I'm reminded of a boy on the church bus who wanted me to intervene in an argument. He was crying because another boy on the bus said he was eight.

"Are you eight?"

"No, I'm nine!"

"Then what does it matter what he says? It doesn't make you eight. You're still nine no matter how many times he says you're eight."

I remind myself of that sometimes. There have been times people have said some things about me. But the people they were talking to knew they were not true. (They were at least polite enough to not laugh in the gossips' faces though.)

Let people say what they want. Truth shows in how the people they are talking about live their lives. That boy was still nine.
If you lived on top of a mountain, then I would be climbing it in order to ask you the meaning of life.

Seriously, what you wrote was loaded with wisdom.

Thank you for sharing it.

Have a blessed night.

I'm married, but I have single Christian friends who are looking for spouses, and I know it's tough. I was thinking about this forum, and I thought I'd just create a thread for people to post a personal ad for other forum members interested in finding a Christian spouse. I don't know all the criteria used online, so other users might add suggestions.

You:
Age.
Theological/denominational background.
Height/weight/build/characteristics (piercing, tattoos, etc.)
Geographical location. Willingness to relocate?
Occupation
Gifts, ministries, etc.
Hobbies
Status: Divorced, widowed, previously engaged, virgin, etc.
Unique interesting fact about you
Do you have children? Want children? How many? When?

What you are looking for in a spouse:
Age.
Theological/denominational background.
Height/weight/build/characteristics (piercing, tattoos, etc.)
Geographical location. Willingness to relocate?
Occupation
Gifts, ministries, etc.
Hobbies
Status: Divorced, widowed, previously engaged, virgin, etc.
Unique interesting fact about you
Do you have children? Want children? How many? When?

What you have to offer, and your own philosophy of marriage. What would you expect marriage to be like?

You are looking for in a spouse (spiritually, personality, life goals, physically, etc.)

If you post pictures, the forum can show up on Google searches, so you can PM someone you find interesting for further details.

If this is successful, maybe it could spawn other threads broken down by criteria, e.g. geographical areas, never-marrieds, virgins, widows, height, etc.
Thanks for doing this before I did, lol, now I'm glad I held off🤣. I'm with you thinking of the singles on here who do desire to meet a spouse and haven't for various situations. Now here's a chance to at least give a hint of interest, and where'd they all go? I don't see the threat of danger here on CC and maybe I have more experience than most but I can read a scammer easily. It could be the idea of admitting one's looking, though it may actually pay off. But not good to force anyone my mama always said but if I was looking, I'd be playing😍 Top marks for your kind intentions.

Y'all are both muddying up this thread, but YOU started it.

I remember back in the day, people respected each others' threads. They went off topic for a bit sometimes, usually in comedic banter, but we always got back around to the topic. If somebody did go around derailing threads just to air a personal gripe, he was seen as being very rude to the forum community in general and to the people who started those threads in particular.

Short version:

Could you two please can it?

Pardon another interruption here, but I must ask

I will continue to post the gospel at this forum for love of the lost
How is telling someone (who is obviously lost) to kill themselves b/c of their sinful wicked lifestyle loving them?
How about seeing them in that state and showing them that even though they are in a sinful state Christ died for them too (see Romans 5:8) Isn't it more loving to share the hope of Jesus with a person who is obviously lost than to tell them to kill themselves because of it?
He didn't shed His precious blood only for a select group of people, but
He shed it for ALL b/c ALL have sinned and fallen short of God's glory (see Romans 3:23).

(p.s. it's just food for thought there. If you REALLY want to reply/discuss then feel free to tag me in another part of the site.)

@presidente you said this to @seekingthemindofChrist
Can you not derail the thread with attacks of other members.
but go back and reread your thread.
The derailment and attacks started right away in post #'s 3&4 by someone else.
And if you read through the thread it is that same person who keeps the majority of derailments and attacks going.

I brought up the example to presedente because it WAS on topic. The guy who now will climb a mountain to hear wisdom from his guru on the meaning of life, recently started a whole dumb thread on a simple post in his personal conversation. He posted the link
No, it was a new member who reported someone else who contacted him...the fox in the henhouse.

Sorry, if others like to give out details that's up to them. I guess Facebook and dating social media have been around for a while, so people are used to that. I'm personally private online for as many reasons as there are scammers, trolls and some who made serious threats.

I have seen a lot of people who were lawyers to other assorted thieves who tried to gather information and use it for gain. However, I can't blame your friend for wanting to find a decent woman.

Carry on.
That's all I said. I didn't even identify the troll. He identified HIMSELF!

All I was doing was pointing out that even on a Christian forum there are those who are seeking personal info as your friend referred to as a "catfish."

