Yeah Luke 4:16 does say according to his custom on the Sabbath he went to the Synagogue and read scripture. It also says the same for Paul and says the same according to his Paul's custom.

This custom, reading from the scriptures on Sabbath came to be the norm for Jews in the Babylonian captivity. Which it was still being kept by the Jews in the first century AD. Even after conversion as exampled by Paul.

Luke 4:16 places Christ in Nazareth when he kept the custom. 16And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

The gospels place him in the synagogue in Galilee as well as in them in Judea. Places him out in a field as well on the sabbath. Jesus kept the Sabbath I agree he kept the law. He also kept the law for where to worship and the synagogue was not the place.

In his encounter with the Samaritan woman she says we worship on this mount, you say we have to worship in Jerusalem. Christ replied back the hour is coming when you won't worship on the mount or in Jerusalem.

Reason I am bringing this up is according to the law at the time of Christ you could only worship God in the Temple in Jerusalem.

Deuteronomy 12:1-14 reads,

1These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.

2Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:

3And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.

4Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God.

5But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:

6And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks:

7And there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.

8Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.

9For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth you.

10But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety;

11Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD:

12And ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite that is within your gates; forasmuch as he hath no part nor inheritance with you.

13Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt offerings in every place that thou seest:

14But in the place which the LORD shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.

At the time of Christ the only one authorized place that Jews could worship God was in Jerusalem at the temple. What were their worship days it was their feasts days. When they brought a sacrifice or a offering. When they made a vow. Whatever reason would have brought them to the temple they would have worshiped then and there at that time whatever day of the week it was at the only authorized place.

Or in the case of Anna since she could not eat nor could she sleep she stayed in the temple and worshipped round the clock.

If Saturday the Sabbath was the day of worship then we should find Christ and his disciples there every Sabbath in Jerusalem at the temple on the Sabbath. Christ being under the law to fulfill the law. If the law was to worship on Saturday then we would read that is just what Christ did per Deuteronomy 12.

Now God has placed his name on us and we are his temple and we can worship him any day at any time because we are the authorized place and where two or more are gathered he is in the midst of us.

So yeah Christ kept the law the law was you work for six days and keep the Sabbath Holy by not working on it. It was not ordained as a day of worship for the Jews those days would be whatever day they found themselves in the temple the only place under the law authorized to worship God.
Can you please point to the scripture that says one can only worship on Sabbath in the temple in Jerusalem . Seems like you made a whole doctrine out of something not in scripture. When the apostles were planting churches they still kept the Sabbath even when there wasn’t a church built Acts 16:13. The Sabbath was kept at Creation in the garden I don’t recall any mention of a temple. Does God want His people in one flock and gathered together for worship like we will in heaven on the Sabbath Isa 66:22-23 He does, but nothing about it having it being in Jeresulm. He left that desolate for a reason, He ministers from a heavenly Temple now, not an earthy one and our bodies are a living temple which is why we need to keep it pure and away from sin.

Nor are you my judge and I also thank God for that. God's Word is clear: we are not to put ourselves back
under the law as a born again Christian, nor can you even 100% keep the law though you think you can.

Jesus is my Sabbath rest. Thank you Jesus!

Jesus is my Sabbath rest.
:)
Well you wont find one scripture that says Jesus is the Sabbath rest or a commandment or a day. Jesus is the Creator, not the creation. I guess thats why you artwork although pretty lacks a Text.

You will not find one commandment for Christians to keep the Sabbath in the NT either.

Good luck with your double standard.

What verse says anything about this?
Exodus 20:11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

Jesus said:
Mark 2:27 And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.

Man was made first on the sixth day in the image of God Gen 1:26 right before the very first Sabbath Genesis 2:1-3

That says nothing of Sabbath being kept in the garden. Try again.

I would be more concerned finding the commandment to stop. God’s commandments didn’t end in the NT if we believe the teachings of Jesus. Mat 15:3-9 Mat 5:19-30 Mat 19:17-19 John 14:15 John 15:10 Rev 22:14-15 There is none and why Jesus, the apostles and His faithful followers kept the Sabbath according to the commandment in the NT. Now you are simply being ridiculous. The Sabbath was always about what Jesus would do for us. You make it about yourself.

