Hey, Soyeong...
To my understanding:
The law of the Spirit of life has made me free from the law of sin and death.
The first testament is the law of sin and death because transgression of the commandments bring the curse of death. The first testament is superseded by the New Testament because no one from the tribe of Judah can be a High Priest under the OT law. Sin and the curse of death is now removed by faith in the blood of Jesus unto salvation.

This doesn't mean an end of the commandments of God, but like the office of the High Priest, they've been changed. No longer does the Lord's commandments deal with just our outward acts, but now they are being applied by Spirit illuminated scriptures to deal with our inward motive too. This can be seen in NT scripture: thou shall not murder is changed to if you hate your brother, you are a murderer. Thou shalt not commit adultery is changed to if you lust after another, you've committed adultery in your heart. No more is it eye for a eye, tooth for a tooth, and life for a life, but rather we're to turn our check 70 times 7 times. We who are indwelt by the Spirit are being taught a higher standard than that contained in the law as revealed by Jesus our eternal High Priest's example.

Once I attain to spiritual maturity, I become able to walk after the Spirit and deny the lusts of the flesh. An indicator of this actually occurring is a joy unspeakable and full of glory attitude. This is accomplished by the Holy Spirit who speaks not of his own, but by making the scripture we read and study to be Jesus speaking to us, Spirit to spirit; who fulfils the promise of the new testament by using scripture to write the Lord's commandments into our hearts and minds; and by using scripture to increase the faith that was authored by Jesus when we were born again.

Once we're born of the Spirit, we become holy with the Lord's own holiness by the Holy Spirit's presence and like Jesus, we can do good works on the sabbath and on every other day of the week, we can worship the Lord in Spirit and in truth on the sabbath and on every other day of the week. By the Spirit's indwelling, a greater than the sabbath is here. Even so, the sabbath will always be on the seventh day of the week and holy unto the Lord; but now, in Christ, every day of the week is also holy unto the Lord.

I agree with most of what you posted but not the last part. You need to show me scripture where God changed the meaning of the Commandments. You are right about it being okay to do good works on the Sabbath, such as a Doctor, Nurse, Policeman, Fireman and such, but the commandment still stand to keep THE Sabbath holly. Not choose a day. God rested one day out of the week and that is the 7th day Sabbath. Do you really think that God has changed the day he rests even now. No way, God still holds the Sabbath rest. Show me one scripture that Jesus worked on the Sabbath that wasn't of good works. Jesus kept the Sabbath as well as all of his disciples. The Sabbath is mentioned 60 times and observed in the NT.

Once we're born of the Spirit, we become holy with the Lord's own holiness by the Holy Spirit's presence and like Jesus, we can do good works on the sabbath and on every other day of the week, we can worship the Lord in Spirit and in truth on the sabbath and on every other day of the week. Yes we should love and worship Jesus every day. We should strive for the Fullness of His Spirit at all times but God said "Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy." No other day is made holy and we are not asked to remember any other day.
God said it and people are say it doesn't matter, it isn't important, just keep any day, God wont mind which day. But is it important to God? We don't earn salvation and buy our tickets to heaven but we obey because we delight in doing Gods will.
God must think it is important, look at the past and Israel, when they disobeyed God it resulted in disaster.
God made the 7th day holy and has not changed that. The devil loves to see us dissobey the commands of God and what better way then to trick the world into thinking that commandment is made void.

Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Rom 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Rom 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. ....12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Jas 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. 11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. 12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

It does matter.. People are quick to say 9 of the 10 apply today but the one that God said remember is the one people are saying forget,, don't worry about that one commandment,, that one doesn't matter, that commandment can be kept any day or every day. But the God of creation was specific and clear about which day was made holy.
Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

How come you keep avoiding responsibility? Do you know the Bible?

It's really simple: just demonstrate from within Exodus that the ten commandments are not part of the Law of Moses. That's it; just answer the one challenge with Scripture to back up your opinion.
The next time you want to try a playground tactic with me, know that I will not be so nice.
"because Abraham obeyed my voice and kept my charge, my commandments, and my laws." (Genesis 26:5) OT
"Yet the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not follow My statutes and they rejected My ordinances" (Ezekiel 20:13) OT
*Joseph knew it was a sin to Commet adultery. (Gen 39:9) OT
"In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” (2 Cor 4:4) OT
"15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;
16 In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments...," (Deuteronomy 30:15-20) OT
"And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them." (Ezekiel 36:27)
there are more.