He's started attacks before and the Sodom and Gonorrhea loving crowd can jump on the bandwagon with him all you want.
I am the last person who wants to hijack presidentes' thread. Wish I hadn't brought up the fox's stupid catfish. I said my piece and it's over as soon as I deal with the new fake accusation.
Got it?!

Yeah I got it. Now you're trying to claim it's not your fault.

"All I did was make multiple posts filled with snide comments about someone. It's HIS fault for taking my bait."

With all due respect, Lynx. I did not take his bait.

If you go back and read my responses here (I just did), then I initially entered into this conversation to bring clarity (which is what he asked for) to presidente in relation to a slander which H&H had uttered about me. In other words, I came here not to "muddy" anything (as you wrongly suggested earlier), but to hopefully bring clarity instead.

In his initial slander, which is but one of many which followed, he referred to me as a fox who complained about a catfish. When he did that, a lightbulb went on in my mind, or I realized that I had overlooked a previous slanderous attempt by H&H weeks ago on the "Catfish scammer" thread which I had started. Again, for the sake of clarity, this is what I am referring to:

https://christianchat.com/new-chris...rselves/catfish-scammers.212192/#post-5130941

Of course, in his hate-filled mind, I am "the old fox" who "went catfishing". Calling me a "fox" is derogatory. Jesus called Herod a "fox" (Luke 13:32), and that is precisely how H&H has been using this terminology in relation to me.

I could list several other slanders he has made against me here, but you all have two eyes of your own.

With such being the case, I also do not need to "can" anything. He is the one with "the beef", and he is the one who opened that "can" here on a thread which I had not even partaken in at that point in time because he is still harboring that same unwarranted hatred for me in his heart that he had when he made his post on the "Catfish scammer" thread weeks ago.

In my eyes, the scariest thing of all is that he self-identifies as "HealthandHappiness". I could elaborate on that, but I trust that the discerning among us can recognize why that is frightful to me.

My participation in this thread is through. He can continue with his assaults against me all that he wants to. He is only blessing me in the process by speaking falsely against me, but he is piling up his own sins against both God and me in the process, so I hope, for his own sake, that he comes to his senses and repents. Of course, seeing how "the gospel" which he believes in does not require repentance (and I could back that up from his own posts), the likelihood of that ever happening is not too good.

NO.
You are Not going speak your lies publicly on this forum and tell me that I have to go where nobody else can see my response miss gg.

Contrary to your LIE, I did NOT derail it back there on 3. I made a reference to a security concern that your friend brought up about a"catfish" scammer to @presidente . He knows that. I know that and God knows that.
As @presidente can go back and read, I showed discretion and did not even mention your buddy seekingthemindofchrist in #8.
I simply clarified what his concerns were on the catfish post. I was going to leave it alone and apologize for even mentioning it until the "kind words" of the seeking dude started trolling me as he's done time and again before. Now YOU are falling into that too!

Guess what gg? I'm not posting videos to the online LGBTs telling them to kill themselves!!!
You just made that up !
I want to give you the benefit of the doubt and believe that you are just gullible and believe what trolls tell you. You sure have Not taken any consideration.

The videos I've posted to those visitors I've noticed introducing themselves as homosexual or into beastiality has been THE GOSPEL..
Show me where I told them to kill themselves! Do it NOW!
I've shown them the utmost grace as I have anywhere else when I witness to them.
Funny thing is god's girl, I have yet to see YOU or your troll buddy seekingthemindofchrist witness to any of them. Perhaps I missed all those times you've tried to lead them to Christ?

@presidente
You kindly addressed my concern from the beginning when we discussed it. I would have opted to do somehow privately with you if I knew seekingthemindofchrist would start trolling in, what was it(#11?)
Please excuse the forthright speech, but I have three people now continuing that line of supporting the defamation and unfortunately I'm forced to defend my testimony.

Now we get the "I'm the victim" line.

Wait... That sounds familiar. Isn't that one of the hallmarks in that thread shittim posted about narcissists? Hmm...:sneaky:

You are Not going speak your lies publicly on this forum and tell me that I have to go where nobody else can see my response
2)I didn't ask you to go private with a response, I asked you to tag me about it elsewhere (which ANYONE on this site can go to and see for themselves) so as not to keep derailing this thread (which you so clearly want to keep doing)

As for the rest of your rant above, well like I said we can discuss it elsewhere.

You know presidente, maybe I'll do a "Dating Profile Thread (Redux)" and basically say "presidente tried to start this thread, but then it got taken over with a lot of junk." Then I could copy-paste your first post from this thread.
