I believe we are on the outside of the 7 years peering in. I think that the 70th week for Israel would begin with them when they sacrifice the red heifer.

Right now I think we are in the Psalm 83 war. I also believe that they will clear out Gaza and reduce Damascus to rubble shortly (Isaiah 17) and this will elicit a response against the US that will completely remove us as a superpower or even a factor in the tribulation. That in turn will open the way for the Ezekiel 38 war which will be even bigger, again they will lose and be put to shame and so that will ultimately lead to Armageddon and all the nations.

This is a best guess and not some prophetic word, simply trying to put the puzzle pieces together.
Holy Spirit is confirming to many this IS the Ezekiel 38 war with the Rapture being very near.:)

The groups in Psalm 83 are all here, but not everyone mentioned in Ezekiel 38. I think they are connected with Russia, China and Iran looking for a pretense to attack the US with a massive crippling attack.

Utterly destroyed? They were completely destroyed without qualification? If that were the case then why do we have Israel today?

In 70AD they were "seemingly destroyed" to all but the one who has the power of resurrection.
The temple was destroyed, which both Jesus and John the Baptist
prophesied, bringing to an end that system of sacrifice and worship.

If they sacrifice a red Heifer then that system of sacrifice and worship was not "utterly destroyed" but "seemingly destroyed"

I wondered what I could add to make my post more accurate... something along the lines of bringing to an end that system of sacrifice and worship as a legitimate means of approaching God, for instance. Of receiving forgiveness. Of being reconciled to Him. Jesus' perfect sacrifice supplanted the temple system, regardless of the fact that not all accept this, and carry on as if nothing has changed. That is why He cursed the fig tree, and it withered and died. <= This happened in the week coming up to His ultimate sacrifice on our behalf.

I've just listened to this sermon about Israel and the current war against them. it's very informative and inspiring!

-=<* War In Israel Is A Sign Of The End Of The Age *>=-

Ok, so He used the word antisemitism to describe people who dont believe we should involve ourselves in this war and or people who believe that the nation state of Israel has been oppressing the people in gaza. That while the Hamas attack was extreme it wasnt purely unprovoked as say Pearl Harbour was.

He is right that wiping people about the wickedness of all the nations.

Then he convolutes the promise to Abraham as the children of the flesh rather than a promise to the children of faith.

The promise of God will be fulfilled in the eternal reign of Christ in the new earth.

Well you DO hate Jews so is that inaccurate?

Doesn't matter. Israel will come out of this war just fine, much to your frustration.

Tactics of the political Left.
Rules for radicals, start with a dity name to title anyone who disagrees with you. Racist is a good name to call because we've already labeled it a most heinous thing that you could possibly be

Political correctness is so contradictory! Just like those who call for tolerance, while being intolerant.

The thing that I don't understand when people say God is going to reinstall the temple, sacrifices, and whatever else, is... wouldn't this kinda' do away with Jesus and the things that He freed us from?

Putting up the veil between the holy place and the holy of holies would renew the inaccessibility to God that Jesus gave us... which was rent when He was crucified.
Not to mention renewing the sacrificial system which Christ has done away with and was the last and final sacrifice Himself.

Doesn't renewing all that, do away with Christ Himself?

Obviously the temple sacrifices were done away with when Jesus was crucified, that is made very clear in Hebrews.

What we are seeing in human history is that people do not want to recognize Jesus as Lord, they want to be lord. The entire temptation and fall was about trying to be like God rather than being one with God. This is what the Antichrist is, he is a counterfeit christ, they are all imitations.

So what the Lord does is allow us to see the contrast. This is how people get saved. Someone wanted to be a gangster and then in prison repents. The Jews rejected the Lord Jesus so He is going to rub their noses in that choice, they will discover that following the ways of the world leads them into a pit they can not escape from.

So yes, all things are under God's sovereignty, but the temple the Jews build will wind up being for the Antichrist and they will deeply regret and ultimately repent of that. Then they will see Him whom they pierced.

I apologize for being dense... but I fail to see an answer to my question(s).
Renewing the temple/sacrificial system undoes many things that Christ did and is for/to us.

If they put a vail between God and man... which is what would happen if the rebuilt the temple - - and God inhabited it (which I doubt).
Also, Jesus was the final, once for all, sacrifice... how can there more, now?

Why do you think that God would undo so much that He did through Jesus?

Please excuse me for jumping in here, but as I understand it, what ZNP has said is not validating
the building of a new temple at all except to say it will be the place of the anti-Christ for the
fulfillment of prophesy which will bring the Jews great shame when they realize Whom it was
that they pierced, at which time they may finally turn to and accept Christ... and therefore does
not in any way impact or undo anything that Jesus accomplished on our behalf.
