There is a grave type of urgency just as Noah must of felt in his day.
2 Peter 2:5
English Standard Version
5 if he did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness, with seven others, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly;
Noah a preacher of righteousness prepared the Ark while preaching repentance.
The Ark being that of a boat that him and 7 others would enter and be saved from the judgment of God.
Today we preach the same message of repentance and be saved by entering into the Ark who we call Jesus Christ. Only in Him may anyone see salvation from the judgment of God.
We cry from our fallen state and wish evil would be done away with but yet we fail to look at the evil within us and comfort our ego with saying “I'm not as bad as that guy or that girl”.
We all have sinned against the Almighty, the Creator of all things, the Alpha and Omega. That is a crime of the highest order and the highest law. To rebel against gravity, you will reap pain if not death. To rebel against the laws of the Creator who is above all things including gravity. Then one can only expect the highest of judgment. Eternal death.
The Ark is our Savior and for all those who are in Him, they will be saved. Like Noah who was covered by the walls and protected, we are covered by the blood of Christ so that the judgment we deserve may Passover us.
We preach life while the world preaches death. A battle for the heart and soul is ever present. The spiritual enemy doesn't sleep or take holidays. We must always stay ready and focused on the preaching the gospel.
One day the time will come for the Ark to close it's door and everyone who isn't within will face the judgment of God. Nothing to protect them, no excuses, and by then it will be too late.
God hates evil and will destroy it. God not wanting any to perish gave us the Ark of salvation but He will not force us to enter into that rest. Instead those who rebel will labor in vain worshipping idols, greed, sex, power or anything else that disease or decay will ultimately bring futility.
Luke 17:27
English Standard Version
27 They were eating and drinking and marrying and being given in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
Stay focused on the mission at hand for the words “destroyed them all” should grieve in the most holy of saints. The weeping prophet felt great sorrow for the rebellion and judgment of his people.
Before saving faith, must come genuine repentance. Repentance can only come once one understands they have sinned against the Creator.
