I'll tell you what the moral of the story is with David: If you want a massive Ego follow David.
No, but if you want to join in the rebellion of willful ignorance that leads to the lake of fire, ignore David.

Sure.......go ahead and "ignore David". But you will NEVER be able to ignore David's prophecies.
Nor will anyone else.
Well, like i said, Jesus quotes the Psalms so i tolerate David.

Brother! You too? Wow, i thought i was alone but glad to see another one who's not a big fan of David. Let me give you a hug! :D
The only reason i tolerate David is because Jesus quoted him so i assume he's important in God's plan. So, i always trust Jesus.
Also, when David prays to God to strike his enemies dead and Jesus says to pray for your enemies, guess what i do?
I ignore David and trust Jesus again.
Anyway, good to see another one who's not a fan of David.
Well, that's not really what I meant. I was just showing that God uses imperfect men to fulfill his purpose. For the most part, David is someone to look up to, not down at.

At the same time, when Jesus quoted the Psalms, He said that was the Holy Ghost speaking through David (as did the apostles).

Sounds like this old perception of God

“Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear
the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we shall die.”
Deuteronomy‬ ‭5:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

They thought that but the truth is

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath
everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

seems like your seeing the Old Testament mindset when men were terrified to hear what
God actually said and not hearing the New Testament that’s promising everlasting life

John 5:24-25

Paul doesn't say things contrary to Jesus but David did, so i'm gonna ignore David. And yes, i realize that what i think of him doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but i just don't want his mindset in my life, that's all.
I want nothing to do with David and i have nothing in common with David.
1 Kings 11:4 For when Solomon was old his wives turned away his heart after other gods, and his heart was not wholly true to the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.

Acts 13:22 And when he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king, of whom he testified and said, 'I have found in David the son of Jesse a man after my heart, who will do all my will.'

But will the Greater David tolerate YOU?
At the same time, when Jesus quoted the Psalms, He said that was the Holy Ghost speaking through David (as did the apostles).
Oh, I have no idea. But, all I know is that right here, right now, I want nothing to do with David. You see, David is someone who pushes me away from God, so I just tolerate him because Jesus quoted the Psalms, so I approach this on a hierarchy basis.
God is supreme, so if God says David is important then I deal with the fact that I don’t like David as a person or as an example of whatever he is supposed to represent (to me it’s a massive ego) and I tolerate him for now. Maybe later things will get revealed where my point of view will be changed, but like I said, right here right now, I want as little as possible David stuff in my life.

Speaking of ego, can you do me a favor? My boss doesn’t want to give me a raise. Can you please beat him up for me so I can get this raise? I will pray that this action will be blessed by God.

Thank you.

Your "assessment" of David is absurdly, devastatingly, woefully, horribly WRONG.
And betrays extreme blindness and ignorance.

Tragic really.....

So this means that you're not going to beat up my boss for me? Oh well, if you change your mind and throw away your conscience, let me know.

Does your boss believe the word of God? Should you react like Jesus? Call him a child of the devil?

John 8
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Hm. It's typical that many don't see the egocentric message of David who for some reasons known only to God made it into the story of the Bible, but this is typical in many cultures who embrace violence, revenge, guns and crushing your enemies to death while conveniently ignoring the message that Jesus says about your enemies.

Somebody does indeed have a "massive ego" problem. And it ain't David.

Maybe your superior knowledge of UFOs and conspiracy theories can shed some light into these spiritual matters?

Legit believing mature Christians know exactly the many "reasons" Jesus Lord Messiah included the account of David in the Holy Scriptures.

The pertinent (and urgent) question is: Why have you been (tragically) left out in the dark?

Maybe because you approach things in fear? This is a common thing among Christians. To approach God on a fear or reward basis.
