not interested in anything you have to say after your crude and rude posts to another poster the other day in another thread. here you are preaching works and have the vulgarness to say those things to someone else you don't even know. You are the one who should be banned for saying those things.
Just FYI (readers) this refers to how I said someone who is rejecting truth, putting up no substantive reasoning for it--with regard to being "under Law"--was threatening others' faith and should be banned. I stand by those statements!

She had faith but by stepping out and seeking and believing that she would be healed goes had in hand. Jesus knew her heart and motive

Your Statement here is a bit wrong -------

She had faith but by stepping out---------

I say ----She stepped out because her inward Faith Moved her to step out ------Faith proceeded her action ----she is showing her faith by stepping out -------

Peter stepped out of the boat and on to the water because he was moved to by his inner Faith that gave him the assurance and confidence that he would be OK when he stepped out of the boat ------his faith did failed after a few steps because the wind brought in doubt and fear and this is wavering faith ----which Jesus warns about ------your faith to stand up in the storm has to be grounded and rooted in Christ so your Faith stays strong and you don't waver in your faith -----

Faith requires the positive response --- action ---

Faith grounded and rooted in Christ ---won't fail

Wavering Faith that is not Grounded and rooted in Christ ----during the storm will fail

Strong's Concordance
pistis: faith, faithfulness

"Faith is the divine response, wrought in man, by God"

"Faith always pre-supposes revelation" . "Faith is always a response to a divine revelation" "Faith . . . both in its initiation and every step of the way, is Spirit given . . . faith is God given" . "Faith precedes works, and is not something merely deduced by

with faith, there is no strain or tension; rather, it has the element of assurance and confidence in it . . .

if there is strain or tension . . . trying to persuade yourself to keep from doubting, you can be quite sure that it is not faith . . . faith is not the law of mathematical probability, . . . faith is not natural . . .faith is spiritual, the gift of God

Simply believing "mental assent" in the word of God is not enough to save. The demons do not believe in Jesus unto salvation (Acts 16:31) and saving belief in Jesus is from the heart. (Romans 10:9,10)
Lol "If the demons had real faith, they would be saved!"

Nope, Jesus came to save humans, not demons, who are destined for torment--the only reason James raises the issue of demons is they're a perfect way for him to dispel "faith alone", because demons have "faith alone", but will never do good work in connection to it. It's very simple and straightforward!

Nothing for me to be careful about here and the answer is NO because this is not authentic faith but an empty profession of faith/dead faith. SAY he hath faith is the key word in verse 14.
James compares the persuasive power of a mere statement of faith to the persuasive power of a lifestyle of faith. He gives many examples of how we are to complete our faith by our works.

Couldn't tell by the actions of those in Matthew 7:21-23.
You really think Jesus didn't know they were bearing bad fruit? Really?

John in 1 John 2:19 says he didn't know until they left.
Jesus has something different to say you should take a gander at...

Matthew 7:16-20
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

We should pay attention to what Jesus says...

Thanks, I was unaware of the archaic form. You have corrected and improved me with this information.

If only you all cared so much for information and would accept the Scriptures when told them.

Did you not call him detestable? Why not quote it here if you stand by it? quote both posts you made to him that were out of line and insulting if you stand by it.

After all, please show your good works and good words so we can see your faith to tell if you are genuine or not.

ABSOLUTELY he was and is detestable! He has no defense for his love of ignorance, and will not conform to truth, and doesn't care he is threatening readers with his ignorance! It's not an issue like the one in this thread, where people have Scriptures they can use to justify their ignorance, the guy has NOTHING to hide behind, yet goes on in detestable lies intentionally spreading them. And I'd LOVE for him to be banned!

Nah, not going to derail my thread here--you really are disorderly in every way, though. Quite "vulgar" to be honest! Lol

It would be a great work to ban him--but again quit being off topic

John in 1 John 2:19 says he didn't know until they left.
Lol this only makes sense if you assume your position is true first--but others know faith can be lost. He never says "You can't know a tree by its fruit". He doesn't contradict Jesus.

Actually, in John's Gospel, Judas was a thief--but the nature of stealing is it isn't always noticed. Had anyone known, they'd have been able to tell by his fruit he was not of God.

As far as "they were never of us": Ezekiel says God "forgets" righteousness when someone turns to sin, so this renders the one who left as though they had never known God, as it says, "Blotted out". Something "blotted out" only shows black ink, there's no remnant reminder of its presence. God forgets their faith that was counted as righteousness.