Now don't just respond to these answers above, but as I answered your question answer mine.
Q: just explain the existence of the Ten Commandments and the Sabbath in the NT?
Blessings, Danny

Oh no, I'm scared. LOL
I understand your question, Exodus is when God wrote and gave the Ten Commandments to Moses. Answer me this, was Moses keeping any Laws observances, sacrifices, moral laws, did he pray, did he keep the Sabbath or Sunday before He received the written commandments of God? The Commandments of God existed before Moses ever received them, if not what Laws did, they live by?
The Law of Mosses had to do with the Laws coming from the first 5 books of the Hebrew Bible called the Torah.
from the 2nd through the 5th books of the Torah there are 600+ commandments and regulations "the law of Moses" this is on top of the Ten Commandments given by God. We still obey the Ten commandments because they are all moral laws, but we are no longer under all the commandments and regulations that they had to observe before Christ became our sacrificial lamb. So, it did away with the old Mosaic Laws and kept Gods Laws in affect.

I'll pray for you, Blessings Danny

Christ's law supersedes the law of Moses in that not only does it command not to murder another but that one is to love even their enemies, so it seems reasonable to me that not only should one rest on the seventh day, and trust God for His provision, but every day.

And I'm sure if I looked up the Sabbath, I am certain that EHG White and her teaching will be among that which is retrieved. Going by the pictures provided. I judged her countenance to be a bit, I don't know, off, or rather 'put on'. She struck me as a bit of a poser, a who's who among posers of course, but a poser, nonetheless.
BibleTools.org has many articles on the subject (Sabbath) by many different authors and is a Christian based website.
We should worship God every day of the week, but 6 day we should labor and rest on the Sabbath. I'm pretty sure that's in the bible.
I Love everyone, even those that do not agree with me. We all have our own believes, our own ideas.
I really don't want to offend anyone, just want to maybe help someone that isn't sure what to believe, maybe they will see things my way maybe not.

Blessings, Danny

2 Kings 21:8 Neither will I make the feet of Israel move any more out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them and according to all the law that my servant Moses commanded them.
Deuteronomy 4:13, 14 And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone. And the Lord commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go over to possess it.
Dan 9:11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.

Once more we see “thy law” and “the law of Moses,” and this time the two are recognized as different in content. There are no curses recorded in the Ten Commandments that God wrote, but the law which Moses wrote contained an abundance of such curses and judgments.

The major point of difference between the law of God and the law of Moses, though, lies in the way they were recorded and preserved. We have already cited Moses’ statement that God “wrote them (the Ten Commandments) upon two tables of stone” (Deuteronomy 4:13). Compare that with Exodus 31:18, “two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.”

No one can confuse this writing with the way the mosaic law was produced. “And Moses wrote this law ... And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished, That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying, Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee” (Deuteronomy 31:9, 24-26). This book of statutes and judgments which Moses wrote in a book was placed in a pocket on the side of the ark. In contrast, the law written by God on tables of stone was placed inside the ark of the covenant. “And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee” (Exodus 25:16).

We can note several distinctions in the two laws. They had different authors(writers), were written on different material, were placed in different locations, and had totally different content.

2 Corinthians 4:4
"In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."
What does spellcheck have to do with the message? If you have a point of view post it otherwise keep your commentary to yourself.
"He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his Commandments, is a liar and the truth is not in him" (1 John 2:4)
" And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men." (Matt 15:9)
2 Corinthians 4:3 - But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

The gospel is the "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16) To "believe" the gospel is to trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-SUFFICIENT means of our salvation.

The gospel is a message of grace to be received through faith. (Acts 15:7-9; 20:24; 26:18; Romans 3:24-28; 11:6; Ephesians 2:8,9 etc..) The gospel is not a set of rituals to perform, a code of laws to be obeyed or a check list of good works to accomplish as a prerequisite for salvation. 1 Corinthians 1:21 - For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who BELIEVE.

