A covenant in the Bible is the deepest truth or promise provided. It's impossible for God to break it.... and it has nothing to do with you. It has to do with him making the promise and the fact that God can't lie. If he lies, he dies and so do we.

Here it is:
Gen. 12:2
I will make you you into a great nation, and I will bless you.
I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse. And all people on earth will be blessed through you.

Later... Abraham lies and says Sarah is his sister. Despite this, he continues going to God and is blessed. It's an obligation God has to fulfill because of his own words.

Gen. 13:2 Abraham had become very wealthy in livestock, silver, and gold.

Do you understand that abundance belongs to the children of God yet?

Replace Abraham with Jesus. Of course Jesus was also rich. A caravan of camels sent by 3 kings of gold was given to him! God made this promise to Abraham and God doesn't change! Now do you understand why king Herod was so mad about another king being born and set to overthrow him?

How does the Abrahamic covenant apply to you?
But now look at Abraham’s covenant through Christ and the gospel and see who Abraham’s children actually are the hiers of his true promise in the heavens

“And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the gentile through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. ( Abraham isnt the father of one nation but many nations all nations actually )

So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. ….that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ;

that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; ( Jesus ) and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one. ( father son holy ghost )

But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:8-9, 14, 16, 19-20, 23-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

when someone gets baptized in Jesus name they are taking on his identity as the child of God and the promised seed of Abraham

if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

the gospel is about the promises made to Abraham father of many nations the new name God gave him when he promised isaacs birth not Abram father of Israel only but of many nations

“And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭17:3-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s prophetic about Christian’s of all nations born in Christ the seed of Abraham through the gospel he sent to all nations concerning Jesus the seed of Abraham and hier of creation

“The book of the generation of Jesus Christ,

the son of David,

the son of Abraham.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s no longer about who our parents are what our race is or gender it’s about faith in Christ now by hearing his gospel

“For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

Even though the Jews have been treated horribly, they have also been blessed. The world's population of Jews is only 2%, yet 59% of then have college degrees, 22% of Nobel prize winners are Jews, they average a higher IQ than those of any other race.

Part of this is because of their lifestyle. They begin memorizing scripture when they are little more than babies, as an example.

The Jewish accomplishments in all fields in so great. Now, they have been leaving the orthodox Jewish lifestyle. It will be interesting to see how this affects the Jewish race.
50% of billionaires in the USA are Jewish, even though they're 1% of the population. I definitely agree it's because of their lifestyle of scripture from such a young age. Imagine after the holocaust gaining that much wealth in such a short amount of time.

Previously I read the entire new testament of the Bible. I read pieces of the old testament, so I decided to go back in and read daily. Like a crazy person I read the new testament before the old so most made no sense. I think a lot of Christians do this. Now reading the old testament it makes much more sense, but I have to accept things that I thought were incorrect. One being I always thought Jesus was poor.

David mentioning about the uncircumcised Goliath. Because he was uncircumcised David knew he was not a part of the Abrahamic Covenant. Therefore he knew he would win.

North Korea? Really. The evil are obviously stealing from the children of God. They do that here in America too believe it or not. We are just a lot more blessed bc our country was founded on biblical principles and nations like this are blessed.

You still mention nothing about Jesus receiving caravans of gold. I wonder why? 3 kings or 3 wise men close to the kings would no doubt have a ton of wealth.

I don't understand why Christians want Jesus to be poor. The manger was symbolic for him being the lamb of God. They had money for an inn... they had no room.

When Jesus says he had no place to lay his head... that's because he was essentially acting as a missionary. All he's saying is they are on the road a lot. If he was some poor guy he wouldn't even need to explain that. They had a money bag. He was invited to weddings. It even says he was rich.

"Though He was rich, for your sake He became poor, so that by His poverty you might become rich."

Obviously referring to when he died on the cross he become poor. They even divided his garments among the soldiers bc they were worth money.

The love of money is the root of all evil. We already know that bc people can get rich by biblical principles, but not having morals. That's why the love of money is the root of all evil. It's not saying money is evil.

God said "the gold of that land is good." Gen 2:12

God literally calls gold good and yet Christians still try to say "no no God meant spiritually blessed, not in regards to riches." Pretty sure he said gold was good.

