," and it's a perverted notion to suggest that to be so. The ear tickling is in regard to turning away from the truth and turning aside to myths, like angel baby daddies.

It is certainly common to want to receive a prophetic word from the Lord, and it is not necessarily wrong to do so. The problem as you state is that people hear "a word" and do not examine it sufficiently, but cling to it without examination.

In 1 Corinthians, Paul encourages the believers to "be eager to prophesy"... not to receive prophecy! We should indeed be eager to be a blessing to others and to bring the word of the Lord to unbelievers and believers alike.

This is the undefiled truth!

There is nothing like being given a word that's "hard to believe" which is intended for a certain individual, which might seem to be even harder to believe it is intended for, and then seeing it come to full fruition.

Only if it's scripture...too many people look for answers outside of what the Lord's already given to us.
I believe there are daily decisions outside of scripture that has no bearing on life. The Lord is concerned about our hearts and living for him. I don't think where a rose bush is planted is a concern with the Lord.
Man that's so cold! You really don't even suspect that God has given us His Spirit for much do you. (rhetorical at this point)

Anyone and I do mean anyone, who thinks they know all about God because they have a Bible in their home, does not really know God as He is ALIVE and actually not living in a book.

Perhaps it is those who constantly tell others their ears are being tickled, who have their own ears tickled with the human reasoning/teaching that God is now silent apart from what we read about Him. You are not practicing Christianity. You are practicing man's religion and rejecting what Jesus He had to go back to heaven for.

Oh I know full well what having ears tickled means but it does not mean that you reject half the NT so that your ears are made out of plastic. Rejecting truth does not make a person right with God and does not mean you never have to worry about being deceived. You are living in the deception you are trying so hard to avoid. Your spirit is shriveling up inside of you. Screaming even.

Think what you will. smh

People do not grasp the fact that 'prophecy' does not mean everyone starts telling the future. It is a REVEALED word from God. A better understanding of your situation perhaps, a word of encouragement perhaps, the knowledge that God sees and knows. And yes, sometimes it can be predictive but as far as world events go, I would say we have the book of Revelation.

Just yesterday, I was praying about something that has been a real burden to me and not knowing what to do about it anymore. I don't know how God does it and I don't claim to. All I know is that I 'felt' in my spirit to check on something because of what I had just read and what I was looking for was right there as to an answer. And from there to another live message that expounded on the whole thing.

Accident? Well hardly because God hears and He answers. I have so many examples of how God leads and yes, sorry to disappoint some of you, but He also speaks directly into our minds by His Spirit. One time I was given a reference for a certain verse in scripture that I 'heard' in my mind, that I did not know even existed...years back...and it was perfect for what I needed.

Think that was the devil? Think I had itching ears? I just honestly don't know what some of you think the Holy Spirit is for.

As Jesus said, 'O ye of little faith.

And when you think the Spirit has told you something and then it goes against what another brother who said the Spirit told him otherwise, that is confusion. Stand on the word of truth. It will never fail.

The op postulated a ridiculous and unbiblical understanding of prophecy. Maybe notice that he was immediately corrected and refuse all and any correction INCLUDING actual scripture.

Itching ears might have accepted all that was written but people did not and these same people KNOW there is such a thing as prophecy and a word of knowledge...both spiritual gifts. We are not living in the perfect. The perfect has not yet come. That, will occur when God corrects the sin situation on this earth and we have a new earth with Christ as our King.

Why on earth would I hear something from someone else when I am praying about MY OWN personal situations?

You are ridiculous and CHOOSE how you interact with scripture AND God and have a problem hearing.

I am not the one with a confusion problem. I don't invite even my best friend on this earth into my private time seeking God.

You have zero and less understanding regarding these things. We begin, live and will end with faith. We will not have a Bible to guide us in heaven. EVERYTHING about our Creator is SPIRIT. That's in the Bible you keep waving around.

God is Spirit. YOU are operating in the flesh.

I'm done with this for now. Impossible to make any kind of dent in the understanding of those who believe hearing the truth is identified with having itching ears. The Holy Spirit gives understanding. Reject Him and all kinds of confusion will be your friend.

Even a sparrow does not fall to the ground outside of the will of God.

Stop arguing about molehills and start dealing with the mountain of unbelief in your heart.

He is responsible for what the Spirit told him; you are responsible for what He told you. There is no confusion.

Well thanks but I just get kind of riled up (can u tell) because the life we are promised in Christ does not come about by reading and then blessing ourself with a well done good and faithful servant.

Thanks tho :)

Yes, we live by faith. Faith is not blind. Faith comes by hearing the word of God.

It amazes me how people think so little of the word of God. Well, most don’t even believe they have it, soooo….

And who gave you the right to sit in judgment over another Christian? Your rants mean nothing, and your posts are all about you and your opinions.
