I think we use the word “cult” a bit more broadly than we should. A true cult is where you are controlled physically and mentally. Jonestown is an example, albeit a very extreme one where physical force is used. I believe the Muslim religion, as practiced in some parts of the world is as well, since those that try to leave or deviate from the religion face imprisonment or death. We could classify the governments of China and North Korea as cults as well. And sadly, the US and the woke movement is moving in that direction as well. But I would not call a legalistic church a cult unless they would have in place some mechanism of complete control, like a commune-type setup of isolation and physical entrapment.

But remember that as stated in 2 Cor 5:17 that “If you are in Christ, you are a new Creation. Old things have passed away. All things have become new.” When we relinquish control to the Holy Spirit, that is not a cult, that is being Born Again.

If there's one thing I'm learning from all this it's that many people don't have a clue about how cults operate and manipulate people. No doubt that's why so many are trapped in them.

Christianity is a cult. So is community involvement. So are a lot of organizations.

The problem is not with cults per se....but destructive cults.

Christianity is a constructive cult that can be used to become destructive (and has many times)
A lot of Christian sects are constructive. But you can't lump them all together under the heading "Christian" and proclaim them constructive; many are destructive. You have to look at what a group teaches, how they operate, and how they treat people.

The State Religion under Biden includes (a) sacrifices to Moloch (infanticide) plus (b) the worship of sexual perversion and (c) the promotion of black racism. Not to mention Marxist/Communism + Fascism. So what we have is an amalgam of every kind of evil ideology under one roof. And it is the secular cult of the Leftists.
And let's not forget Christian nationalism, Alex Jones, and other paranoid conspiracy theorists of his ilk.

Everyone wants to look at Jonestown or the Branch Davidians. This keeps people from looking at the cults in their own backyard.

Sometimes becoming a Christian can cause breaks in families, and you find new friends.

God wants us all to believe the same thing, that there be no division among us.

1 Cor 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

2 Pet 1:11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

This one does not apply..

I am very blessed, happy, and joyful to be a Christian. Shouldn't we all be?

This one kind of speaks for itself, no? Jesus Christ certainly loves us, and we are to love one another.

Christians have enemies...

Again, God wants us all to believe the same thing, that there be no division among us.

This one does not apply.

2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
You have to have discernment. If you can't distinguish between mind control and the love of Christ you need some (discernment).

My sister once tried to recruit me into the illuminati how she got in I have no idea but it comes with instructions and she said I could choose or not but to not be surprised if one day she is taken and I can't find her. I asked her what she meant but that but she just stared at me.
She told you she wanted you to join the Illuminati? She didn't give you any specifics?

Specifics aren't needed for the devil the point is to get you into the fold

Really? The first things I'd ask if someone asked me to join the Illuminati is: Who are the Illuminati? What are they about?
