I've seen so much that is fake that I am not convinced without alternative sources that confirm what is being suggested. For example, Russian maps of the conflict showing how far they've advanced in the last few weeks. They showed "before" and "after". The problem was that the maps were dated - 1 year apart. The advancement was a kilometre or so. Another video shows a "Ukrainian" tank destroyed. Zooming in, you could see the Russian "Z" on the tank. Either it was a staged hit or it was destroyed by Ukrainian forces.

I have followed this war closely. Putin had no right to invade Ukraine and the West should have driven Russia back in 2014. We would not be having this discussion now if the West had shown some spine. Even his pet attack dog, Prighozin, said Russia was not justified invading Ukraine.

Russia’s central bank on Tuesday raised its key interest rate to 12% from 8.5%, the bank said in a statement on its website.

The bank called an extraordinary meeting for Tuesday amid pressure from Moscow to halt a rapid depreciation of the country’s ruble currency.

The ruble slumped near 102 to the dollar on Monday as anxiety around the state of the economy and the impact of Western sanctions weighed heavily on the beleaguered currency.

Should that BRICS gold trade settlement scheme get a head of steam this month, expect the dollah to go into a tailspin.

As I have opined earlier, Saudi Arabia (and other MINA countries) pivoting a Russia/China protection (and economic) racket model will be the "ne plus ultra" inflection event.

It has to get a head of steam, China and Russia are back against the wall, their economies will collapse if they don't see this through. I suspect Saudi Arabia is being coerced by Iraq and Iran. Surely a country like South Africa where gold mines are their biggest industry would want a gold backed security.