Believers "keep" (Greek word "tereo" - guard, observe, watch over) the commandments because we know Him. 1 John 2:3 - By this we know that we have come to know Him, (already know Him/already saved/demonstrative evidence) if we "keep" (Greek word "tereo" - guard, observe, watch over) His commandments. (This is descriptive of genuine believers) 4 The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep (guard, observe, watch over) His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (That is descriptive of unbelievers)

Strong's Greek: 5083. τηρέω (téreó) -- to watch over, to guard (biblehub.com)

John 17:3 - And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent (which is an intimate, experiential knowledge, found only in a relationship). The term "know" implies intimate, experiential knowledge, through a relationship with Him and not merely theoretical knowledge.

John is not talking about sinless, perfect obedience to the 10 commandments under the old covenant of law in 1 John 2:3. Only Jesus Christ has flawlessly obeyed the 10 commandments under the old covenant of law. Do you define "keep" His commandments in 1 John 2:3 as flawlessly obey the 10 commandments and do you believe that is the basis or means by which you will receive eternal life?

Since the old covenant has been made obsolete, does this leave us with no moral direction? Absolutely not. God made obsolete the old covenant to legally put into place the new covenant. (2 Corinthians 3:6-9; Hebrews 8:6-13) The life of discipleship flows out of the new command, to love one another as He loved us (John 13:34), which Paul refers to as the "law of Christ." (Galatians 6:2) Love fulfills the law (Romans 13:8-10) and out of this single command comes other commands, including references for the moral aspect of 9 of the 10 commandments which are reiterated under the new covenant, yet the command to keep the sabbath day is not binding on Christians under the new covenant.

1. You shall have no other gods before Me. - Acts 14:15
2. You shall make no idols. - 1 John 5:21
3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. - 1 Timothy 6:1; James 2:7; James 5:12
4. Keep the sabbath day holy. - Not binding on the Church - Colossians 2:16-17
5. Honor your father and your mother. - Ephesians 6:1-2
6. You shall not murder. - Romans 13:9-10; 1 John 3:15
7. You shall not commit adultery. - Romans 13:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
8. You shall not steal. - Romans 13:9-10; Ephesians 4:28
9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. - Romans 13:9-10; Colossians 3:9-10
10. You shall not covet. - Romans 13:9-10; Ephesians 5:3

2 Corinthians 3:6 - who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 7 But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, 8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? 9 For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.

The law on our heart and mind is the love of the Spirit, not the law of the letter. This is why Paul tells us that the new covenant is a covenant of the Spirit, and not of the letter.

Wow, should I say that you should be an atheist because you don't believe the same things I do?
Straw man argument.

I am not judging you; I just don't believe in the same things you believe in.
Don't dare label me!
I am a Christian.
I believe in the one true God.
I believe in my lord and Savior Jesus Christ
I have been saved and baptized.
I would actually lean more towards the 7th day Baptist.
I do believe the Ten Commandments are relevant.
I do believe in the Sabbath and Not Sunday Worship.
I do believe that Sunday worship is a counterfeit, a golden calf.
I know the history of how we got Sunday worship.
I do not believe Christ was resurrected Sunday morning but on the 7th day of the week in the evening just before sunset.
I do not believe Jesus was born Dec 25 or in Christmas, it is a Pagen holiday.
So, I do not believe in most Pagen holidays. I believe they go against scripture.
I have nothing against you, on the contrary I love you as God has commanded me too.
I try to be a good Christian, and obey God the best I can, remembering that even our best isn't good enough, but through Gods love and grace I am forgiven of my shortcomings.

Blessings, Danny
Exactly how did God forgive you? Please explain to me how you became a Christian. How do you answer the question, "what must I do to be saved?" (Acts 16:30-31) Worshipping the Lord on Sunday, commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ is a golden calf? Really? o_O SDA's refer to Sunday worship as the mark of the beast. Red flag!

Bible Truth Versus Adventist Truth - Mark of the Beast (nonsda.org)

Now of course, our best isn't good enough (Romans 3:23) which is why we need a Savior. (Romans 6:23) We are saved by grace through faith and not by works. (Ephesians 2:8,9) We are not saved by grace plus law, faith plus works (Galatians 2:16; Philippians 3:9) as SDA's teach. I was once in a discussion with a former member of Christian Chat who was a SDA and he once made this statement to me below in blue which confirms grace plus law, faith plus works.

