As you know one of the gifts of the holy spirit is faith. And one of the fruits of the holy spirit is faithfullness,
Since faith is something a believer allready possesses what is the gift of faith suggesting.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
The Holy Spirit is given to each of us in a special way. That is for the good of all. 8 To some people the Spirit gives a message of wisdom. To others the same Spirit gives a message of knowledge. 9 To others the same Spirit gives faith.
Would this be increased faith as and when needed, as in something you reçieve each time you pray for more faith.
Or would it be something you reçieve once when you pray for it.
Personaly I would of thought theese gifts are permanent and make you pursue them more from within. 😊
On a last note would pursuing love from within, give you the ability to express theese gifts.
As translations suggests it does.
But since I've been told my knowledge of the Greek and Hebrews translations is inadequate, I thought I would raise the question, centred on faith rather than prophesy or tounges, as that one seems to be a touchy subject.

When the gift of faith is employed it is obvious. When Paul was on his way to Rome, the boat he was on was going to be destroyed. God told him that no one would be lost. He shared that with everyone on board and all were saved. You can read the story in Acts.
