Well, I am not drawing, though I can .:giggle:. Some people can draw and create pieces like paintings on digital devices, and that must take any artistic skill to a new level... because then you are not wielding a pencil or brush, but a mouse and cursor to apply and blend colours. It is hard just to get a straight line with a cursor LOL. Sometimes I think about doing that (creating my own content)... but I am probably a long way away from being able to. I can't really say I understand the technology behind what I am doing... and I don't even know all of everything I can do in photoshop, so I do a lot with the few tools I do know. My daughter had a computer before I did and also gave me both cell phones I have had. If you push the right buttons in the proper sequence you get an expected result. LOL

It is part of my testimony that I got my first job in a photo lab and started on my 21st birthday, because they did not want to hire me "with no experience," yet photofinishing was the only thing I knew I wanted to do; back then I was not a believer, yet I always credited the Spirit of the Universe. I did have to apply myself to better understand colour, and my (previous) boss used to make fun of me because I did things nobody else did to better see what I was looking at in order to make the print look not just different or better, but hopefully the best it could. I've worked with a number of people who couldn't care less. Just push the work out, ugh, no! But when we were going through our downsizing phase after digital really took hold (we lost about 80% of our photographers and business), that same boss told me I had nothing to worry about in terms of being laid off, because I was, as he said, so capable.

When I was many years later laid off with the covid closures after turning 65 and having received my cancer diagnosis, the woman who had been gunning for my job took over my duties and failed miserably trying to get anywhere near the results I could, because she had no clue about colour and was incapable of learning. It's kind of amazing how awesome God's timing in all this was for me! Because I went through my treatments (chemo + radiation), and had multiple surgeries (more chemo followed the first one), that I had finally all healed up from, when my current boss called me back to work, offering me a significant raise combined with reduced work days per week and hours per day. I did not immediately jump at the chance to come out of my involuntary retirement LOL. But I did let him know later the same day that I needed a reason to walk out my door on a regular basis, and so I said yes. I have always enjoyed my work! I get to look at everybody's pictures and make them look good. What could be better? I figure I have seen tens of millions of pictures over my career... in three different labs over forty seven years. Yes, God has been very good to me.

I hope you do not experience any pain or discomfort with your arm and hand being the way
they are with your typing set-up. That was pretty cool of your nephew to do that for you!
Do you do cutting and pasting or use any speech to text software/apps??
What you are doing is very entertaining to me and beautiful the colors you put together and designs you produce and also the scriptures you choose to share and highlight are very enjoyable to me I wish there was a way to print one and hand it on the wall there’s a couple that would be really good reminders and also the colors are pleasant to the eye and the scriptures desires to make one wise ……..😂

swell uncle arthur has pretty much moved on in at this point , permanently . Remember I showed you pictures I think it was you of my hands and scars from surgery before ? It’s pretty much a constant pain . Long ago I tried to type on my tablet and I could sort of but not for long. And. NOt well at all enough to communicate so I quit for a while .

my Nephew downloaded some sort of application so if I contact the first letter on my tablet and just sort of slide my whole arm slightly to the next letter I can actually typed well enough to at least say what I’m trying to say like I am . The lack of punctuation is because when I use punctuation I usually get thrown off because I’m learning by muscle memory words and am probably trying to go too fast sometimes my wrist and shoulder has no issue . Also I do t really understand how robust auto correct it correct alot of words to
My usual incorrections and I don’t know how to reset it or whatever you do to fix it

lol my issue is I’ve been shown a very basic way to communicate and I do t know what voice software means or is or where to buy it or how to install it literally every thing with tech my nephew does for me when he is around here but he has t been here lately so I have a list haha for him I’ll add voice software he’ll misunderstand it for sure

to me. Somethings are like learning Chinese language and technology is like mandarin
Yes that was me you showed pictures to, and I remember talking to my sister afterwards about what you had told me they did, because she had been a nurse for about 35 years, and she said she'd never heard anything like that before! I'm actually using a speech to text app on my phone right now. I don't usually use my phone, especially for posting, but I do use it to message with my daughter mostly, and I always talk into it because it's so much faster than trying to type out any kind of message. Punctuation is easy also because you just say the word for whatever mark you wanna make and it converts it to an ! Or a ? Or a , or a period .