Then we know how rich Solomon and Abraham were but people still say Jesus was poor. As if Jesus didn't understand biblical principles of wealth. He was given wealth, earned it through carpentry, and then became a teacher where rich people followed him.

Yet he didn't tell all the rich people to go away bc they're rich and therfore must love money and be evil.
No, He told the rich ruler to sell all he had. That nameless man was obviously a covenant man because he kept the commandments. It is not stated why he was rich. Obviously the man was bound to his riches because he was not willing to give them up. Jesus said that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.

Money itself is not evil. However, riches can be deceitful and choke a person's spiritual growth. (parable of the sower). I'm not advocating for poverty. I do believe riches can be a snare and a trap. It's easy to forget God when you do not have to depend on Him to meet your needs.

You don't know what happened to the gold brought to Jesus. The family moved to Egypt for some time. Perhaps they had to spend it to set up a home there. There is nothing to suggest that the family was rich. Joseph offered a dove as a temple offering. That was a sign of being poor, not rich. Maybe that was before the Magi showed up. We don't know.

Nazareth was not a town for the elites. Jesus worked for a living. Money is a tool to be used for God's kingdom. That's all. Paul learned the secret - be content with what God has given you. At one time, Paul was poor. Another time, he said that his needs were met amply. Those who judge spirituality by their bank balance (or other Christians) are deceived.

So how much land do you own, how many servants, how many sheep and cattle? Do you possess the land initially given to the 12 tribes? I thought not.

What are you talking about ? Jesus never promised me any land or sheep lol ….he promised eternal life in his eternal kingdom.

aid you read the old covenant made through Moses with israel you find out they broke thier covenant just like God said they would and cursed their land leaving it desolate ……like this earth it will be devoured this day when Jesus comes

“but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. ( this earth is doomed )

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

( Jesus doesn’t promise this world like your talking about it’s going to end in a hail of fire Jesus promises this new thing that was promised to Abraham the father of many nations

Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:7, 10, 13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I was never a part of Moses covenant law so the curse for breaking it or the. Leadings for keeping it don’t apply they didn’t apply to Abraham either lol he lives 430 years before the law was given to his earthly offspring Abraham was before the law and was promised the gospel

the law came to bridge the gap between the promise of Jesus to Abraham in genesis and the fulfillment of Jesus in the gospel

Abraham isnt of the law of Moses it came 430 years after Abraham Isaac and Jacob all died having received the promise of Christ

abrahams flesh and blood doesn’t matter anymore Jesus flesh and blood is all that matters

it really is plainly stated that’s why inised all the plain scriptire like this part ot just says what it says

“For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, ( Abraham wasn’t a Jew or gentile he was a Hebrew jews came by the law ) there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:27-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

you can argue it but I’m not really interested in arguing against what’s just plainly stated there “ those who are baptized into Christ are Abraham’s promised children of many nations and the hiers of his promise “

that’s just what Paul said though people either hear it and learn from it or reject it and argue that it’s not true

if I had just said it d the scriptures didn’t I could argue my point but it just says what it says if one read the whole chapter it becomes a wealth of understanding if we don’t read it and then reject what he’s plainly setting in front of us expecting us to accept and believe it

faith isn’t about natural things it’s about spiritual eternal things

If by that you mean that the descendants of Abraham (the twelve tribes of Israel) don't matter any more to God you are DEAD WRONG. Indeed you are rejecting what God has said within the Abrahamic Covenant.

You could start with Psalm 105, given to David by divine inspiration, and go from there:
6 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
7 He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
8 He hath remembered his covenant
for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
9 Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
10 And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel
for an everlasting covenant:
11 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:
12 When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.

What is an "everlasting covenant" my friend? Does "everlasting" also mean "eternal"? And are those the words of God the Holy Spirit, as first given in 1 Chronicles 16:13-19?

God has an eternal plan and purpose for the Church (redeemed Jews and Gentiles in one Body). But He also has an eternal plan and purpose for redeemed and restored Israel on earth after the Second Coming of Christ.

by that you mean that the descendants of Abraham (the twelve tribes of Israel) don't matter any more to God ….

