I disagree. It's never about them being cut off. It is always about you and I being cut off. They are eternally secure. Not you and I.
correct its more than likely not so much about themselves but what others can do to get themselves cut of, the back to front part and the false premise is there questioning what a person may do to get themselves cut of but have no idea if such a person was saved in the first place. Or fail to recognise being cut of can mean left out in the cold for a while.

The last resort is not something God takes pleasure in even for the wicked, God says as much in his word.

Im certain this would be even less pleasure for a saved person.

But time and time again we see the saved people being judged the same way as the wicked, it really makes me think like satan is fantasizing every time this topic is brought up.

Agreed. Where is God's love in their theology?

He Died for us as enemies, as ungodly. ( the Greater)

As sons he is able to deliver us from wrath. (the lesser)

ROM 5:6-9 For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.(the greater) For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then , having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath [of God] through Him.( the lesser)

If God did the greatest, died for us as ungodly and helpless, it stands to reason that He will do the lesser, justify us and save us from wrath as sons.

That is my opinion and nothing you've presented has changed it. Most readers are perfectly capable of forming their own opinion and have the freedom to do so as well. They may either hold my opinion or reject it and continue to follow your teaching or reject it. I will not entertain your opinions any further nor does must I do continue to do so. Satan offered misleading representations of scripture in order that Jesus would show Himself faithless, by offering Him doubt with, "Didn't scripture say...?" That might've worked in the garden, but it failed miserably in the desert.
Okay. I have a little break to be able to do a quick reply here.

So to get down to business:

Jesus is our example (1 Peter 2:21) (1 John 2:6).

In all Jesus' teachings He referred to the divine authority of the Old Testament (Matthew 5:17-18; Matthew 8:17;Matthew 12:40-42; Luke 4:18-21; Luke 10:25-28; Luke 15:29-31; Luke 17:32; Luke 24:25-45; John 5:39-47). He quoted the Old Testament 78 times, the Pentateuch alone 26 times. He quoted from Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, Psalms, Proverbs, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Amos, Jonah, Micah, and Malachi. He referred to the Old Testament as “The Scriptures,” “the word of God,” and “the wisdom of God.” Jesus defeated the devil by using Scripture. For three words, "It is written" was said 3 times by Jesus in Matthew 4:1-11. This is confirmed by Ephesians 6 with how the Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God which is an offensive weapon you are to take up when putting on the armor of God so that one can stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11, 16). For the Living Word (Jesus) is like a two edged sword that divides asunder the soul and the spirit because He always speaks the words of God because He is God (Hebrews 4:12).

”Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” (Matthew 7:15-20).
That's an interesting passage. The wolves in sheep's clothing were always wolves, they didn't morph from sheep. They were never saved. They were never going to produce good fruit because they would never be able to.

God Bless You :)

thanks for the reminder it would be nice hearing the words Gods word is like a double edged sword in better circumstances but not in a situation where you want people who are saved to believe they will lose there salvation. That's just not nice

Amen! We're saved by what God has done for us not by what we are expected to do.

May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24).

The one who calls us is faithful and He will do it. Not us doing it, He will do it. God Bless :)

Of course Christ called the OT "the Scriptures". But that has no bearing on your false beliefs. Did Jesus establish the New Covenant when He died on the cross? And do you know anything about the power of the shed blood of Christ? For a Bible Highlighter, you have failed to understand the significance of the sacrifice of Christ.

Right, and how do you know the Lord? By keeping His commandments (See 1 John 2:3). For the person who says they know the Lord and they do not keep His commands is a liar and the truth is not in him (See: 1 John 2:4).
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

The scripture speaks of false professors who considered their work as iniquity. They may have prophesied in his name, cast out devils, and done wonderful works and yet not doing the will of the Father. But how can we know it is not the will of his Father? On the chapter alone we can glean some insights>

  • Prejudiced v.1. These Jews as the audience judged unfairly; The Jews knew they were right in judging others as they mistook others who were not righteous according to their standards.
  • Hypocrisy v.5. His works are only for show, a fake, never genuine, again he is some sort of a self-righteous like the scribes and the Pharisees. He works to his own credit.
  • Wrong intentions v.15. The false teachers have their propaganda but at the end, he is just only in a sheep’s clothing but, actually a ravening wolf.
It is because of these, that the Lord said "Many say…Lord, Lord "but they were not known by him. The will of the Father is to trust Him completely for salvation. If many won’t they have nothing to lose, they were lost.

If he could take the first sentence of the lord in this text you quoted and apply that to his doctrine, hopefully he will realise most of his reasoning should be directed at the unsaved, and if he could apply the reasoning, he should never take the way God would punish someone else for granted, because God could well say to someone who calls to the lord, I don't know know you at first but then change his mind 😊

My reading this morning took me into the book of Malachi—>The priesthood needs to be glorifying our Father by teaching His Word diligently and truthfully.

And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the LORD of hosts. My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name. The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity. For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.

the doctrines of predestination and election.

Yeah, satan teaches that God doesn't want everyone to be saved... in spite of evidence in scripture that proved this calvinist doctrine as being completely false.

Of course calvinists pick and choose what portions of God's Word they want to believe and ignore anything that doesn't fit in with their preconceived ideas as they always read in to scripture what they want it to say... rather than allowing the whole counsel of God to correct their faulty fake gospel. clueless-doh.gif

The Father sovereignly decided to make man in His own Image which is why all men have free will. He said in His Word than we are predestined to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ (Romans 8:29), and we are to be followers of God as dear children (Ephesians 5:1)

God's Word says man is without excuse (Romans 1:20), the grace that brings salvation has come upon all men (Titus 2:11-13)

God's Word says it's not God's will that any perish and He wants all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9), and He has commanded men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30), and has given every man faith (Romans 12:3)

Jesus said if He be lifted up He would draw all men until Himself (John 12:32), and Jesus has tasted of death for every man (Hebrews 2:9)

In light of all these scriptures, we can say for sure that limited atonement taught by John Calvin is false doctrine and is in opposition to what God says.

So... get ready to hear excuses from the dark side o0n why the scripture above should be ignored! coffee-smiley.gif

You've heard and excuse? How? When? Whose?

I've never experienced you listen to anything anyone else says at all. You might as well be talking to yourself because I've never seen you engage in a conversation and accurately represent the others argument at all. I could be wrong, I don't read all your comment, heck we may agree on some things, but the way you operate will prevent that from ever happening until you humble yourself some. You build straw men and attack them while completely brushing past what they are actually saying, then do this (like above the comment being replied to) and hide behind a wall of scripture you add no context to. Then spout some "Ready to hear the excuses" smart donkey response when everyone here knows you won't listen to a thing. Only teach from your infallible high horse. Just felt like pointing that out.

despite one or two doctrines that Christians can't agree upon with Calvinist, calvinist are truly devoted to the lord and believe with a sincere heart, but anyhow seeing as most of the tine your quotes are confrontational bordering on extremism I doubt you'll see that, because hypocrites like you can't see the plank in there own eye.

And that plank has been full of distasteful doctrines.

I view calvinism and Armin both as false teachings. Salvation is equal opportunity and equal privilege for ALL. He died for the whole world. And he did this as we were enemies. Much more, we will NEVER perish when He saves us.
