Well, it all depend on which false "church" one would like to attend. So what flavor of churchianity do you attend?

God's Word teaches that in the end times many false teachers will arise and deceive many and... they all teach in the "churches" since they have to have somewhere to hawk their false doctrines.

Once can have fellowship with other Christians and do just fine... even go to Heaven when they croak... and not belong to any of these "churches" that teach false doctrine and continually try to con people in to giving their money so they can build bigger buildings and pay large salaries to "ministers" who just trying to impress people with how much of a big short they are.

1 Timothy 4:1,2
Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron

("depart from the faith" is not referring to sinners in the world who never came to faith in the first place)

1 Timothy 6:3-5 (see Luke 11:23 and 2 Peter 3:2)
If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness (holiness); (Doctrine of Christ, aka Doctrine of the Apostles)
He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof comes envy, strife, railings, evil thoughts… Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

2 Timothy 4:3,4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine (teaching); but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

2 Peter 2:1-3
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying (contradicting, Not agreeing with) the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
And through covetousness (idolatry) shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not.

Jude 1:4

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness (no self control, living after the flesh), and denying (contradicting, opposing Jesus’ teachings) the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. (referring to false teachers and false brethren - see Matthew 13:24-30)
(Deny = Strong's G0720… to contradict, disavow, reject, deny, refuse - and Strong's G4483… the idea of pouring forth, to utter, speak of or say, command)

Jude 1:17-21
Remember the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
These are those who
separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
But you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
("those who separate themselves" is not referring to sinners in the world who were never joined unto the Lord in the first place)

Acts 20:27-30
For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
There is a problem with many people who claim Christianity that they do not want to abide by the truth of it, and are catering to their lusts.

What you are saying is right but these 2 scriptures is talking about what deceives the world that interprets the Bible according to evolution, and the occult.

1 Timothy 4:1,2
Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron

("depart from the faith" is not referring to sinners in the world who never came to faith in the first place)

This scripture is talking about the new age movement that interprets the Bible according to the occult and evolution, and people are still evolving to be spiritual, and a god, and Jesus evolved to be an ascended master, and there is no God, and the New Age Christ is the final teacher and above Jesus which they say he is of the occult.

They will come out at the latter times which is the end days of the end days.

Their beliefs are of seducing spirits and doctrines of devils for they follow Lucifer believing he is a god, and an alien, and gave mankind intelligence, and will help the world to have peace, and advance, and evolve to be spiritual, and a god, along with the New Age Christ.

They do not look at Lucifer as a fallen angel for they do not believe in a God, but when the Bible says Lucifer fell they say he did not fall into sin and disgrace, but descended from Venus to Earth to give the principle of mind to the then animal-man.

Their conscious is seared with a hot iron for everything they do they will feel justified, not evil, and have no shame for they believe they are doing the will of nature the God of forces, as they try to reduce the population, and everyone that opposes them they look at as a disease they must get rid of for peace and harmony on Earth like the body fights diseases to get rid of them so the body functions normally.

Which the Bible says the last king, New Age Christ, antichrist, by peace shall destroy many as he pushes the agenda of the new age movement, and tries to change the current belief system of the world of a personal God, and heaven, to the new age movement belief system that exalts people, and there is no God, which he will think to change times and laws.

Some people will depart from the faith, and believe the new age movement interpretation of the Bible.

2 Timothy 4:3,4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine (teaching); but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

The time will come that people will not want to hear the truth of the Bible, but want to hear it according to their own lusts, the new age movement to evolve to be spiritual, and a god, with the attitude I am, and there is no one else beside me for it is all about people with no higher power above them.

The new age movement is the deception that will cause the world to rebel against God.

It is time for God to end sin on Earth so He is allowing the new age movement to lead the world to rebel against Him with all nations governments supporting the New Age Christ, and stopping the preaching of the Gospel, and the belief in a personal God, on a world wide scale.

The new age movement is the beginning of the end.

What church is teaching new age movement garbage?

Lord's Prayer!
First word is "Our" as in one person speaking collectively for the group.

The word "Amen"....a statement of agreement said by people that you agree with the person voicing the prayer.

And that can't happen if you don't have corporate prayers.

Pray by yourself and God is not there. Because when 2 or 3 are gathered then God shows up. Just saying the scriptures.
Does your congregation limit its gatherings to just three?

Looks like this year we're not seeing a lot of Halloween and Christmas threads but more Church threads.
@Lynx what's your opinion on this phenomenon?
My friend, how do you see it?

I honestly don't understand what the commotion is all about. :)
It's sort of like a topic to argue about something which is never-ending.

When you read this topic which is similar to the Salvation topic in terms of never-ending arguments, there are valid points made by everyone so i think it's ultimately up to the person and what works for them in their relationship with God. I don't think there are any wrong answers basically so i don't understand what the argument is all about.

I don't want to repeat all the things that have been said in this topic, all valid point, you yourself even mentioned the word "Ekklesia" but:

The Church is ultimately the body of Christ, we are His Bride.
We go to a church, or we gather in His name to follow the way He told us to follow on His last supper and to meet Him in mind and spirit.
That's how i see it.

Actually their teachings mostly come from Melancthon
Philip was Martin's right hand. Luther was a prolific writer, but Philip did write much of what we would call doctrinal statements.

I love being in church with God's people.

Better is one day in your courts
than a thousand elsewhere;
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of the wicked
(Psalm 84:10)

Many of our brothers and sisters in places like China, North Korea and Iran would love to have the freedom to worship together that we have. I would encourage you to use your freedom and go along to the local church as often as you can. God Bless You :)

Say whatever you want to mock God and scripture. You know, because your self righteousness exceeds everyone on the planet...which sounds very much like the average "Karen" who can't stand to be told they are wrong.

Just know that I don't think God is pleased....YMMV.

Whomever teaches to not follow God's commandments will be called the least in Heaven. (If they make it at all)

The feeling you're feel is when you try to make scripture say something it does not. But, instead or repenting...

Any way,

Another question: When you come together, how long does it take for everyone to share their psalm, teaching, revelation, or prophesy in your meetings?

"How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification. 27 If anyone speaks in a tongue, let there be two or at the most three, each in turn, and let one interpret. 28 But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in church, and let him speak to himself and to God. 29 Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge. 30 But if anything is revealed to another who sits by, let the first keep silent. 31 For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged."

I mean, you certainly don't pre-plan what is to be said, right? Like an agenda for a meeting or something... That would be weird.

Yeah. It should be no surprise, for those who know the Lord, that He is more concerned about the manner in which we relate to one another rather than the frequency of our meetings. What I read is a lifestyle of relating to one another in the Spirit.

There are no churches in my area that teach the Doctrine of Christ. I've either visted them, emailed the pastor back and forth, or been able to read things on the website concerning their beliefs and the churches in my area are not teaching God's Word.
It must be highly discouraging to be the only person in the city/town/province that knows and believes the whole truth.... your burden is heavy.
:rolleyes:

Taking scripture out of context and abusing it does not bode well for the idea of unchurching

"Unchurching"? What is that exactly? Seeing as "church" is "ekklesia" in the Greek which literally means "the called out" ... Is that when Christ un-calls you out? How does that happen?
