My name is Keith I am a born again Christian some of you have read a few of my posts I do not spend a lot of time online trying to debate doctrine. I am looking for some people that are willing to study Gods word.

The main chat forum has not worked so I wanted to try this one; I am not even sure I am supose to be in this room I am not a pastor, a youth leader, or a small group leader. I am someone that is looking to have open honest study of God's word. I do get news letters and magazines from some churches and I take them with a grain of salt and check them out with the bible and with history.

I will not point out one church over another, one pastor over another, one person over another, I will only use maybe 3 people names. My wife's uncle John Ray he is like a mentor he showed me how to study the bible, he gave me the tools a good 1611 Authorized Version of the King James Bible, perfect in it's translation no, a Strong,s Concordance The New Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible published by Thomas Nelson and a Smiths Dictionary. My wife of 48 years Brenda and my Daughter.

My last post was about Genius 1:1&2 and because they have been taught one thing in church they will not have an open bible discussion and that is what I am looking for and I am hoping to find it here.

Does this mean you're a King James onlyist? Do you read other versions?

Strong,s Concordance The New Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible published by Thomas Nelson and a Smiths Dictionary. .
Question what has lead you to place your eternal security in these Books?

How did you come to believe that the producers of strongs are or where inspired and guided by the Holy Spirit to produce infallable concordance's ?

He did not make any of these claims so why are you asking these questions? At least someone gave him the right Bible study tools, and you should have been happy for him. As to his eternal security, that is between him and God. And to respond to RA, it's a good thing he is sticking with the KJV 1611 (as do many of us).

Anyway, Keith B, go ahead and ask your questions. I am not sure if you suggested that Genesis 1 and 2 are DIFFERENT accounts (as some have done). As a matter of fact they are the same creation account, with chapter 2 focused on Adam and Eve.

KeithB never said he had questions. He wants to know if anyone is interested in a Bible study. But I'm sure you'd like him to have lots of questions so you can educate him.

I'm only curious about KJVO because in my experience you can't have a productive study with people who think only one translation is the perfect and true one. If you want to believe that it's your right; but I'm not foolish enough to involve myself in a Bible study with KJV onlyists.

An "open Bible discussion" is what he wants, and how do you have one without questions? And I can certainly educate him if necessary. Also, sticking with just one translation can avoid many useless discussions. There are more Christians who trust the KJV than the corrupt modern versions.

One of the most difficult things that a Christian has to do is to rightly parse the word of God (the Bible). That begins with reading it. In order to understand what he is reading, he must have a translation in his native tongue. He also needs to understand that no understanding will come from reading it unless the reading is bathed in prayer.

Here is my challenge to you.

If all you want to do is argue about the version of the Bible that one has selected, it is time for you to take the time you spend arguing, and spend it studying your selected version. With careful, prayerful study, God will lead you to the message each scripture has for you. God tells us that His word will not return void. If the version that you are reading is only stimulating you to argue about the version, put it down and find a version in your own native tongue. Then begin a careful, prayerful study. I promise you that the Words will not return void.

I am someone that is looking to have open honest study of God's word.
Nothing wrong with that; many of us have had the same. There will always be
critics, but we just ignore them, and proceed with ( hopefully ) encouraging and
edifying study of God's Word Of Truth.

Amen.

I do look at the other versions but I stick to the KJV AV 1611 is it perfect no, I do not like the fact that they have taken the word Passover out and replaced it with Eastar or Easter in places.

KJV uses the word Easter only once, in Acts 12:4.

My eternal security is placed in the fully in the hands of God and the blood of Jesus Christ. These are only helps to me in further understanding Gods word as I do not read or understand Hebrew or Greek the original languages of the Old and New Testament. You should use them as well unless you can pick up a copy of the original Hebrew or Greek and read and understand it.

Ask me a question. Let me ask you one; are you in a church, study group, ect. that teaches the some of the things that I have posted or do they tech that the earth is only approximately 4,000 years from Genises 1:3 to the birth of Jesus 33 years Jesus was on earth and then add 2023 years and you get 6056 The bible, geology etc. all tells us something different.
Here is just one very good reason I stick with the King James. This may run long because of the different translations.
Ezekiel 13:10
New International Version
“’Because they lead my people astray, saying, “Peace,” when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash,

New Living Translation
“This will happen because these evil prophets deceive my people by saying, ‘All is peaceful’ when there is no peace at all! It’s as if the people have built a flimsy wall, and these prophets are trying to reinforce it by covering it with whitewash!

English Standard Version
Precisely because they have misled my people, saying, ‘Peace,’ when there is no peace, and because, when the people build a wall, these prophets smear it with whitewash,

Berean Standard Bible
Because they have led My people astray, saying, ‘Peace,’ when there is no peace, and whitewashing any flimsy wall that is built,

King James Bible
Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:
so far so good
Verse 11
New International Version
therefore tell those who cover it with whitewash that it is going to fall. Rain will come in torrents, and I will send hailstones hurtling down, and violent winds will burst forth.

New Living Translation
Tell these whitewashers that their wall will soon fall down. A heavy rainstorm will undermine it; great hailstones and mighty winds will knock it down.

