Rev 14:15 And another angel came out of the temple, calling with a loud voice to him who sat upon the cloud, “Put in your sickle, and reap, for the hour to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is fully ripe.” 16 So he who sat upon the cloud swung his sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.

I say this is a resurrection--anyone agree??

How can it be a resurrection when in fact it is a huge slaughtering of the enemies of Christ? A river of blood during a resurrection????

There are two events in Revelation 14: One in Revelation 14:15; and another in Revelation 14:17-19. Two angels, two different events.

Also the reaping takes place at end of the 7th Trump or Trumpet in Revelations before the bowl judgements begin.

Could this be the Last Trump ( Trumpet )mentioned in 1 Corinthians 15

51 Lo! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. 53 For this perishable nature must put on the imperishable, and this mortal nature must put on immortality.

“He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; the field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; the enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; and shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:37-43‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.”

This reaping of the earth in Rev 14:15 falls nicely in place with the prophet's Daniel's Blessed Day ( Dan. 12:12) as the 1335th day of the Tribulation leaving about 3.3 years for the bowl judgements

Hello Omegatime, Revelation 14:15-16 is a passage in the Bible that describes an angel coming out of the temple and calling with a loud voice to him who sat upon the cloud, “Put in your sickle, and reap, for the hour to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is fully ripe.” So he who sat upon the cloud swung his sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped. The passage is interpreted as a reference to the end of time when God will judge all people12. It is not a reference to resurrection3.

Amen the resurrection will happen just immediately before the judgement all the dead will be raised by the power of his word , both good and wicked to in order to be judged according to the everlasting words of the judge

“Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; ( resurrection of the dead )

they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life;

and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:28-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

all the dead are raised but some are damned and others are given everlasting life according to the judgement seat of Jesus Christ who’s word will call the dead to life when he returns

“And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; ( they are raised up to face judgement )

and the books were opened:

and another book was opened, which is the book of life:

and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: ( all the dead are being raised up now ) and they were judged every man according to their works.

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. ( death and he’ll have now been destroyed they were only meant to hold people until judgement )

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭20:11-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is man’s point of no repentance when it’s too late but until then we can repent and believe and be saved from all this terrible stuff we’re warned about again and again so we won’t be held in death or he’ll or the grave or sea but we’ll be alive with the lord by his word forever

And Look where this truth leads

“Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: we are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

( new birth New Testament new sacrifice new preisthood new elect new promised land , new children of Abraham )

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

Unless you believe revelations is in order to the chain of events as mentioned you are wasting your time. Every scripture has a time element to be fulfilled. The White Throne judgement is not till the end of the millenium for the resurrection of the unrighteous.

If you understood why there was a resurrection at Passover, then you would know the next resurrection would be at Pentecost. Yes, the reaping of the earth will be at Pentecost and if you count back 1335 days you would know the antichrist will make a covenant with many on the Feast of Trumpets.

Why do you think the Apostle Peter spoke of the Day of the Lord on Pentecost on Acts 2 which would be Great and Glorious

Actually the resurrection of the Church is at least seven years before the Second Coming if Christ! So let's not try to suggest that all the dead are raised on the same day. There is a period of OVER 1000 YEARS between the two events. You are quoting many Scriptures but failing to interpret them. And Revelation 14 has absolutely nothing to do with any resurrections. There is a proper and logical sequence of events presented in Bible prophecy.

Christ was speaking of a metaphorical "hour" -- a period of time. He was giving us a broad brush presentation, not detailing events. "Hour" is also used metaphorically in Revelation 3:10.

Something to note about Bible prophecy is that prophecies with different objectives and time frames appear as though they are all connected within the same time frame. One needs to discern where they belong. Obviously there is a huge gap between Pentecost 30 AD and the Day of the LORD (probably in the 21st century or even later).

Just how many resurrections do you see?

Hebrew 9:28 so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.

So Walter you are saying the resurrection is at the end of the 1000 year reign of Christ?
What are you asking? The second resurrection takes place at the close of the 1,000-year period. The unsaved will be raised in this resurrection. It is called the resurrection of condemnation.

There are TWO RESURRECTIONS. The "First Resurrection" is for the saved and the "Second Resurrection" is for the damned. They do not occur on the same day or the same hour. What most Christians fail to see is that the First Resurrection is like a Hebrew Harvest, which is in THREE PHASES.

PHASE I: The First Fruits -- this is the resurrection of Christ

PHASE II: The Main Harvest -- this is the resurrection of the Church before the Second Coming of Christ

PHASE III: The Gleanings -- this is the resurrection of the Tribulation martyrs after the Second Coming of Christ

Then there is the resurrection unto damnation after the Millennium. A gap of over 1,000 years.

Just pondering, what happened to these saints? Since Christ is firstfruits (PLURAL) if He took these with Him to heaven?
Could these be the 24 elders we see in Revelations?

Matthew 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