No I’ve never said anything like that ……

and yes this everlasting covenant which they broke

“The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

( which means this )

The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭24:5-6, 20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

and then again we can clearly see truth here

“Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭31:31-32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He’s clearly saying I’m going to make a new covenant that isn’t according to what the old said made through Moses when I led them out of Egypt and they broke it I’m going to come and make a dofferent new covenant with them

That’s what the gospel is
The new bc cement God made with israel and Judah and after he died he told them to go preach the same gospel to all people ( gentiles too ) and anyone that believe and was baptized would be saved

later paul adds to this understanding regarding Abraham

“And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the gentile through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:8-9, 16, 26-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I just agree with what Paul’s saying there no in no way have I said israel doesn’t matter to God he’s plead with them forever and still will save any who repent and believe the gospel just as any gentile

but I do acknolwedge the Bible is what we should learn and believe so I do believe israel broke tbier covenant and the curse he promised came and that we have to believe the gospel to be savedfrom that everlasting curse

….if someone is Israeli and then was able to go back and keep all of Moses laws and commands I’m sure they would be rewarded as to what Moses said still but the issue is one sin and your a sinner now no one can live a sinless life so the law doesn’t work for us

David mentioning about the uncircumcised Goliath. Because he was uncircumcised David knew he was not a part of the Abrahamic Covenant. Therefore he knew he would win.
Lol. I thought this was more David insulting Goliath (and encouraging Israel) by highlighting Goliath's uncircumcision and absence of covenant with God, as Goliath had insulted Israel and God? I agree that David trusted in God, but I'm not sure David knew he would win just because Goliath was not part of the Abrahamic Covenant. David had faith in God which was greater than any fear he had, unlike the others in the army of Israel.

No problem, I misread comments also at times. I know both plenty and tough times. The hard times are good because they get us to depend on Jesus more. I fell for the prosperity heresy decades ago. I discovered that it makes people rich - those who promote it!

a oh yeah brother I’m not at all onto the prosperity gospel or the hypergrace gospel or really any gospel except for the one the lord gave us and said will save our everlasting souls

if we have money we’re meant to share it even if we have a little with those that have less that’s my position on money and possessions

I believe the tringsnjesus presched and promised he definately wasn’t preaching prosperity gospel

yes hard times hurt but they also make us stronger and give us patience and perseverance nd also a fellowship with other Christian’s that are suffering in the world

No I’ve never said anything like that ……
Of course you have. Here is a direct quote from your post (which I quoted earlier):
"abrahams flesh and blood doesn’t matter anymore Jesus flesh and blood is all that matters"

As a matter of fact you have directly contradicted God. So what you need to do is study the Abrahamic Covenant carefully and honestly, and then retract what you said. (Which is not very likely since you continue to persist in your erroneous beliefs).

Gen 12: 3 "I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

If you are a Gentile. this is the only thing that affects you. And it is all based on the seed of Abrahamn, which is Christ

right lol NO flesh and blood matters to God he’s trying to save our spirit ….it doesn’t matter if I’m born of Abraham’s line or not they aren’t special because of their flesh

That which is born of the flesh is flesh;

and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:6‬ ‭

“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:63

“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:50‬ ‭KJV‬‬

being born of Hebrew descent doesn’t save or make any difference now that was all in the ot they also thought “ were Abraham’s descendants were special “

This was spoken to israel before Jesus began preaching

“Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: and think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭3:8-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

airs not going to help anyone on earth to say “ but I’m Israeli “ it’s here whether a Jew or gentile where Abraham’s cchildren are born instead of trying to argue read this

“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:26-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We should start taking what Paul’s saying as he’s right hand he’s already interpreted the ot stuff to make his conclusions it’s all exactly like he said when a person looks at what he’s said and what’s on the ot Paul is absolutely right

The children of Jacob are the twelve tribes of Israel Abraham’s seed of inheritance is everyone that accepts the gospel and is baptized into Christ

abrahams children are born here of the spirit not the flesh that doesn’t matter anymore

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

later paul came along preaching to those who believed and were baptized teaching them what it meant

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise

That’s how he would raise up children for Abraham like John said and how Paul explains plainly