English Standard Version
say to those who smear it with whitewash that it shall fall! There will be a deluge of rain, and you, O great hailstones, will fall, and a stormy wind break out.

Berean Standard Bible
tell those whitewashing the wall that it will fall. Rain will come in torrents, I will send hailstones plunging down, and a windstorm will burst forth.

King James Bible
Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.
Lets jump down to verse 17
New International Version
“Now, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people who prophesy out of their own imagination. Prophesy against them

New Living Translation
“Now, son of man, speak out against the women who prophesy from their own imaginations.

English Standard Version
“And you, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people, who prophesy out of their own hearts. Prophesy against them

Berean Standard Bible
Now, O son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people who prophesy out of their own imagination. Prophesy against them

King James Bible
Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,
We are ok to this point, but then there is a change.
Verse 18.
New International Version
and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Woe to the women who sew magic charms on all their wrists and make veils of various lengths for their heads in order to ensnare people. Will you ensnare the lives of my people but preserve your own?

New Living Translation
This is what the Sovereign LORD says: What sorrow awaits you women who are ensnaring the souls of my people, young and old alike. You tie magic charms on their wrists and furnish them with magic veils. Do you think you can trap others without bringing destruction on yourselves?

English Standard Version
and say, Thus says the Lord GOD: Woe to the women who sew magic bands upon all wrists, and make veils for the heads of persons of every stature, in the hunt for souls! Will you hunt down souls belonging to my people and keep your own souls alive?

Berean Standard Bible
and tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: Woe to the women who sew magic charms on their wrists and make veils for the heads of people of every height, in order to ensnare their souls. Will you ensnare the souls of My people but preserve your own?

King James Bible
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you.
The King James here gives a much better description of God outstretched saving arms of God being handcuffed and unable to be used to save his people. We will see more changes.

He stated His foundation to understanding the Bible was based on Strongs concorance.. So He is trusting in strongs to guide him into the correct understanding of scripture..

I will continue to depend on the Holy Spirit as the foundation to understanding the Bible..

Yes it is a good think he is sticking to the KJV.. But without the Holy Spirit a person cannot understand the true message of the Holy Bible..

You are right and it sure reads and has a different meaning if you put that back in there.
Let me finish the post was getting to long and did not want it cut off in midsentence because of to many words.
stop and thank of this for just a moment Look at the difference between the KJV and the others
Verse 20.
New International Version
“’Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against your magic charms with which you ensnare people like birds and I will tear them from your arms; I will set free the people that you ensnare like birds.

New Living Translation
“This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against all your magic charms, which you use to ensnare my people like birds. I will tear them from your arms, setting my people free like birds set free from a cage.

English Standard Version
“Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against your magic bands with which you hunt the souls like birds, and I will tear them from your arms, and I will let the souls whom you hunt go free, the souls like birds.

Berean Standard Bible
Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: See, I am against the magic charms with which you ensnare souls like birds, and I will tear them from your arms. So I will free the souls you have ensnared like birds.

King James Bible
Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.
Notice the difference here; from magic charms to pillows and kerchiefs.

So you 100% trust that strongs has accurately translated Ancient Greek in the Bible perfectly in all places...

Is there anything that is 100% other than God. You want to pick at the speck and overlook the log. You do not want to have an open discussion on the subject for whatever reason, you do not want to let me know if you agree or disagree and if you disagree show me from the bible just where I have missed the mark and help me get back on track. The other thing might be you have no idea about what I am saying and you really don't want to try and have a discussion because it goes against everything you have been taught. Take a chance be like the Bereans in Acts search the scriptures to is if it is so.

Lets get back to Ezekiel 13 we are at verse 20 in the King James we do not have magic charm and flying like birds. We have Gods outstretched arm and His open willing hands covered by false fly away teaching so that He cannot reach His people. What does He say here? This is God speaking through the prophet Ezekiel and what does he say? "BEHOLD I AM AGAINST YOUR PILLOWS, WHEREWITH YOU HUNT THE SOLS TO MAKE THEM FLY. Is it not interesting that God know to tell Ezekiel to write in this prophesy that a poor sick young lady named Margaret MacDonald was going to have a dream in the early 1800's about this very teaching and He has let us know that He is against it throughout the bible. Please do not ask me how you got me so far off course so lets get back to the 3 world ages.

Sounds like you have all the right tools. I would add an Inexpensive 5 Vol Mathew Henrys Commentary.

So you resist good advice from another Christian to only rely on the Holy Spirit and the Word of God and never to rely on other men like the men of strongs.. So be it..

You want to pick at the speck and overlook the log.
This is not a speck.. Millions of people have been lead to eternal destruction by deciding to follow men.. They have allowed men to be their guides in scripture and have totally made other men their messiah's.. There is One LORD for Christians and His name is not strongs..
You do not want to have an open discussion on the subject for whatever reason

What question? what topic? I am dealing with your first post and i cannot see a question in it.. all i read is your statement that the foundations of your faith include Strongs... Thats the issue i was dealing with.. Thats the only issue i see if the first post.. Here i post your first post below.. Point out where you asked a question?
