Can be ANY situation, sure, could be how you asked a girl out to prom, or, a big dance or ??. Or, maybe it was just plain jumping out of a Cessna 10,000 feet high off the ground, or, just maybe it was your going on a mission trip to Timbukto (the real one in Africa where natives think of you as meat, real meat : ( !) or well, OK, guess, I will stop my green brain from thinking too much more right now on this 'featful' stuff as, trust me, it hurts you more than it hurts me . :D

And, HEY!, didn't you just FEAR doing that thing, THAT FEAT....and, but then AFTER you did it, having PRAYED to God beforehand doing IT, as I'm sure because being ON THE VERGE of doing the most daring thing you've EVER DONE SHOULD make you think about God a little more, ya think ?

but, yeah, HEY, after you jumped out of that plane, or, did whatever DARING, wasn't it like the COOLEST THING EVER :)

The most daring thing I've ever done isn't a good thing. I pulled a knife on somebody. But if you want a more noble thing then I'd have to say trying out for cheerleading. I couldn't take it though because of how gay it was. I still gotta find a better example. How about the time I performed in a talent show that I barely rehearsed at all. It worked out amazingly enough. I just looked at what the Cathy and Amberly were doing and copied them. Sorta winged it... I didn't practice so there's still some negative in there maybe one more thing.. I know I can't go wrong with this one. I put my foot in the front wheel of my bike when I was like 12 and ended up doing a front flip landing on the road going about 10 miles an hour. I think that one was more God saving me there, because I barely even knew what happened. My sister and friend were with me and they're the one's who told me what happened. Didn't have a scratch. Landed on my feet kneeling on one knee and one hand on the ground. Oh wait, I got one more! The first day I tried to ride a bike I got it, then I tried it without the handlebars... the SAME DAY! That didn't turn out as well.. when I hit the turn I took a slide on the ground and my parents watching freaked out.

Oooor maybe I should tell about the time I decided on going on a 14 day hiking trip with 55lb backpacks navigating through the North Carolina wilderness when I was 14. I guess all in all, I'm a pretty daring person. Fear has never been a weakness for me. Actually I should have more fear of consequences if anything.

Okay I got another one. I asked out a girl to prom that I saw in the doorway of my school that I had flirted with in math class a year before. That was pretty daring.

One more... I asked this classic perfect 10 blonde working at Panera Bread for her number. I didn't get it, but I know why. It was the presentation. Just for a moment I hesitated and looked down. Bad move. Those girls can smell it when you have the least bit of insecurity around them. I was close though...

hmmmmm...let's see....

- Chased an armed robber all over a cemetery all night long while he shot at me. (got him :) )
- Let a 6.5, 400 lbs fellow officer dangle me by one arm into an elevator shaft so I could get to the ladder and climb down to help someone who'd fallen in and was still alive
- Helped 5 mommies deliver their babies (3 @ home, 2 on the highway; happens alot in KY haha)
- Ran into a burning house to get a woman's sleeping teen out of his upstairs bedroom (lost my eyelashes and eyebrows for a couple of weeks)
- Engaged in a 5 unit police pursuit (escaped felon from KY prison)
- became a parent :)
- became a wife :)

How much time do we have? fun, fun, fun! :)

Don't think I'm brave enough to be a teacher tho, Hommer :D

lol!!!! But teaching is more nerve-wracking than you'd think, especially in certain districts/schools. Not sure I could do it either, but with Jesus' help, anything's possible! I can't say that I'm an especially daring person (especially after reading Julianna's list- you go, girl!), but here's my list:

-When I was 8, I faced down 3 older boys who were picking on my little brother (not actually that daring, I had correctly presumed that they wouldn't hit a girl, and would cave under a little pressure. But I was also prepared to have presumed incorrectly).

-As a teenager, I grabbed a six-foot blacksnake that had just attacked one of my pet pigeons. Not especially daring, because they aren't even poisonous, but I have an extreme distaste for snakes, and REALLY didn't want to touch it (the pigeon recovered).