Hmmm, are you suggesting our first parents after they were created right before the first Sabbath that Jesus Said was made for them (man) rebelled against God on the first day. We have free will, but it’s not what I believe. They eventually listened to the other spirit instead of being faithful to God, but I do not believe they did that on the first Sabbath

Isn't that what you were implying when you wrote this?

"I believe it is quite insulting to God to take a day God made for work and labors and exalt it above the day He made holy, sanctified and blessed so He can spend time with us as we cannot sanctify ourselves, only God can. Ezekiel 20:12 He in His own Words tells us so.

Eze 22:26 Her priests have violated My law and profaned My holy things; they have not distinguished between the holy and unholy, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them.

Sunday worship came from the pagan tradition of sun worship in the third century. God calls that an abomination. Ezekiel 8:16-17 I believe the Sabbath is our test because it shows our loyalty to God the Creator and shows we are worshipping the One True God. Eze 20:20 the only God who has the power to Create and Sanctify the same God of Judgement Revelation 14:7 Just the Adam and Eve had a test in the Garden over a Tree. It's more than a day and its more than a tree, it is our allegiance and loyalty to God to obey Him the way He asked, not the way we want.

God is calling His people out of our false teachings Revelation 18:4 as we must worship Him in Truth and Spirit John 4:23-24 and Jesus in His own Word said when we keep traditions over obeying the commandments of God and quoted directly from the Ten Commandments, their heart is far from Him (opposite of the NC Heb 8:10) and one worships in vain."

Please just give the verse that says Sabbath was observed/kept in the garden as you postulated or simply
admit you have added to Scripture despite your many claims to go only by what God's Word actually says.

The Sabbath is a commandment of God Exo 20:8-11 not a commandment God gave Himself to do something for us. We are to obey God the way He asks, not the way we want, its why we are in this mess in the first place, our will over God’s.

So Adam and Eve rebelled against God on something that was made for them- the Sabbath is made for man. The greek word here means mankind. So when God hallowed the Sabbath Adam and Eve said no thanks, is that what you believe?

God’s Sabbath will never end, it started from the beginning and will be for eternity Isa 66:22-23 and can’t help but wonder those who don’t want to keep Sabbath worship now, will they be happy in heaven where it continues forever.

Jesus never broke the Sabbath- healing on the Sabbath is not secular work. Jesus broke the sabbath of the Pharisees, not the Sabbath in the 4th commandment which is not the same. This is what the Pharisees accused Jesus of as well breaking the Sabbath and not being God. This is what Jesus said about them…

John 8:46 Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? 47 He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.”

Need to run, take care and God bless.

I never said that Jesus broke the Sabbath. Obviously your understanding of the
Sabbath is as flawed as those who accused Jesus of doing so. Bye for now.

Why don’t you share what you have in mind. I’m interested in hearing it.
Your overarching message is tied to the keeping of the law. But the message of the Bible isn't the law. The message of the Bible is about what God has done to reconcile sinful people to Himself.
The law does play a role in accomplishing this. But it is only a role...not the goal. And its fulfillment of this role actually leads us away from it and to Christ. This in no way diminishes the law itself. The problem is sinful flesh.
There are some incredible things that transpire in salvation. And there is a way to live free of sin. We become alive spiritually, but we retain our sinful flesh. This means we are not put back into the estate Adam began in. He had no propensity towards sin. So the law itself will continue to do as it did in our flesh before we were saved; that is, according to Romans 7, it will stir up in us the motions of sin. It creates in us a desire for sin.
Had God taken this propensity for sin away we would be again as Adam. The reason He didn't is because eventually we too would fall into sin. Instead, He made us partakers of the divine nature. Rather than have us begin afresh under a failed paradigm, He gave us a paradigm that cannot fail. God has taken upon Himself the task of keeping the law in and through us. We have no need to focus on the law. We need only respond to the leading of the Spirit. He can only lead us according to the law. This is where our focus should be...seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness.
The focus on our part on the keeping of the law will only serve to cause us to desire sin. But the focus on the Spirit who focuses on the law for us will produce life in us.

How could Adam sin if he had no propensity towards sin?

He was a natural man.

I need to go for a little walk. I'll be back!

:D
He chose to sin, but did not have the motions of sin as described in Romans 7 at work in him until after the fall.
