the same would hold true when parents see their child addicted to drugs ... or involved in theft ... or any other activity God tells us is sin.
No parent sees their infant child and says to him or herself "my goal is to train this child to become the best liar on the planet" ...
sin is sin and all sin is broken fellowship with the Father ... but some sin is more detrimental - those sins which God tells us are abomination to Him - idolatry ... homosexuality ... bestiality ... sacrifice to Molech (infanticide / modern day abortion) ... to name a few.
When God warns us about sin and abomination ... He does not do so because He is withholding something good from us. God warns us because THAT IS WHAT IS BEST FOR US IN OUR LIVES!!!
some of the emotional and physical scars we carry in our lives are due to us not paying attention to God's warning ... and we have to live with what we have done. That is one of the reasons why transgender treatment ... strong hormonal / pharmaceutical treatment ... surgeries ... sexual behaviors engaged in ... etc., etc. ... as well as homosexuality ... needs to be exposed as the lie it is. The whole lifestyle is sinful and manmade laws wherein sexual promiscuity is protected behavior and God fearing believers who shout the warning are accused of being "haters" ... these laws do not make sexual perversion acceptable to God.
a great verse to memorize is Romans 6:21:
Romans 6:21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
There is no good fruit in any of the sinful behaviors we engage in ... and while we know from Scripture that once we are born again, all past sin is forgiven by God ... that old lying accuser of the brethren will continuously throw things at us and our memories recall things. We know it's not God bringing stuff to our memory because He tells us As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us - Psalm 103:12. However, the born again one lives with the shame of past actions and behaviors.
Scripture also tells us:
Ezekiel 33:
2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:
3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;
4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.
Believers are to warn others and if the warning is ignored and calamity results on those who ignore, that is their own fault. Those who heed the warning are delivered from the calamity.
But if believers do not warn and calamity results, the believer will answer for not sounding the warning.
