There is a small house, in a small town.
The lights are off, no one is found.

The door is shut, some windows too.
There's missing paint, and rusty screws.

There's broken boards, and there's a leak.
Some other boards seem to squeak.

The dust is settled, like it wants to rest.
All the spiders, made one big nest.

Someone new, has come to stay.
To clean this house, wash all away.

He drops his bags, he moves right in.
He looks around, then he begins.

Starts with the webs, hops onto dust.
He loves to clean, and it is a must.

Use new boards, replaced the screw.
Out with the old, in with the new.

He grabs the paint, begins to brush.
No spots or blemish, a whitened blush.

He fixed the gate, he mowed the grass.
Replaced the windows, swept up the glass.

It once was dark, but he gave it light.
Some fancy bulbs, they shine so bright.

This small house was broken, maybe even less. Then he came to clean up it's mess.

The webs the dust the windows the door too. He loves this house, no matter what its been through.

That little small house represents our heart. "He" represents the lord. The webs, the door, all these things wrong with the house represents sin.

Is your house clean? Maybe he cleaned it once before but now over time your small house has gotten dirty again. Are you letting the spiders make webs? Is the door falling off? Is he still living in your house? Maybe you have never let him into your house.

Is your heart ready? If you were standing before the lord.....would you be ready? Is your trust and faith put in Jesus? We are to check ourselves, I know I have to examine myself. Do you?

Jesus is coming. Weather we see him come or we pass away, we will stand before him. I pray you are ready. Please trust him, obey him, have faith in him.

Let's pray
Dear heavenly father, thank you lord for this opportunity to remind each of us that we should check ourselves. Lord I pray that each and every one of us has faith in jesus christ our lord and Savior, Father. I pray that when our hearts are searched, that Christ is found. That he is sitting on our hearts throne. I pray that even through our trials and temptations, that we stay faithful, keeping our focus on you and rejoicing always. Staying faithful to your word lord, being in your word and in prayer. I pray we spread your word and others will except Jesus into their hearts lord so they can be saved. Lord this world is falling in sin, lord I pray for them. I pray they repent and come to the cross. I love you lord, thank you for all that have done for us lord. I pray all these things in Jesus's name
Amen.

I hope you enjoyed this small poem. Please keep your house clean.....you never know when a guest might stop over 😊

God bless❤️

Awesome.
This poem reminds me of Pilgrim's Progress where Pilgrim enters the House of the Interpreter and is shown a dusty room & how it is cleansed of dust.
Surely, it must have been the same Spirit that inspired you!

My dad wants me to read the book, I haven't yet. I've heard from a lot of people that it's a good book.
