It's hot and muggy here and the flowerpots are drying out. I'm playing a "cozeytimes" video loop featuring a cabin scene with the sounds of a crackling fire accompanied by wind and a snowstorm. I'll save the rainy tropical scenes for winter.

We had a few nice days here in the Boston area but now it's raining again. Next week looks like it's gonna be sunny again so i'm going to make the most of it.

Too much rain is too much but your actually better off. The eastward shift of the 100th meridian is determined by annual rainfall received. Twenty years ago I could plant gardens anywhere on my property and rarely ever water them with the water hose. After the meridian shift began i had to water more and more each year to keep my garden alive in the summer until now I would have to water every day to keep it alive but the plants are still so stressed from the heat that they don't set fruit (plants are alive but no blooms, they all fall off). It may not seem that important but if you look at the meridian's shift on the map it goes across the United States heartland where most of the US food supply comes from so in a few more years of this the only way to grow crops in the heartland will be to irrigate it, (no h2o= no food) ... https://www.earthmagazine.org/article/dividing-line-past-present-and-future-100th-meridian/ Look at satellite views of the US the west is becoming a desert the east of the meridian is green.

There are a lot of changes. In my lifetime alone, just like you, we both have seen a lot of changes.
I remember when seasons were smooth and timely. Now, seasons are extreme and un-timely and chaotic. Northeast has been hit with a lot of floods and landslides actually.
I prayed for 4 good days this summer so i can spend with my family. I got 4 good days, so any other days are a bonus and i'm grateful to God.
Also, the weather changes every hour here in North East. Within a day, temperatures can fluctuate between 15-20 degrees, so we're used to it.
Next week, they're predicting cloudy and sunny with some thunderstorms so i don't know if we will see the sun next week either, but i will make the best of it with what we get.

Your lucky though I went out this morning and watered a few things and the others I'm just going to let dry up because my water bill is around 200.00 already so it's just no longer profitable(I can buy more than I can grow for 200 dollars)... It's 10:30 am were at 90 degrees so it's too hot to be outside and it's suppose to be 100 today in southeast Texas.

That's crazy. Right now, it's 11:30 AM here and i have all the lights in house turned on because it's dark outside from the thunderstorms. I mean, really really dark.

Let's just say that the current weather situation by me has me thinking on this:

Job 37:1-5

"At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place. Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth. He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth. After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard. God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend."

Excuse me while I go hide under my bed.

Only if i could come to NZ to build it! 😁 Does it snow in Aukland? Or would i have to go to south island?
Part of my global warming rant. I had at the bottom of every email.

Or is it people are just too lazy to put warmer clothing on in the middle of winter. Try this out in the middle of winter walk around Auckland CBD for example Karangahape Road, you will see people outside choking the footpath (sidewalk) space sitting at tables drinking hot drinks with heaters beaming down on them, then go inside you will see the place empty and the place is a lot warmer.

Just before the French revolution for some strange reason back in the 18th century, François-Marie Arouet Voltaire (1694-1778) a French Enlightenment writer, historian and philosopher said;

“If there’s life on other planets, then the earth is the Universe’s insane asylum.”

It looks like Voltaire had some kind of 21st century visionary powers.

We have not had much rain since spring either. But not terribly hot however. Garden is doing well with all the sun and we have plenty of water from our well to water the garden.

What is it with the thunderstorms this year?! I feel like it's been spring all summer. My German Shepard hates storms so I've had to keep her medicated most of the season. That plus 4th of July. She's about having a nervous breakdown.
