The Bible reveals Jesus the way that I believe. It says that Jesus is the Unique One and Only Son of God. Lord. Master. Savior. Prophet. Priest. King.
But in Isaiah 9 it says this Son will be called El Gabbor, or the Mighty God. Sorry man, but the truth is that if you don't know that Jesus is God then you have not been born again, and therefore can not be a Christian. I'm not saying this as a judgement against you, I was the exact same at a point, but I testify 100% that you can not be saved and not KNOW this. It's a result of being spiritually reconciled to God, you KNOW Jesus, God, and His Spirit are one.

Jeepers, Jacob, it's all there in John 1:1 + John 1:14. God was the Word, the Word was God, what really is your problem thinking there is a difference between which way it is said??? Either way it is clear your blindness prevents you from seeing that THE WORD WAS GOD.

John 1:1 + 14a
:). THE WORD WAS GOD, and became flesh to dwell among us in the form of Jesus.
I am just pointing you to the word order of the Greek. I don't know if you think that I am arguing you. I am not. But it sounds like you think that I am.

He is a very educated person. It seems he depends on his intelligence to presume he is smarter than most. Human wisdom will never get one to God.

Hi.

Jesus is the Son of God. Somehow He was with God in heaven. He came to earth and dwelt among us. Then He returned to God and is at His right hand. I believe that God is El Gabbor, sure. And Jesus points us to God. Maybe Jesus is Mighty God. I haven't made that jump, but it may be true.

The best to you.

I am not smarter than anyone. Smartness or intelligence is also not a measure of superiority, whether I or you know more than the other. If a person has knowledge, they should share it with others. If it fails, they should discard it. Unless it is the word of God.

You are disputing what the verse means when it makes absolutely NO DIFFERENCE whether
you say the Word was God or God was the Word. The meaning is clear but you reject it.
The word was God, took on flesh, and dwelt among us as Jesus.
You are not the first to reject Him.

Yes, it is. That is a (perhaps THE) fundamental basic truth of Christianity. That is what separates it sets it apart from all other religions.

John 10:30
“I and my Father are one.”

1 John 5:7
“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

I have not rejected either God or His Son.

I believe that there is a difference in those words. You need to harmonize all of scripture. Otherwise, you may be correct.

When Jesus said, the Father is greater than I, do you believe that too?

Peace! 😎

Who is Jesus to you then, if you say that you know He is a man?
I am asking this out of interest.
There was a time when I was convinced that Jesus was merely a man, and it caused me to reject Christianity because it made no sense to me to base a religion on a man and his teachings however noble they sounded. 🤔

You reject that Jesus is God and make a huge to-do about nothing. When Jesus was discussing with the scribes
and Pharisees about Who He was, he told them they would die in their sins if they did not believe that He was He.

Jesus is a man, yes. You understood that incorrectly though. For Jesus is also the Son of God.

So, does that make Him worthy of worship to you, or does this cause you awe or do you simply see this as a piece of information that helps you to categorize Him?

Depending on how we understand Jesus, on how we see Him and what reaction that causes within us, this does something to us.
The we see and react to Jesus defines us as human beings.

I know that Jesus is a man and the Bible says that God is not a man.

I hope this helps you.

Peace.
This is what the Bible tells us about Jesus:

Philippians 2:
6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
