Ham prices are usually down at Thanksgiving because so many buying turkeys. No one in my family likes turkey, so we've had ham for years. We started mixing in sushi and egg rolls and wings as well.
real sushi NOPE NOPE NOPE

Interesting Thanksgiving dinner. But I'd attend.

Some are allergic to new ideas though. Just yesterday aunt Lucy walked in and saw Grandma eating chicken and dressing for breakfast. The sounds Lucy made, you'd think I had just hit her toe with a hammer...
You are always welcome. Maybe we'll add meatballs just for you.

yes i did so thanks :)
You oughta try some smoked salmon sushi. Mmmmmm! Heaven wrapped in rice.

One place makes deep fried sushi with bacon in it. Not sure how authentic it is, but it's quite popular.

Sweet potato sushi... That was interesting. Not at all like sweet potato pie, but delicious anyway.

My favorite is still the old standby, cucumber and cream cheese sushi.

Acts 10:9-16

........"11 He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. 12 It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds. 13 Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.” 14 “Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.” 15 The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”.....

I love Pork and I know God still loves me. :)
I'm a carnivore... what can I say.

I didn't see this thread until today... after I ate a big plate of bacon.

It was a huge, huge plate of bacon.
Greasy bacon.
Bacon cooked in bacon, then wrapped in more bacon.
And on the side... a tower of bacon.
And for dipping... the final touch... I had a bowl of bacon for dipping the bacon in an endless stream of bacony bacon.

And then I saw this thread.

Well... I guess it's a little late for me NOW.

Shoulda dipped it in bacon mayo. That's really a product a company made.

Did anyone mention this one….

Acts 11:4-9 KJV
But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order unto them, saying,
[5] I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:
[6] Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
[7] And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat.
[8] But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.
[9] But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

Mum never gave us pork.
Ham rarely
Bacon rarely

1 Corinthians 10:25-33 KJV
Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake:
[26] For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof.
[27] If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.
[28] But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof:
[29] Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man's conscience?
[30] For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?
[31] Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
[32] Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:
[33] Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

Christians have been brainwashed into eating food the Holy Bible says are unclean.

Deuteronomy 14:11 Of all clean birds ye shall eat. 12 But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray, 13 And the glede, and the kite, and the vulture after his kind, 14 And every raven after his kind, 15 And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind, 16 The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan, 17 And the pelican, and the gier eagle, and the cormorant, 18 And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat. 19 And every creeping thing that flieth is unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten.20 But of all clean fowls ye may eat.

Chicken is not a clean fowl.