-In college, I stepped in when a middle-aged crazy dude began screaming unfairly and getting right in the face of a fellow student. Surprisingly, all I had to do was get between them and repeatedly tell him that he needed to calm down. To my amazement, he eventually agreed, and walked away. Pretty sure he had spiritual issues in addition to mental ones. Fortunately, he got in trouble for the altercation, and left the program shortly thereafter.

-Agreed to appear on live TV. It actually wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

But honestly, I always feel like sort of a wimp whenever I read the stories in "Voice of the Martyrs". The persecution that Christians in certain countries go through on a daily basis is awe-inspiring. I wish that I could say that I have the same faith, that I would keep sharing Jesus with others, even if it meant jail, torture, even death. But I don't know. I guess no one knows until they go through it. I have heard that He gives you enough grace to endure, but nevertheless, I think that being willing to die for your faith is the most daring thing anyone can do. Oops, sorry, I got sidetracked. Someone post quick, before I start rambling again! :)

I was a student once and I wasn't scary. Teachers wished they had more students like me.

Truthfully, I just am more Clark Kent than Superman when it comes to having done daring things in life, I guess.

Hmmm, how about sticking up for my sister in 6th grade at the pool (she in 4th) when two bigger , older boys started crudely teasing her. I told them to knock it off and told them to stop and go away. 'Stop,' was ok, as I look back on it, but 'go away,' challenged their egos, as I was a pipsqueak in 4th grade and these kids were a lot bigger than me. Anyway, the two boys proceeded to take my head and dunk me in the water and it was weird feeling...I couldn't't do anything smart then but hold my breath under water as they were intent on doing something to me. Honestly, don't remember what happened next, but my sister must have screamed cuz they took the pressure off my head after close to a minute.

GreatBrandonino, that was funny what you said about Paneta Bread and 'almost' got thru asking a girl out with your head high and your eyes afixed firmly on the prize. :D

Been there, done that too, as once when I was 17 this girl I liked soo much , I had math class with year before, and. Took me a year to build up enough courage to ask her out (where's the Wizard (of Oz) when you need him :D. Anyway, I came up to her after school and bawled my eyes out AS I ASKED HER OUT. She started almost crying as I asked het out, so, yeah, needless to say, she said, 'no,' ----- OK, that goes for 'daring' for me too, y'all.

I did actually ask her out. It took me about 12 seconds to work up the courage to do it. I guess God just decided to bless me in that area. I just was hesitant as I did it.

hahaha Green! Nope, that's not all. Just a few days out of 9 years of pretty much the same kinda stuff. :) A few more??

- Getting an abused wife away from an armed husband in a dark trailer
- repelling into a ravine to help rescue 3 children and their parents from a wrecked van
- Jumping into rushing flood waters to help rescue an elderly lady from her home
- Stopping a violent woman who'd injured 3 males officers because they didn't want to use force on a woman who knew this and used it to her advantage
- Chased a woman who got away from the arresting officer on foot down the center of a busy city street.

I should put some "normal" kinda stuff here though. hahaha

- Jumped out of a 2nd story window just for fun as a kid
- ramped bikes and skateboards
- chased a teenager who threw a rock at my older stepbrother and broke his nose down an alley with a baseball bat at the age of 6
- tell as many people as possible how awesome my God is :)

Got a tattoo of a cross on my ankle. first tatto at age 38 and i had Never wanted a tattoo. It was a spur of the moment thing... crap it hurt..

jumping out of a two story window when you were a kid. I think I have to take my hat off to that one. ;)

I did jump off my swing set after balancing along it when I was maybe 6 or 7. That's about 12 feet to the ground.

Doing my first back flip on a trampleen.

It doesn't sound daring, but my first dive off a diving board. Everybody was cheering for me, but I knew I was going to belly flop and I did. Wow, that took guts. Needless to say, I learned how anyway and it's my favorite thing to do when I go swimming now... at least other than backflips.

My first front flip off a diving board was daring and it was the best feeling in the world. Cuz I wanted it so bad, the rush of success really got me.

When I was 8 or so I defended my friend and sister from a few boys, one with a switch knife by becoming incredibly protective with a large branch. :)

I've done a lot of really dumb things and lived to tell about it but truly the most Courage summoning was asking a girl out that I really really liked.

Her answer was "maybe..." which made me feel ecstatically confused.
