Does anyone else also feel like as a Christian, finding a spouse is a million times harder than those who are non-Christians? I've made peace with the fact that I can't just marry anyone and that God has to give me the go-ahead before I even entertain the idea of being with someone. The closer I get with God, the more things I add to my list of things that a man needs to have (e.g. a healthy prayer life, knowledge of/belief in the spiritual realm, filled with the Holy Spirit, a desire to worship God every day amongst other things) for me to even consider entering into a relationship and I feel like I might be putting myself in a box by having all these checkboxes. Can anyone relate? I definitely don't wanna settle or end up with the wrong person but I'm worried that I'm being too selective. But it just feels like most Christian men my age (27) that I encounter are lacking in these things/the passion for Jesus.
It depends on you that want a spouse, who is leading you? Holy Spirit or flesh.
Only God who established the institution called marriage can direct you to the right person.:p

I have been also struggling with the same issue and i am already 37. But I have seen that following my own path will only lead to heartache, so i am patiently waiting for God to put the right Godly man in my path.
I am a godly man, and I was put directly in the path of a woman about a year ago. Unfortunately, I was crossing the road at the time, and she was driving an SUV at about 45 miles per hour while looking down and changing her radio station.

I never knew that someone could do 33 somersaults in midair before landing with their head stuck in a pumpkin patch. I did get a glimpse of the new Wendy's that was being built two blocks away while airborne, so it is not like the whole incident was a disaster. Besides, I obviously survived my fall without suffering any sort of brain damage, so what is the big deal?

lol.

Yes I agree with you as for finding a spouse. Being a man it is the fact that women in general put the faith in God over their faith in their man. I do not want a weak women I want a women who has a conversation with that up ends my life with their "godly" perceptions and leaving out of my God given love for mankind.

At Gloriavale (named after Hopeful Christians wife, Gloria) the descendants of her sixteen children, if they are girls, get married as soon as they start menstruating. The elders choose a husband for them from their ever expanding christian family commune, teach them how to have sex, and after they consummate the marriage everyone claps. They probably even hold up the bedsheets as proof.

The new wives are then on a team roster of unpaid domestic drudgery duties and baby making while their husbands go off and make lucrative business deals for the community.

There is nothing else much to do in Gloriavale for women. I think if you like sewing, cooking and cleaning toilets and living in a commune with no privacy, could be the place for you. And you like to be totally controlled by someone who thinks hes infallible like the pope.

what you are meant to do is wear something red that will stop traffic. If you wear green it just means men will drive right past you and orange they are undecided.
A Godly man will stop at red.
This is how red light districts work right?

Several women in the Bible used this method.

I hope that you realize that my post was meant as a joke.

In any case, my comedy career is over. I will be limiting myself to pm's for a season.

oH no I take everything absolutely seriously

I think maybe you should just limit yourself to knock knock jokes for now.

Wowww, thats quite a way to meet someone. Hope mine is much simpler, like we meet at an event or something like that😃

I feel the same way. I still believe in soulmates. I get frustrated too. How are you?
I see many couples I see as soulmates many of them being in ministries such as Paul & Jan Crouch who God gave the same idea to 'start a Christian TV network' and they did, TBN. As for a spouse, I happen to know a young man who's wife passed last Dec. After a few months he got on Christian Mingles and got married last month. God still does miracles and Mk 11:23-24 is excellent for believing for a spouse. There are men on here looking for wives, you might not have to look very far, just do some research, lol, God bless.

You could go to Event Cinemas.

Just casually sit next to someone who looks single and ask if they want to share their popcorn with you, and then sneakily put your arm around them. The popcorn is like $20 and comes in a huge tub, and they could not possibly eat it all by themselves.

Just make sure the movie is a Christian movie, like Jesus Revolution or the Miracle Club or something to do with the Amish.

Why does it seem to go so smooth for certain people, while for others it doesn’t??

Because one couple is living for the benefit and wellbeing of the other. The other couple is probably living to please themselves.

but that all changes once they have children

You cant please yourself if you have children - be warned. Children come first.

Jesus is the first and the last.

If you are Gods child you dont need to worry about anything. He will always be there.
My answer was in response to biblical priority. I have no idea what your last post means concerning that.
