this is a true Gem and Pure Solid Gold Nugget.

a Church Father telling us, some 300 YEARS [[AFTER]] all Scripture was WRITTEN, they are STILL "We still do what the apostles did when they laid hands on the Samaritans and called down the Holy Spirit on them in the laying-on of hands" while EXPECTING this, It is expected that converts should speak with new tongues!

i wonder, which Vessel did the Demons enter into to create a Doctrine to Stop this from Continuing?
I think there comes a point where one changes from faith to confidence unbelief and doubt hinder this the bible says it plain and simple what we can do.

The most common phrase used is anything is possible with God there seems to have come a point where this was just words

I don't know

I think God prefers up than down

But of course he can march us up and down, so who knows ☺️
Mainly I was saying his ways work opposite than ours.

A pastor who spoke gibberish 😱

A boy is selling fish on a corner. To get his customers' attention, he is yelling, "Dam fish for sale! Get your dam fish here!" A pastor hears this and asks, "Why are you calling them 'dam fish.'" The boy responds, "Because I caught these fish at the local dam." The pastor buys a couple fish, takes them home to his wife, and asks her to cook the dam fish. The wife responds surprised, "I didn't know it was acceptable for a preacher to speak that way." He explains to her why they are dam fish. Later at the dinner table, he asks his son to pass the dam fish. He responds, "That's the spirit, Dad! Now pass the f***ing potatoes!"

The pastor who spoke complete gibberish 😋

There was a preacher who fell in the ocean and he couldn't swim. When a boat came by, the captain yelled, "Do you need help, sir?" The preacher calmly said "No, God will save me." A little later, another boat came by and a fisherman asked, "Hey, do you need help?" The preacher replied again, "No God will save me." Eventually the preacher drowned & went to heaven. The preacher asked God, "Why didn't you save me?" God replied, "Fool, I sent you two boats!"

That's the message James wa teaching: if what you CALL FAITH produces of it's intrinsic nature NOTHING in terms of "Good Works", then it's "Dead faith" = not FAITH AT ALL. In order to BE BIBLICAL FAITH it has to meet the criteria in Heb 11:1.
Hmm...seems to me that or "faith" without evidence is not faith it is delusion.
There is a difference in having faith in God and His Word and showing that same faith. Having faith is an assurance of things not seen as BC pointed to (Heb 11:1), but showing faith is the fruit or action of that faith as James pointed to. The "having faith" is a requirement for Grace. The latter, as BC pointed out, is the intrinsic outcome of "having faith" and doing God's work, but is not a requirement of Grace, Eph 2: 8-9.

So, my faith needs no evidence, but shows evidence of faith.

Yup. FAITH is the evidence - it holds on to you. YOU have to hold onto, and defend your "Belief (Mental assent).

Right, just like "prophets" don't to be correct, they just have to mean well.
I'm STILL waiting for the "Thee days of darkness, that "The Blessed Virgin", ans "Sister So and So", says will happen in May, and then in June, and probably in July, since June's over.

I have to disagree! Faith is NOT the evidence. Evidence is one of a myriad of outcomes of faith, but not faith itself. Faith (again as shown in Eph 2: 8-9) is a gift from God. God provides the faith needed to believe in Him “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God..."

now, or, you have been, Walking in God, have you ever had the mental battle of thoughts about is God Real? and even though, you take 20 seconds to really think about what the question is asking before tossing the disbelief away.

how did and were you able to toss the disbelief off/away?

didn't your Faith kick in and your belief in God immediately overrule the doubt?

so, in past tense thinking about what happened, didn't you discover, the Evidence was your Faith in God made the decision?

I would disagree James was addressing Jews who were saved and were not using their faith.

So are you telling me that if there was no evidence to support an historical Jesus who was dead and was resurrected you would still believe, put your trust and faith in Him?

Perhaps in the beginning but eventually it just comes to you naturally

If I may here is how I am able to toss the disbelief.

I simply command them away. The dorces of hell give the illusion they have power in reality they are under our feet they don't have a choice in the matter if you speak it they have to submit because you are not just a Christian or a child of God you reign with him you hold his authority and stand in his royal kingdom the mere fact your royalty alone gives you an amount of authority but when one realizes the authroity and power we actually have yeah trust me they are aware that is why they try so hard to keep this fact hidden.

Just wait until he calls his hidden ones this won't be a hidden truth at that point he is about to finish what he started.

Or we might say it this way, there's not enough time to Save the entire world any more, so make good time now because God is watching us these last days and we need to step up, not be a let down in increasing the Kingdom of God.