One issue with many of these apps is the auto correct LOL Sometimes when I'm messaging with my daughter we're in hysterics over what the phone has turned our intended message into. I guess a cell phone comes with these things but they can be downloaded onto laptops and other devices, and a lot of them are free and some of them are even built into certain browsers. I tried to select my usual text colour before speaking into the mic of my phone, but I do have trouble messaging on my phone; I don't know how people do it on a regular basis! What I will do is save it as a draft and then when I set up my computer, I will just navigate to This Page and my Message Will Be here and I Can Edit It Much Easier on my laptop. I don't know why it capitalized all those words LOL

I'm sorry your wounds cause you so much pain but I'm glad you have found some type of work around. I think it might be easier for you still if you could use speech to text. I hope you do ask your nephew about that because he's sure to know something!

I'm on my laptop now. I had just gotten home from work and never feel like setting it up as soon as
I get in; I'd rather relax a bit and play a couple of games of solitaire before getting on with the usual...

A few years ago a young woman in England said the same thing to me a number of times; she loved what I was doing and wished she had some as real items... so I printed a few at work and sent them to her. I rarely have anything printed, so my boss allows me to print for free, and I would not even let her pay the postage, partly because of that no financial gain caveat where I source my ephemera (haha that's what they are called apparently). Back then my designs were not any particular size and I did not design @ 300 ppi (pixels per inch) either, which is optimum for printing. Monitors display at 72 ppi or 96 ppi, so if an image is designed @ 72 ppi, even if you have made it sized to 8x12, for instance, for printing, after converting it to 300 ppi or close, it is much smaller. It was after that I decided to design everything @ 300 ppi, 8x12 inches. So for every design I do, I have the working copy which is in layers, and then I have to flatten it, and I save one full size (with sharpening), and then open the flattened panel and resize and resave it for posting here, so I have two flattened copies (one full size in case it ever gets printed on photo paper).

When I first started playing with images to post, I would find something I liked, like a flower, and then colour correct it (if it needed it), maybe size it, and add a border and simple text to it. I was on another site where I designed web pages, too, but I started with a basic template and then altered the border colours and added my own backgrounds and content. Nothing anywhere near as involved as what I do now, but good practice leading up to it. I had learned very remedial photoshop skills at work, like touching up an image digitally (I used to hand spot before digital came in), sizing, flattening layers and other things to prep files for printing, but it was not normally my job to do those things.

My then laptop twice crashed onto the floor at work from my desk, and I thought I had to re-find, download and re-install all my special fonts. My internet was way wonky for a while after that as well, and I bought a new laptop. It was while I was looking for fonts that I started seeing things that made me think, oh, if I was designing my own images, I could use that in it. So I started collecting things and my first designs were very plain (no backgrounds even, just plain white LOL) because I had so little to work with and had never really done anything like that on that level before. I was also using a free online program called pixlr that was very much like photoshop, but they went offline the same year I started doing this. I took an almost three month hiatus right around the same time, and when I came back, pixlr no longer existed as it had been, and was useless to me. That was when my daughter got photoshop for me. And I found out I did not need to look for and download the fonts again after all, even though I had! Haha. I just needed to re-install them.

I am working on a laptop she gave me also, because the other one eventually basically died (fan issues). She had originally given it to her dad, but he never got around to setting it up for himself before he passed away two years ago. Six months after I started using it the hard drive went kaput, and I lost about five months worth of finished work because some of my new files were only on the laptop's hard drive and not backed up on my external portable hard drive. Thankfully all the new things I had been looking for and saving to make my designs with were on the portable HD. It's a little complicated just trying to keep all that sorted so I can find things easily. Much of my older ephemera is too small to use in my newer design size.

Anywho, if you would like a few prints of my designs I can certainly do that for you. I have been trying to get caught up getting my designs onto my Scripture Art thread, and am up to the third week of March now >:D

Wow in my opinion it’s just an art form not I like drawing or painting just an entirely different medium . I really enjoy your panels even before I understood the process and work they require

i think you have a talent , the color schemes really are appealing to the eye always enjoy the scriptures of course but also those varying styles some of the figures look like sort of surrealism , others look like realism , some have a sort of Picasso figuring style I find that really nice they can be relatively the same scheme color wise but when you add a different style to the subject matter of each panel word it changes the whole feel and mood really is enjoyable to me that you share them for the glory of e lord and with his word a Greek thing to see

sure it was done decades ago the doctor basically told me it was experimental but the choice was lose my thumb or let them see in into my pectoral muscle lol he called it a “ Chinese flap “ procedure back then . You probably could notice the terrible scarring it left on my thumb and entire forearm it looks like it was done with a meat cleaver sort of

