Revelation 22

18For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

Certainly Jesus and his disciples who penned Holy Scriptures are in agreement.
Since those were completed with the ending of Revelation, I think this applies too.
The Book of Revelation, only. Are you implying that this warning refers to the entire body of the Canon? Not every Book has Prophecy or unfulfilled Prophecy. Maybe, you only mean the Books with unfulfilled Prophecy in them?

Jesus warned against any who add or take away from what He completed.
Every time I turn on religious broadcasting there's some new Revelation. That's not from the Lord. Neither are the prophets and prophetesses of new pseudo Christian religions .

Our salvation is from sin, not in sin. Mat 1:21

Don't tell the OSAS peoples that... they get their feelings hurt easily when people don't agree with their doctrine that claims one is still saved even IF they continue in sin.

They will claim they don't believe that, but it's just double speak which is why most politicians are adherents to OSAS doctrine since they are skilled and gas lighting and double speak! cool-shocked.gif

Yes, there is a lot of that happening. And if you mean adding to by preaching and teaching what is not written, then Yes.

OSAS people live in your head rent free. Regardless of the explanation given, you continue to misrepresent the truth that is shared with you. Does continually bearing false witness constitute willful and ongoing sin?

I do not follow any specific teaching that I have been reading on these forums. But I am noticing a pattern. I will ask You, how many times have You been Saved?

Jimmy, have you repented of and confessed your daily sins yet today?

I thought he would do better now that his eyes were popped back in, but he still looks to be a characterization of himself.
He has quite an assortment of disturbing, devilish images on tap to share with us, also.

Do you think they are characterizations of him as well? Perhaps you have seen them? Like this:

Perhaps he is projecting when he uses these images. I certainly think the one with the beam coming out of his eye qualifies. Come to think of it, that may have been what was making his eyes bulge earlier. You might be on to something.

I have seen many of the images and emojis he shares, the eye/beam one and license to sin as well.

Speaking of which! Isn't it odd that Jimmy admits to sinning and needing to confess and repent regularly
while telling others that a lifestyle that includes recurring sin will cause one to lose their salvation?

He comes across as being adamantly anti-OSAS but then apparently behaves just like he says they do .:whistle::geek:

@JimmyTheLock Jimmy! Where have you gone, Jimmy???

JimmyTheLock has some splainin' to do. Maybe he's looking for an appropriate image since we're having trouble understanding his words.

Oh, no, I understand his words very well. His double-speak probably does not really baffle you either.

Though I am not waiting on any explanation from him. He runs away from facing these questions every time
I ask because he realizes he cannot answer in good faith, being that it would show his hypocrisy all too plainly.

  • nothing in scripture says the decalogue isn't part of the law
  • nothing in scripture says only the decalogue is the law
  • everything in scripture says that the Law is comprised of both the decalogue and every other judgment, command, ordinance and order given through Moses
  • nothing in scripture says some of the law can be deleted while other parts remain

it is a purely human tradition, albeit an ancient one, that seeks to divide the law of the Sinai covenant with Israel into pieces & ignore some but impose others on gentiles who have believed in Christ.
The Ten Commandments are its own standalone unit. God alone wrote and spoke the Ten Commandments with His own finger on stone for its eternal nature. After He wrote the Ten Commandments He added no more. Only the Ten were inside the ark of the covenant.

Deut 4:13 So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone.

What number do you see here? God said there were Ten Commandments in His covenant. I do not see any other number.

After God spoke these commandments He added no more- seems like we shouldn't either.

Deut 5: 22 “These words the Lord spoke to all your assembly, in the mountain from the midst of the fire, the cloud, and the thick darkness, with a loud voice; and He added no more. And He wrote them on two tablets of stone and gave them to me.

All other laws were handwritten by Moses on paper and were placed outside the ark of the covenant. There are very different laws that serve very different purposes.

The OT temple was patterned after God's heavenly Temple Hebrews 8:1-5 where lies the Ten Commandments Rev 11:19 under His mercy seat as it is what defines sin Romans 7:7 Mat 5:19-30 will be what we are judged by James 2:10-12 Mat 5:19-30 Ecc 12:13-14

How do you walk in faith and love?
I'll let the scripture speak for itself...

1 John 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

John 14:15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments.

Exodus 20:6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.

Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

Walking in love and faith to God is being in total submission to His will and having faith to obey what He asks, even if it doesn't always make sense because we love Him and want to do what He asks of us.

are you suggesting Moses came up with Leviticus on his own?
Not at all, God spoke the law of Moses to Moses, it is not the same as the Ten Commandments that God alone spoke and wrote they serve different purposes, it's not all one law.

the Christian is not under the Law no matter how many jots and tittles you presume to delete.

The Christian has died and their life is hid in Christ.
