You were shown many times in church history where Church Fathers spoke on what was known as " Utterances." They were well documented. You have a bias, and that's ok. 1901 was not the correct date. Again 1Corthians, chapter 12 through 14, speak on the gifts of hr holy Spirit, and there's nothing there that says they have ceased.
Its not the matter not be saved. But to be filled with the Holy Spirit is shown in other characteristics then speaking in tongues.
What I'm trying to say is that everyone on Earth genuinely baptized with the Holy Ghost will speak in Tongues, because Speaking in Tongues is the initial physical evidence that one has been baptized in the Holy Ghost. And will be until the end of the age.
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Act 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

So do you see that the baptism of the Holy Ghost did not cease with the end of the Apostolic Age.
I am not proposing either for or against whether it is necessary for salvation. Because such topics in this forum will only cause division and arguing spirits among us. Everything we do or say should be in the Spirit and Grace of God, if not, don't say it. Scripture speaks for itself and should always be used alongside any personal comments as often as we can, especially if we are telling someone they are in error and need guidance.
Most are speaking self created babble that has nothing to do with the Holy Spirit.
Of course there is False people not denying that. But the topic if you follow each comment, is whether the Holy Ghost outpouring and Speaking in Tongues ended at the end of the Apostolic Age.
They actually were given the gift of speaking in tongues for their private prayer closet... but they have chosen to not allow the Lord's Spirit to pray thru them in this way.
Not allowing the Holy Ghost to pray thru you is like having a car with no tires... you can still drive it but it's problematic and very inefficient without tires.
Not to mention those that don't pray in the Spirit have no encrypted communication between themselves and the Lord so satan has inside information about their lives making it much easier to his demons to cause trouble for them.
Praying in the Spirit allows the Lord to pray the perfect will of God thru us and the davil ain't got not idea what is being said. He cannot counter plans he knows nothing of.
Maybe this topic is more for those that are mature in the Lord that feed on the meat of God's Word and not just milk.
If so then why the church fathers dont taught this teaching. After the 4th century there it is mentioned very rare. Excepts in certain sechs, like the montanism. No leader of the reformatoric time taught that speaking in tongues is the evidence that someone is baptisedwith the Holy Spirit. No Baptist, Lutheran, Mennonite, Bretheren, Calvinist.
So according your teaching they all had not the baptism with the Holy Spirit.
Instead so called "filled with the Holy Spirit believers" can spread the lie, that who is not speaking in tongues is not saved. (Oness pentecostals), that the RCC doctrine is right.( charismatic movement in the RCC), be the engine for the ekomenism.
If I observe with spirit filled people in the bible, the Holy Spirit led them not to teach false doctrines.
Also in the New Testament it was not taught to other believers that everybody who is baptised with the Holy Spirit get the gift of speaking in tongues.
Thats a conclusion people made afterwards. When they read Acts, 2, 8, 10 and 19. But this teaching was not made in the NT to other believers. As we must expect, because it seems a very Import matter. But it was not taught.

Jesus is the Baptizer in the Holy Spirit. Jesus said you will receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you to be MY Witnesses.
The Empowering of the Holy Spirit is already normative in the New Tesament for all believers. NOWHERE in the word of God does it say it is not for today, and Even if you have not seen it or your false Narrative of the early "Church Fathers" did not teach on the baptism of the Holy Spirit, Jesus did, Paul did. Doesn't matter because Jesus did. There were many things the church did not teach and even more that were wrong unless you align with the RCC tradition, which I might add did not teach of the Holy Spirit empowerment. I guess we are to all now pay penance?
Jesus is the Authoritative word, SIR, and the Bible is the inspired word of God. I don't need the church fathers to teach on that. The Lord Jesus and Paul did just fine.
Your conclusion is wrong. Even on CC are many believers which are not speaking in tongues. Will you deny that they have the Holy Spirit? There is only one baptism with the Holy Spirit. And without having the Holy Spirit there is no salvation.
So if your statement would be right, me and many others on CC have not the Holy Spirit.
and ergo no salvation.

And I hsve the word of God which tells me that your claim is wrong. Read what Paul wrote about speaking in tounges and he wrote a lot. There is no support for your claim.

Did you really read this with Grace and Love or just skimmed it. Everything is plainly typed here. Baptism in the Holy Ghost will always be with speaking in tongues.
Acts 10:44-48: "While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnifyGod. Then answered Peter, Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days." This passage describes how Cornelius and his household were baptized after hearing Peter preach the gospel.
Even at the preaching of the Word was the Holy Ghost poured out. And it was accompanied by Speaking in Tongues. Please tell me what you don't understand so we can work on it together in Love and Grace.

Then show me any scripture where Paul ore any other weiter taught to other believers that if a person will be baptised with the Holy Spirit the initial sign for that is the gift of speaking in tongues.
Using Acts is no proof for it. Because the events in Acts 2,8,10 and 19 were given to show the jews that the gospel is for all mankind and not only for them. If you create a doctrine from it to proof your teaching it is not more then man made.
You are agreeing to what was stated by your own words. All the verses I stated and statements within them in bold are all Gospel.
All the proof you need is in the book of Acts. If you don't believe that Book than you don't believe any of the Bible. I will keep you in my prayer that God would open your understanding.
