That's serious power to be shaping opinions with that much money.
Cuba and Canada and USA has hair sniffing joe.

Take heart! As long as we are in Christ, none of this will influence us. To God, all the money is being wasted trying to get the ungodly on board the one=world government. We all know it will only last for an embarrassingly very short time.

Much of that "money" is the U.S. $ fiat currency that may soon be halved

My local church turned in their hymn books the other day, they had to turn over everything that belonged to the united methodist. another church in a town near me left and another church split with alot of the congregation forming another church

I have heard that about the Methodist church, if they close the church gets the property.
I know of churches who had real dorks for the pulpit, the local leaders go to get it resolved and the same person is reappointed.

The apostasy is here, that has been the biggest factor in 2023, not just the Methodists but everywhere we look there is a departure from the word of God.

I think a lot of churches are just trying to weather the gay storm and hope that the fad will subside once they've found some new weird deviation from the norm to capture the young people's attention.

I've commented on this topic in other threads. But, I haven't done it too much because my thoughts on it are few.

a) It's a shame that it's come to this...

b) It's good however that it's happening.

Truth is being revealed. The damaged and stained is being separated from that which is trying to remain pure. Good.

Still praying for a new great awakening period. That might fix some of this.

Churches are embracing sodomites and hating on Bible believers who don't want them molesting their little boys who attend other churches. You'll find that group here at the forums too.
They like to virtue signal like the Sadducees about how they love them.
Then they can't just leave it at that.
They try to threaten you into celebrating their cause.
I have yet to read of one of them sharing the gospel with those who are out of the closet though.

Correct. There is no end to the intimidation by all the evildoers today. Well guess what. Christianity Today -- which was presumably for Bible-believing Christians at one time -- now wants believers to go along with "preferred pronouns" even though transgenderism is basically demonic. This publication has been catering to unbelievers for a while. This is a part of the decline of Christendom. I believe God has already sent "strong delusion" upon this earth.

That's for sure.
The Bible says that they are implacable.
The libtard churches embrace them.
Formerly Bible believing churches try to placate them (the new "virtue").

I was interviewed for a position to help a church going through a transition.
Strange thing is that the former pastor refused to "marry " the decon's son and boyfriend. I don't know if the guy was going through a transition, but the church did. It used to be a fundamental Baptist church of all things. Glad they are independent and haven't gone that way altogether like a denomination. Some are beyond ridiculous though.

The first UM pastor I ever met was named Mormon funny enough. As a young HS student his son was in one of my extracurricular groups. I was invited to dinner. As we sat down to dinner and conversation came up about religion, I made the " mistake" of mentioning the Jehovah's Witnesses coming to my house. I mentioned about keeping God's Word by sending them on their way. I guess the pastor was very interdenominational ecumenical because he went on and on lambasting me for doing that . I still find "christians" who insist on others violating God's Word by welcoming those with a false gospel into their home or not "being christlike" because they falsely think Jesus was a mousey doormat.

Anyhow, the pastor's one daughter had a very bad reputation for being a slut. His son, my former classmate, turned into a Christ hating atheist. I visited another UM Church with another friend and they baptized a baby and taught a false gospel.
The more I learn about the denomination, the more I wonder what all of the fuss is about it's potential split?
Shouldn't the membership turn from their false religion, get saved and walk with the Lord by joining a Bible believing church?

Well. They used to actually be very spiritual. The Pentacostal movement was originally in the Methodist church. They were called the shouting Methodist and had a very strict moral and dress code. To see how far they have fallen from being spiritual leaders is sobering.
