we are commanded to "watch therefore, and wait".

The first rapture is for those who are watching, no watching = no rapture. Nobody should want that or seek that. Commands are to be obeyed, not blown off in favor of a "leaning on ones own understanding" which is what it is.
Blowing off His command is what He spoke of how most would have an outward form, denying the power. Being Holy Spirit filled is required, growing to where He will manifest through us is His intention.
Being conformed to the image of the Son is how this is walked out in obedience
I have no problem with "watching".
I think every believer is "watching"..... that scripture is basically saying.... "stay in a state of readiness"

see the parable of the bridesmaids....

Endlessly arguing about when it's going to be are actually counter to that scripture.
I still have yet to see a legitimate benefit the back and forth arguments bring to the body.

In that parable, the bridesmaids that missed the coming of the bridegroom were probably endlessly arguing about when he would arrive, and forgot to keep their lamps full.... sound like anything that's happening here, today?

we don't really find that in that scripture, attributing it to discord.
Holy Spirit being likened to "oil" I take it to mean being full of Holy Spirit.
We each better wish we don't find out who the a.c. is, he will only be revealed after His church is gone, and not a denomination or such, the ecclesia is the body of believers, He told us He judges the heart.:)(y)
best wishes

of course not.... that was tongue-in-cheek...

it's merely telling us that they did not remain in a state of readiness...

op: events before pre-trib departure?
None.

The "Times of the Signs (events)" is for the "Time of Jacob's (Israel's) Trouble,"
After The Body Of Christ leaves earth, in:

Great GRACE Departure!

Amen.
Events before the rapture according to Jesus. He answered the question "what will be the sign of thy parousia and end of the age....

For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Behold, I have told you before.

(Mar 13:14–23; Luk 17:23, 24, 37; 21:20–24 )

God is love and loves all people, and will not give up on the world until the world gives up on Him.

So He is giving the world 7 years to have their way, although the deception started before then which is the new age movement, and cause all people who do not love Him to follow the New Age Christ, and when they take his mark then they will have the nature of a devil, and salvation will no longer be available to the world, and He will end sin on Earth.

Since God is allowing the world to persecute the truth for 7 years then the saints will remain on Earth for if the saints were not on the Earth then how does the world persecute the truth when the saints represent the truth, and they must persecute the truth before He will end sin on Earth.

The tribulation is not for the world for God is giving them their way for 7 years.

The tribulation is for the saints because God is allowing them to persecute the truth so He can end sin on Earth.

Paul said the saints cannot be gathered unto Christ until there is a falling away first which is the response of the world to the Gospel which they stopped the preaching of it, and the teaching of a personal God on a world wide level not allowing anything to be taught contrary to the new age movement.

For the first three and one half years salvation is still available to the world so the saints will remain on Earth to represent the truth.

At the end of the three and one half years the transgressors have come to the full, and then the New Age Christ will claim to be God.

He blasphemes God and His tabernacle so the saints are on Earth for if they were not on Earth he would not have to do that.

For the last three and one half years he makes war against the saints and prevails against them.

And they shall be given in to his hands for three and one half years.

And when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people then all things shall be finished.

Which then comes the end when the Son shall have delivered up the kingdom to God.

So all things during that 7 years period will happen before the saints are caught up.

Paul said let no one deceive you for the resurrection shall not happen until the man of sin claims to be God.

2Ti 2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
2Ti 2:17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
2Ti 2:18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

There is no pre 7 years resurrection, and when it does not happen it will overthrow the faith of some people.

1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.

They will follow the new age movement which is of the occult.

Amen clearly no one knows when but we’re meant to live as of it could be tomorrow being ready at all times he tells several parables along with the bridesmaids

Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his Lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his Lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My Lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; the Lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, and shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:42, 44-51‬ ‭

“And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25:10-13‬ ‭

“All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:34-35‬ ‭KJV‬‬

those parables are echoing the same messages those parables are teaching us of gods kingdom so we know what to believe and follow after and can begin To know how God operates his kingdom

“Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

(theres also this parable of the invested talents )

…. For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25:1, 14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Each of those kingdom parables holds a lot of understanding about not being complacent but rather being diligent but Jesus was always teaching of the kingdom with parables and lessons

“and saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭3:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:45‬ ‭

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:47‬ ‭

Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:24‬ ‭

Hes telling us about this unseen kingdom and the laws and ways of it that we who believe might inherit this kingdom

there’s so much overall understanding in those parables

“For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭20:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:44‬ ‭

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

hearing and believing the gospel teaches us the truth about the lord and his kingdom

Communicating with Him one on one is even better.
"My sheep know my voice", He didn't say " My sheep read my book".:)(y)

Those weren't churches in existence at the time? What is the purpose of the book of Revelation?
Yes. It would be better to say Rev 5+ with the exception of 12 and the parting message in 22.

He had a different take on the book than I have heard. I was hoping he would give me the outline of the book as he understands it.
