Do you believe Christians who do not keep Saturday sabbath are going to hell?
Why would he keep making such a big deal about keeping the sabbath day if he believed otherwise? He seems to be absolutely obsessed with it. An elderly man on my mail route who attends the Worldwide church of God (Armstrongism) believes that Christians who do not keep Saturday sabbath are going to hell. He even warned me once that I need to tell my employer I cannot work on Saturday because it's the sabbath day and if I continue to work on Saturday then my salvation will be in jeopardy. Seventh-day Adventists teach that the near the end of time the "mark of the best" of Revelation 14 will be placed upon those who worship on Sunday instead of Saturday.

Bible Truth Versus SDA Doctrine - Mark of the Beast (nonsda.org)

It would appear that certain Sabbatarians take sabbath keeping to the extreme and turn it into a 'legalistic prescription' for salvation. I'm curious to see if dlj57 actually gives you a direct answer of either YES or NO to your direct question. My answer to your question is NO.

The Ten Commandments have been with God from Creation and will be with us on the New Earth "... and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship me, saith the Lord." (Isaiah 66:23) Moses did not write the ten Commandments; they were given to him by God. The Ten Commandments are not part of the Law of Moses or any part of the old Mosaic Law. "Do not think that I come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them" (Matt 5:17) The Sabbath is mentioned 60 times in the NT alone and all have to do with the 7th day Sabbath but on which refences an annual Sabbath. God made the Sabbath for all mankind (Mark 2:27). Jesus kept it (Luke 4:16), Paul kept it (Acts 17:2), and Gentiles kept it (Acts 13:42-44; 16:13) Several of the Ten Commandments are mentioned throughout the New Testament. God only set one day apart from the rest and blessed it, sanctified it and blessed it and that would be the 7th day of the week not the first.
you do know that commandment says remember the Sabbath by keeping it holy.

I take it you know you can not keep the Sabbath.

The sabbath is not ours to keep.

The lord keeps it.

We can not make something holy that is not ours to keeps, because the keeper of the sabbath is the father.

The son in us makes it holy.

We don't make it holy Jesus does.

I take it you know this.

In the old the testament they had to keep it holy to the best they could on the outer expression.

It's now kept holy by Jesus in you.

I take it you understand this. 😊

Even today good works are permitted, a Doctor, Nurse, Policemen, Firemen etc... but unless you must work (doing a good service) you should observe the Sabbath.
Where is the Scripture that defines which jobs are “good” and which aren’t?

It's also a Jewish Judaism perspective they will spend time in judgment before they pass to the promised land 😊 meaning they be judged even tho they have been Good.

They also believe they will take there Good deeds with them to the place of Judgement before they get taken up.

But what they actually mean by that is they will be Judged according to there Good deeds not there bad deeds.

I'm sure I have there perspective right.

But I could be wrong

The Sabbath is a period or time that God blessed at creation, prior to sin and before the nation of Israel existed. Man is warned not to pollute the Sabbath.

Rewards for Obedience to God
1 ¶ Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
8 The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

That’s the perfect question.

Sabbath rest is about laying down our own work, and doing the work of the father. Did Jesus ever do his own work? Or did he only do the work of the father? The answer is obvious. He only did the work of his father. He did this work every day of the week. He was the epitome of Sabbath rest. That is why we are told to enter it as long as the day is called today.

The way this looks for believers today is that no matter in what field they work, they do the will of the father. Because of the father’s love for the son, He has obligated himself to provide for the son in every way. So the reason we work is not for our provision, it is to put on display the character of our Father.

In the last days, not obeying the Sabbath is the mark of the beast.
That's hilarious... in a sad way, they you believe you are saved by your works and you're clueless concerning s smile-grin12.gif

If you follow the Spirit of God, you bear the fruit of the Spirit.
GOD is one, you said the Son Jesus is keeping it in us because it is holy, it must be Gods will, it must be good and right.
We can walk in the Spirit of God, we can follow the Sabbath law by the Spirit in us.

If we walk in the Spirit we will also walk like Christ.

Luk 1:6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

These people did and we can too.

Walking in the commandments is possible because the Spirit is in us.

2Co 6:14-17
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

What agreement has obedience to the Holy Sabbath and obedience with the man made day of the Sun, which is dosobedience.

If the Sabbath is Holy then let God dwell in you and obey Him.

Study history please..

The church that came out of the Catholic church, the protestant reformation was based on 2 main points.

Sola scripture and righteousness by faith alone.

I believe in obedience but I also believe in righteousness by faith..

The Bible supports this.

Because Jesus has paid it all and gifted His righteousness does not mean we should be disobedient and disobey the commands of God.

Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Rom 6:12-16
12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. 13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Joh 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

thanks I will study history 😂

But I have the above all scripture

And I heard a voice from Heaven, saying unto me, “Write: ’Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth.’” “Yea,” saith the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works do follow them.”

Awesome.
1 Corinthians 10:31...Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

The word rest as referred to in scripture literally means Sabbath Keeping
We are to labor for six days and rest on the 7th day Sabbath.
Q: where did Sunday and Sunday worship come from?
Q: why are the Ten Commandments repeated throughout the NT?
Q: Why is the Sabbath mentioned and observed 60 times in the NT?

Just because a Catholic source mentions an issue doesn’t mean the Catholics initiated it.
Sun worship was a characteristic of all pagan cultures, the “church fathers” saw the benefits of compromise with pagan worshippers as a handy evangelism tool.
