They have the power of the purse. The Senate cannot pass a budget unless the House also passes it. They can subpoena, they can impeach, these excuses don't make any sense, what has the House done and sent to the Senate that they then refused to pass?
The only thing they have done is give press conferences. No fiscal responsibility, no border security, no one stopped $140 billion going to Ukraine, and if they had pursued Biden with official hearings, and subpoenas then he couldn't be over in San Fran selling us out now.

No, not at all.... but you seem to want to hold the republicans to a standard you are not willing to apply to the democrats.
Most everything the democrats did was damaging, if not disastrous to the economy of our nation. The largest spending bill in the history of the world, passed by the democrats, with a few willing RINO's tagging along, trying to be one of the "cool kids"... encouraging whole hog illegal immigrant invasion, gender assimilation.... we could go on for days.....
Personally, if we can't have a House that actively does good things, I'm happy with a House that does nothing.... that's WAY better than the destruction the democrats have wrought.....

Well, they did accomplish pissing me off a lot.
But, to whom do we turn?? We need a legitimate opposition party, one that gets that we're in a major cultural war. So far, it seems that most Republicans are unaware of this, don't care, or worse.

We don't impeach the President after he is convicted of a crime, that is not going to happen since the DOJ is under him. No, we impeach a president so that he can stand trial for a crime.
Being impeached is like being suspended from your job so you can stand trial. The accusations against Joe Biden and the Biden family would have gotten any other public servant suspended long ago.
The mayor of Washington DC was booted for doing cocaine, yet we find a bag of cocaine in the Whitehouse and they act like it is nothing? We have checks that were given to Biden from foreign countries, that is a very clear violation of the law, that is all that is necessary to impeach. What is the hold up?
Meanwhile our national debt just increased by $60 billion, in one day. I remember back when $4 billion was too much to pay for a wall along our Southern border. We spend that in less than two hours. We will soon pass $34 trillion. Even never trumpers are worried. Yet Biden tells us this is the best we have ever had it.
Let us be fair, many politicians on both sides of the aisle will talk a great game, but where is the action? They are all for a balanced budget and rooting out corruption, and yet corruption doesn't get rooted out and they continue to kick the can down the road on the debt.

No... I remain unimpressed by him thus far.
I will say this about Chip's speech: He was wrong about one thing, that Trump did nothing to protect the border. Under him, the flow almost completely stopped. He didn't get a wall constructed, but that depends also on other entities that he does not directly control. He did, however, find the means in his executive authority to get Mexico to keep the migrants there and not let them cross.

Personally, I think Fauci should be tried before a tribunal for crimes against humanity, and publicly hanged by the neck until dead, dead, dead.....