But to be clear beong born Israeli in the flesh means nothing to God nice Christ was crucified all flesh is lost that’s why it can’t inherit the kingdom

gentile and Jew are both sinners and unclean and need the gospel and Jesus that’s the only salvation available to man either gentile or Jew and whoever receives it is a child of Abraham and an hier to his heavenly promises …
not an earthly inheritance

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:13, 16-19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

To understand New Testament you need to look away from the earthly and up where Jesus is the gospel is how you see him

“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:1-4‬ ‭

then the things Paul’s explaining make sense and we can believe instead of interpreting

Does anyone else wonder "How did David know?" I mean, when it came to loin cloths for Goliath, could the Philistines only muster up an extra large?

"Sorry big guy, they only go up to XL."
Not familiar with English, maybe he thought "XL" meant "Extra long"?
Ah, mysteries...

“a matter of fact you have directly contradicted God. So what you need to do is study the Abrahamic Covenant carefully and honestly, and then retract what you said. (Which is not very likely since you continue to persist in your erroneous beliefs).”

by quoting from the New Testament and agreeing with what it says ?

That which is born of the flesh is flesh;

and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭3:8-10‬ ‭

which part disagrees with God and is erroneous ? That Hebrew flesh and blood still makes a difference ?

Or maybe is this the erroneous part ?

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:26-29‬ ‭KJV‬

thats the part that’s erroneous ? That this is how Abraham’s children are actually born ?

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

air you really want to understand why read the parable of what osrwal did to the prophets and all god sent them and then did to his son and what his response was to them the kingdom will be taken from you and given to them who will produce is fruit

Understand anyone now an African man a Hebrew man a man English man an Australian ect they are all the same to God claiming someone os of the tribe of Benjamin now isn’t going to help

brother of the Bible is explaining something to us it’s okay for us to let go of what we thought and change to what it says

I know you seem intent lately on bickering and especially labeling people heretics but do you even read the scriptures in my posts before you begin screeching that it’s all wrong ?

Like I said that being Abraham’s flesh and blood descendant doesn’t matter it won’t save anyone it’s no different than of the person is English or African Asian ….yes you’ve labeled ot heresy when the gospel repeatedly makes the point “ your flesh and blood can’t save you anymore you can claim Abraham is your father but you aren’t his children because you aren’t of faith like he was

Abraham was promised to be the father of many nations this already includes gentiles the gentiles are every nation that’s not Israel

look what Paul says here about Abraham and what he was told in genesis

“Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:7-9, 14‬ ‭

anrwhwms covenwnt was always about gentiles it’s the gospel that god sent to …..all creatures gentiles and Jew the gospel check it out

a brother these things aren’t heresy or biblically not true or certainly dorectly contradicting god they are quotes from his word ……it’s in your Bible Also bit when you read this stuff don’t be so sure of what you thought that you reject what it actually plainly and clearly says

Gen 12: 3 "I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

If you are a Gentile. this is the only thing that affects you. And it is all based on the seed of Abrahamn, which is Christ
Do you understand why God told Abraham to count the stars if he could? Because that represented the children of God. It's impossible to count up that high and it's not just the jews or Christ.

Though it includes christ. You guys don't understand he was rich...despite all the evidence to the contrary. But Abrahamn was blessed with riches and Jesus was not, according to modern day christianese.

Yet the Bible specifically says he was given riches by 3 kings. Who made gold? And God says its good in Genesis. But Christians are taught Jesus was poor to make Christians more like Buddhists.

But the desire for nothing won't allow you to fulfill your purpose. I had a dream of an angel the night I was baptized and he showed me the stars and spoke to me in another language and told me " a new life." I was going through years of infertility and got pregnant with a baby boy soon after. That's how I know it still applies to today and to us.

Lol. Some things in life are just so obvious, one doesn't need to check. e.g. The gayest looking guys are all fed-bois. The ugliest women are all Commies. All Faucis are Wormtongues. And all Philistines are filthy. Their reputations proceed them.

No it includes all of his grandchildren. How many kids did he have? Also. he was said to be the father of many nations. Not just one

Not sure what this has to do with my comment.

what??
