i read through this thread again.
did the Op commit some sort of Blasphemy, i really only see his opinion given.
none of which is threatening to our Salvation.
just wondering how he was Banned?
must be because the bullies picked on him.
typical non Christian reaction.
It is the decision of the Moderators, and they don't share their reasons. It may not have anything to do with this thread.

It also has nothing to do with "bullies"; people are banned for a variety of reasons, and the Moderators are intelligent people who aren't swayed by popular opinion. There's no need to speculate. :)

Matthew 11:18-19
For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon.'
The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!'
But wisdom is justified by her children.

this seems to make it very clear that Jesus did not totally abstain from wine and that what is being referred to as wine is fermented.
why would they make fun of Jesus for consuming grape juice? were they worried about Jesus' blood sugar levels?

Um, you think his banning had anything to do about his beliefs about the Jews and his attitude here and in other threads?
it is a DEBATE FORUM, not, if you don't act like me i will get you banned forum...,or, maybe i misread the Purpose of this Forum.

how do the Moderators come to know people are doing wrong?
i only see one, maybe 2 online per time [5% of the time].
it appears, someone has to alert them for them to even know what's happening.

That's a shame,
i was waiting for a reply from him in another thread.

as Dino said it may have nothing to do with this thread, and if he was making slurs against other members those posts may have been deleted by the mods.

banning isn't something done simply by members reporting posts. the moderators make decisions based on the TOS and typically PM people with warnings first. it happens often that people get banned for how they reply to those warnings, and we never see that behavior on the board.

it certainly wasn't for having strong opinions about alcohol or half the people in this thread would be banned lol
and we've had plenty of threads exactly lie this one without everyone getting booted.

i hope it was only a temporary ban to help him cool down, and that he will be back.

You give too much weight to the testimony of false accusers.
They have no problem fabricating lies.

If you ever went through persecution, you might have a different perspective.

John the Baptist kicked butts and took numbers. He kicked out pharisees in his baptism services. I'm sure the liberals would say he wasn't Christ-like for not being gentle to them.
They had a public disinformation campaign against both of these men.
Jesus was the most slandered person in the Bible. Simply going to a dinner where there's alcoholic wine OR juice available would be enough to get those losers to bad mouth Him.

What did they say about a man filled with the Holy Spirit?
He has a devil.
What did they say about the sinless Son of God?
He's a glutton and drunkard.

None of their claims have any bearing on either one .

That's not proof of anything, TKCS.

I've already stated that the word 'wine' has two meanings in the Bible.

Talk about all of you ignoring facts and refusing to accept things.

These verses speak of grape juice.
Lam. 2:11-12

This verse speaks of alcohol.
Prov. 20:1

Now, do you SEE that they both use the same word 'wine' yet have a dual meaning or is there something wrong with your visual perception?

Sincere question.

I'm just curious what the disconnect is.
Oops!

Bye bye

What leads you to believe there are warnings first, like a PM?

There is nothing at all pure about alcohol. It is toxic to the human body. It is poison. It is great as an antiseptic, sure. It kills microorganisms and bacteria that it comes into contact with.

Good for human ingestion? Not so much.
Many medicinal products contain alcohol.
1 Timothy 5:23
“Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.”

this is why i am asking.
i am not opposed to banning.
i just know i have participated in 2 of his threads and the most i really ever saw was his opinion.
all of his Scripture backed much of what he tried to say, even if some areas, he lacked understanding.

honestly, i really am not even opposed to someone saying, learn to read or why can't you understand.
it seems to fit the mold when you get replies such as "you're Wrong" "because you're wrong" "i said so" but never provide Scripture to back your defense.

you're wrong, i said so, what else it may be...seems equivalent to saying you're stupid, learn how to read, get a clue.

if this was a court of Law, this would be like taking candy from a baby.

BOTH Sides, would be BANNED!!

Never.

Jesus would not, and did not, ingest alcohol.
Mark 14: 25 “Truly I tell you, I will not drink again from the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.

God Bless You :)

Was Jesus called a winebibber or a grapejuicebibber?
Matthew 26:29
“But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.”
It sounds like Jesus is referring to a celebrational happy-drink time in the future at least.

It was at that point. I believe the kingdom of God made a grand entrance the day of Pentecost.

That's just... weird.

Proclamation.

1 Corinthians 11:23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

God Bless You :)

i wonder, at the Upper Room, First Communion of the New Covenant, why would Jesus drink His Ceremonial Blood?

He would not!