The counterfeit Gospel is out there. What is the other Gospel? It is a Gospel that tries to separate God's Law (10 commandments) from the Cross. It is a Gospel that tries to separate God's 10 commandments from the plan of salvation. God’s Law has always been part of the true Gospel of Christ. The counterfeit Gospel does not have it. God's forever Law (the 10 commandments) is the foundation of both the Old and the New Covenant and the very foundation and basis of the true Gospel of Christ. (Galatians 1:6-9)

Do you agree with that statement made by the SDA above in blue?

Look up (rest) as it refers to scripture. The word rest means Sabbath Keeping you know the 7th day of the week.
Yes, Sabbath rest is Sabbath keeping. Those who say Jesus is the Sabbath is reducing Him down to the creation- a day/commandment when He is the Creator.

Colossians 2:14-17 and Romans 14 is not referring to the weekly Sabbath commandment that was written personally by the finger of God- no greater Authority than He!

There is more than one Sabbath in scripture. The weekly Sabbath which is a commandment of God- finger written personally by God and no man has authority to countermand. The annual sabbath(s) feast days that came after sin has to do with food and drink offerings that were an ordinance handwritten by Moses.

Paul made it clear, the sabbath(s) he was referring to the ordinances handwritten by Moses which the context is in verse Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

The Sabbath is a commandment of God, not a suggestion, finger written personally by our Lord and Savior that is holy and blessed (not the definition of contrary or against)and God said "Remember" because He knew everyone would forget. Once God blesses something as He did the Sabbath day, man cannot reverse. Num 23:20

The seventh day Sabbath is not a shadow of anything because it started at Creation- Gen 2:1-3 Exo 20:11God's perfect plan before the fall of man. The annual sabbath(s) called holy days that were ordinances Exo 12:43 Num 9:12 added after the fall of man that had to do with food and drink offerings Heb 9:10 Num 29:21 Num 29:24, the context of this passage, that were handwritten by Moses 1 Chro 33:8 that all was a placeholder until Jesus came 1 Cor 5:7 Cor 2:17 Heb 10:1-22 as the blood of animals made nothing perfect but the blood of Christ can cleanse us of all sin and unrighteousness.

Rom 14:15 is referring to opinions of man, not what day God esteems over all others- the Sabbath is My holy day, the seventh day is the Sabbath Exo 20:10 Isa 58:13 which is why Romans 14 never once mentions the Sabbath. Man adds it there because that's their will, not God's. Romans 14:15 correlates with Col 2:14-17 and if one wanted to read Romans 14 in context you would see it is about food and drink, judging and opinions of man- not opinions of God. There is nothing in all the Ten Commandments that is about food or drink offerings.

I have nothing against you, on the contrary I love you as God has commanded me too.
I try to be a good Christian, and obey God the best I can, remembering that even our best isn't good enough, but through Gods love and grace I am forgiven of my shortcomings.

Blessings, Danny
You did not answer his question.

Why do you think you will go to heaven "what must we do?"

What makes you think you will? By the grace of God are we saved. Those that are saved, those that have asked for forgiveness of their sins and accepted Jesus as their savor. That by no means says that we can dishonor Him by not following his Commandments. If you are saved, they should be imbedded in your heart and mind.

It is really simple, just explain the existence of the Ten Commandments and the Sabbath in the NT?
Thats it, just answer that one question with scripture to back up you opinion.
There is no command to observe the Sabbath day in the NT.

Sure there is- Jesus said not to break or teach others to break the least of these commandments - quoting directly from the Ten Mat 5:19-30 and when we keep our rules/traditions over the commandments of God again quoting directly from the Ten- our hearts are far from Him Mat 15:3-14 Mark 7:7-13 (opposite of the New Covenant- God's law in our heart Heb 8:10) and said we are to live by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God Mat 4:4 The Sabbath is a commandment of God, spoken personally by God, written personally by God's own finger and God doesn't make mistakes, we do. Everyone we are to follow kept the Sabbath- God, Jesus and the apostles- sounds like good company to be in.

Sabbath keeping is not given as a commandment in the NT, no matter how hard you try to insert it.

The Sabbath rest pointed forward to the rest we find in Jesus Christ, who worked
on the Sabbath and said His Father continued to work on the Sabbath also.

Sabbatarians can be so relentless and myopic in their pushing of this day that we had one
telling us we were breaking the law to worship God on any other day. How ridiculous is that?
