This "pastor" rapes and continues to molest a teenage girl.
BUT
Many in the Congregation give him a "pass" on it...which I find to be the most troubling part of this story.

Then the video mentions the 400+ pastors in SBC churches that have been publicly CONVICTED for sex crimes in Churches or while pastoring SBC churches.

Ted Haggard is also making a comeback after his "fall".
Jimmy Swaggart
Jerry Falwell.

These are supposed to be the "normal" churches....the ones not preaching the "Prosperity Gospel".

These "pastors" are EVERYWHERE....in EVERY denomination and church groups.

That's the point.
It is soo difficult to find a decent church These days. They do exist....but difficult to find. Here in GA it took 4 months of visiting different ones to find one we sorta like. The pastors at the others were "meh" at best and somewhat creepy at worst.
The "one" we like so far....we are going to do a "deep dive" of investigating before we throw our lot in with them. So far so good....a couple of minor "things" but nothing to really give us pause yet. But we haven't finished investigating them. And as usual we will evaluate them by the things they say and those they don't say. Especially those they don't.

Needless to say that the requirements for being a pastor/reverend/leader in a church are not extensive....usually just having charisma is sufficient. Which leaves a HUGE GAPING HOLE in the list of necessary skills and lack of vice.

The world is a scary place...not everyone is out to get you but many are and others unwittingly are there to help the evil people. Just ask a lottery winner. Except in the case for churches you are the prey that willingly walks into the wolves den.

IOW....don't be a victim is easier said than done.

I am beginning to think, my Ministry does not qualify to the Other preachers from Warsaw, Indiana.
1. From Preaching False Doctrines [I've already pointed out]
2. to Preachers kicking tenants out for being short on rent in the middle of Winter with no place to go
3. to Preachers owning businesses and hiring people and Laying them off with a Promise for them to draw Unemployment and then go to court and claim they are a MAN OF GOD and these persons are LIARS and THIEVES
4. to Preachers caught having sexual affairs with Church Members
5. to Preachers caught self pleasuring to a porn mag that causes termination
6. to Preachers messing with young girls and whatever else...
I don't believe I qualify for the League of the DEN of THIEVES!

Some churches do search for those with a seminary degree of some sort up to a PhD. ...I know about those. The Methodists have their training programs as well.

But not every independant church has such requirements....many don't. I know that some of the churches we have visited the pastor obviously had no formal training or at least behaved in a fashion that ignored any they had been through. And over the years I've met many pastors that have no formal education but are leading a church anyway.

It is not about formal training only, you made it sound like they did not even need to know scripture, as long as they were charismatic.

It just as well the corrupted "churches" fall apart, it is time for a fresh start by believers gathering in small groups.
This is all that is really needed, not a five piece band at the front with performance artists one of which is the pastor.

Again, I do not really disagree I just think it is more nuanced.
 
WELL, is that PROOF of hearing from God that you post something in Faith, that you have no reason or idea about, and 6 months later it becomes OPEN to the Public?

Oh yeah....Vinyard pastors were notoriously just "guys off the street" now proclaimed associate and senior pastors of churches. One was a classmate of mine that I KNEW did not have a seminary degree....and had a career taking pictures of toppless adult women. After his pastoring days ended he went back to his photography.
Yes. He was a jerk when I went to school with him and never really strayed from the habit after getting married and having two daughters.
 
I think I have proven, to some major degree, that God does lead some to know things that have not yet happened.

and taking that into consideration, how do we know this is not happening to Blain, and what has irritated a few is actually a Fact?

i know i can Discern those involved in that quarrel.

Oh it's not difficult to know popular verses of the scriptures....
A flat out "know nothing" can know the popular verses by heart inside of a week of dedication. We plaster them EVERYWHERE on coffee mugs, notebooks. Wall art and etc. Entire books have been dedicated to particular verses and of course popular stories too. You only need to walk down the aisles of a Christian bookstore to know what's popular.

And usually that's all that's needed to tell people what they want to hear and be popular and accepted as a pastor. Listen to a few popular radio and television preachers sermon delivery styles and "bingo"....you get an entire PhD on sermon delivery techniques....including such popular guys like Ravi Zacharias, David Jeremiah, and Billy Graham.

Yes that is probably true, I am not really up on the American churches and how they are organized and structured.

it is odd, because like me and some others, we called John Lowe a False Prophet to his face. he won't do anything to non members. but why the actual members were like this, i know many of them, i still don't know why because that isn't how many were raised, to be cowardly.