later on after they cut it loose he took an artery out of my leg and put it in my hand so blood could still flow to my thumb so it wouldnt die . Also nerves out of my middle finger were re routed to my thumb in order that I can feel pain in my thumb in case of burns or what not . That part really backfired and just became constant pain on my palm where they had re routed the nerves through

that led to a series of surgeries trying to correct the original procedure and the constant pain sonthey took a section of my forearm and rebuilt my right palm I’m sure no one does that these days that I’ve ever heard of either. I think it was like trial and error because of the damage originally to my hand . And the time it happened .

so etimes I wonder if I should have just opted for him to remove it completely and dealt with losing my thumb rather than ending up like they are now with the scar tissues and arthritis from the surgeries and nerve damage also . If I hurt my middle finger I feel it in my thumb which always aches anyhow but if I hurt my thumb I also feel it in my thumb my middle finger has no sensation now my rebuild palm aches and my rebuilt thumb From the Chinese flap lol constantly lay hiers and aches

as d given the effects of the scar tissues from the multiple surgeries and arthritis on top of that I often think I would have made a better choice to let it go but I wanted my thumb still it was important because o thought they could do it and repair me but they actually were kind of iffy from the start he gave me the choice and I opted for it all

i kind of regret it now but I eas also able to use my right hand for a king time after psi and all and it would have been hard without a nub to use like a thumb so idk maybe it just is what it is

Yes it sounds like my answer I need to look into that voice texting deal I think maybe that’s a good solution and would save me some issues with my write wrist beginning to pop up sometimes from this sliding method I use as of now .

aid I could figure out my agouti correct would I think also work. But it’s like asking game to fly to Jupiter and then breath and fly back

That's all so very interesting and also somewhat tragic that you have to suffer so much but it is what it is as you say, and making the choice to try to save your thumb seemed like the best option at the time, I can certainly understand that. A speech to text app would hopefully certainly help you forego some of the pain you experience trying to compose your messages with your current method, and it is amazing you can do as much as you can given the circumstances and the pain you deal with on a constant basis.

I took grade nine typing in grade 11 or 12, but never did better than about 60 words a minute and never really used a keyboard after that until I got my first computer in 2000, and definitely was nowhere near that fast after all that time, plus I type now only using my index fingers. It sounds like maybe you are using a program like WORD; I had that when I first got a computer and set it up so that words I typed out repeatedly would auto-fill after the first few letters I put in. Very convenient and time saving.

Are you able to have more than one window or tab open at the same time on your tablet?

I asked my sister that question recently and she had no idea what I was talking about .:giggle:

Faith is indeed foundational for a right relationship with God, but faith is distinct from knowledge. There is no biblical support for the idea that God "had faith" that His words would be effectual. On the contrary, for Him to "have faith" would be for Him to be subject to a higher power with the ability to enforce His words.

Jesus, while in the flesh, exercised faith. We, who continue to walk in fleshly tents, continue to exercise faith.

Faith, in and of itself, is nothing; the power of faith is in the object of that faith. That's why people who follow other religious systems are lost; the object of their faith is empty promises, delusions, or outright lies.

Faith is the certainty of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1, paraphrased). We don't merely "hope" that God will raise us from the dead; we know because we trust the veracity of His word that tells us so.

Christ while being God (and who never stopped being God), nevertheless had taken upon Himself the form of a servant, and in that form, was and is faithful to that which the Father had appointed Him to achieve:

[Heb 3:1-2 KJV]
1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses [was faithful] in all his house.

Faith, being a noun, has substance and provides evidence:

[Heb 11:1 KJV] 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Faith as a noun, in and of itself is something, and for those to whom it is given, it has a presence within them. That noun originated with/from Christ, and upon becoming born again is reckoned through the fruit of the Spirit to all those whom the Father had so chosen for it. Christ's faith being reckoned to us, brings forth a verb, which verb, is belief, and it becomes manifested as a trust in Jesus Christ, as Saviour in all ways, and in His gospel.

[Gal 5:22 KJV] 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

By/from Christ's faith is our faith. Notice below the noun "faith", but also the verb "believed" - both having originated because of/from Christ. Christ also informs us that He alone is faith's the author and finisher.

[Gal 2:16 KJV] 16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

[Heb 12:2 KJV] 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Notice that Christ, even though in heaven sill refers to faith as "my faith". And that one of His names actually is Faithful and True

[Rev 2:13 KJV] 13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, [even] where Satan's seat [is]: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas [was] my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

[Rev 19:11 KJV] 11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him [was] called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

Christ's faithfulness to the Father brought forth righteousness, and His righteousness, salvation:

[Rom 3:22 KJV] 22 Even the righteousness of God [which is] by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

[Rom 5:21 KJV] 21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Through the faith that is within Christ, and which is reckoned to us, is wisdom given regarding salvation. Notice the "make thee wise":

[2Ti 3:15 KJV] 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

How perfect that the Author of our Salvation and Faith, was Himself saved from death by His faith in His Father's promise/commandment that He would live and be raised from the dead for His obedience in offering His Life to save us.

He believed the Word and trusted His Father's promise of life to Him for giving His life as the Law required of Him. That is what Psalm 119 is all about. It is the Son's prayer for life, because of His obedience, according to His Father's promise. He trusted and also asked His Father to raise Him.

We are saved through faith in Him, the Author of our faith.

Thank you for your quote of Hebrews 12:2 and what it says.

The first Adam fell because of disobedience and faithlessness. He did not believe what he was commanded.

The Son was saved and saved us because of His obedience and His Faith in His Father's commandment and promise to Him. He believed.

We are saved through Faith by believing in Him as the Father and Word tells us to.

Thank you, evyaniy. I feel I must clarify however that I believe we are saved by Christ's faith because only His faith has/had righteousness. From His faith is our faith and our righteousness reckoned. Quite possibly, that was your point and I just misunderstood it.

That is one of the beauties of Psalm 119. It is His prayer of faith that if He keeps the law in giving His Life to save us, that His Father will keep His promise and raise Him to life again. He asks for Life(HaYAH, H2421) 16 times in the Psalm because of His obedience to the Law and commandments and statutes and precepts and testimonies and judgments and trusts His Father to keep His word to Him by raising Him.

Yes, that point was understood. We are saved by Him no matter how we look at it. It was His faith that brought our Salvation. It is also our example that we believe in Him and the Gospel and we are saved by grace through faith in Him. He proved the promises are trustworthy and will raise us to life too by believing in Him.

it is not imputed faith for us just like it was not imputed faith for Him. But His righteousness is imputed to us for our faith in Him.

I think I would have to say it in the reverse - that we can only believe in Him and the gospel if we have first been given His faith.

[Rom 4:9 KJV] 9 [Cometh] this blessedness then upon the circumcision [only], or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

In either case, our part is to believe and have faith in Him and to make our election sure. The Theology about this has gone round and round. What matters is believing in Him and exercising His Faith through which He conquered death.

To me, we have no part in it - it is all a gift of God from beginning to end - we are but the recipients.

Who raised the Son from the dead. Did He raise Himself or did His Father raise Him because of His obedience and Faith?

(John_2:19, John_2:21 cp John_10:17-18)
3) The Holy Spirit Raised Jesus Christ From The Dead!

Well it is certainly a gift. Our faith is how we accept and receive it. Just as He asked His Father to save Him according to the promise, we are to ask Him to save us. We do that by faith.

We are given faith as a fruit of the Spirit when born again. One only becomes born again in conjunction with
being saved. So, to have faith, salvation must first occur, and with it, being born again, and with that, comes Christ's faith. Until that occurs, we remain dead in sin, and therefore, dead to true faith; that is, we must first be made alive, which is salvation, to have faith which comes from it. Faith doesn't bring salvation, instead, salvation brings faith.

[Eph 2:1 KJV] 1 And you [hath he quickened], who were dead in trespasses and sins;

The translation of John 10:18 has already been shown to be incorrect. It should have been translated to "receive" and not "take." He received His Life again. The translation in John 2 is also misleading but that can be deferred to a Greek geek, but none of them chimed in on John 10:18 so they are laying low or have no interest.

No matter what, The Son's part in being raised was His obedience and faith in the promise/commandment of Life His Father gave Him in the law, which nearly no one even wants to acknowlege after months of explaining it. The Son's part in being raised was the being raised part because of His obedience and faith.

Everyone is free to disagree but they have run out of verses to prove their case against many verses that say the Father/EL/God raised Him. The Psalms tell us explicitly that He was raised by His Father in His very Own prayers. But that could be a premise too far.
