I agree with much of what you've said. If I understand you correctly, where we differ is in the idea that everyone receives the Holy Ghost upon obedience to water baptism in the name of Jesus. I could accept the position if not for scripture that reveals the order in which the essential elements occur differs.

Some individuals received the Holy Ghost before obedience to water baptism. (Acts 10:43-48) While others waited for days after belief and obedience to the command. (Acts 8:12-17) Also noted in Acts 19:1-6, the 12 Ephesians were indwelt by the Holy Ghost when Paul laid hands on them after they believe in Jesus and he rebaptized them in water in the name of the Lord.

Another aspect concerning receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost is mentioned by Jesus in Luke 11:13. He said God will give the Holy Ghost to those who ask. Of course, it is possible that God's answer will come in the form of His leading them to hear the true gospel message.

Notice Peter said those who repent and are baptized in the name of Jesus shall receive the Holy Ghost. Even in light of the scriptures referenced there really is no conflict. All of the accounts provide evidence that the individuals were willing to repent and be water baptized in the name of Jesus.

A while back I prayed about why the sequence would differ. Let me say at the onset that what I am about to share is what I believe was an answer to that prayer. I believe the conversion account of the Samaritans served God's purposes in a number of ways. Consider that Peter was given the keys to the kingdom. As such, it was necessary for him to play a part in the Samaritans rebirth experience. And as for John, it was he who asked Jesus' permission to call down fire from Heaven to destroy those of Samaria who previously rejected Jesus. (Luke 9:52-56) Wow. How powerful was the message directed at John. God actually used John to call down fire from Heaven. But that fire was the gift of the Holy Ghost that brought life not death to the Samaritans.

As for the Gentiles. It is plausible that Peter would have faltered at the idea of water baptizing Gentiles. What prompted this conclusion? Notice Peter's statement that he could not withstand God AFTER seeing the Gentiles filled with the Holy Ghost. (Acts 11:17-18) What was Peter talking about? The answer is seen in what Peter did AFTER the Holy Ghost was given; he commanded the people to be baptized in water in the name of the Lord Jesus. Note the Jews response, "When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life." (Acts 11:18)
“that everyone receives the Holy Ghost upon obedience to water baptism in the name of Jesus.”

Thats not my position no , my position is when we actually hear the gospel he sent into the world and believe and then get baptized we will receive his promise of the spirit .

what my point was is much simpler

John the Baptist baptized Jesus watch what happens when he does when Jesus arrives look at what happened

“And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, ( fulfillment of prophecy ) and was baptized of John in Jordan. And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:

and there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:9-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus gets baptized when he comes up out of the water he receives the spirit ,
aand he hears Gods voice proclaiming “ this is my son in whom I am well pleased “

now look at baptism after Jesus ascended to heavens throne and sent his Holy Spirit to the church and what Peter says will happen

“This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,

and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.( that’s what happened when Jesus was baptized but no one else until now ) For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:32-33, 38-

what I’m saying is baptism wasnt actually complete before Jesus ascended to heavens throne and sent his spirit at that point baotism became like his we receive the spirit and it is said that we are Gods children in whom he is well pleased because our sins have been remitted in Christs death and resurrection

were partaking in the only real baptism the same one Jesus partook of water and spirit and when we do that we hear the same voice calling us his children in Christ

“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. ( this is my son in whom I am well pleased )

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:26-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

But those baptized before Jesus was glorified only received the promise of remission nothing mattered until he shed his blood of remission. Water spirit and blood are three elements of baptism For remission of sins

jesus shed his blood we hear and believe and respond and receive his promise

Some individuals received the Holy Ghost before obedience to water baptism.

ayes agreed brother and then Peter immediately commands water baptism when they do. It’s th e first thing he argues to the Jews and then commands to the gentiles

“While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:44-48‬ ‭KJV‬‬

you have to hear the gospel first and then you’ll receive the spirit if you believe him

baptism is for repentance and remission of our sins because we believe Jesus died for them. Only someone who hears about baptism will get baptized lol it’s simple if Jesus never said “ believe and get baptized “ no one would ever get baptized or if the. I ke didn’t say it’s for repentance and remission of sins No one would think it was and bother doing it …..

a bekievers are whomis going to get baptized but it’s because they believe Jesus is the son of God who died for thier sins and was raised up forever and he said to don it and be saved

someone who didn’t hear that and believe it it becomes irrelevant to baptism is a simple act of faith when we hear about if form the lord . He actually never says “ if you believe the gospel and can’t or don’t get baptized now your damned forever “

It’s a matter of faith believing what we heard some do and some don’t believe this word

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,

and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:38-41‬ ‭KJV‬

Some did believe what he said others didn’t my position on baptism is we should Just hear what jesus said about it and his apostles taught about it because of we do enever have to even discuss “ do we really need to get baptized ?” It’s like saying “ do we really need to believe what jesus said ? “

If we just as a church in the world stert learning what he said about life and death about God about us about communion or baptism or repentance

and if we started to just believe him baptism will become a gift from God for sinners who feel repentance in them for thier sins and want a new beginning….it’s a testimony to the one who obeys because he believes I’m not saying it’s a stringent rule that will disqualify anyone from being saved

One sinless man In history was baptized ……then every sinner needs to be baptized in his name ……and receive his spirit

“Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.”
‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭18:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:3‬ ‭

“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: ( all sinners must die , we don’t have to die in our sins we can have them Remitted in his death for our sins )

that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin,

but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.”( who’s name we’re baptized into )
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:3-7, 11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Scripture reveals the gospel message was to be preached to the Jew first. Meaning what was preached would not stop there.

The gospel is first presented to full-fledged Jews and proselytes. (Acts 2:2-38)
It's then carried to Samaritans who were half Jewish and half Gentile. (Acts 8:12-17)
Afterward Philip presented it to the eunuch who many believe was a Gentile proselyte. (one converted to Judaism) (Acts 8:26-38)

As shown the gospel was presented to all those who were Jewish, or in some way affiliated with the Jewish nation before God allowed the same gospel to be carried to the Gentiles. (Acts 10:43-48)

Even the Apostle Paul who accepted the baton from Peter and continued the task of bringing the gospel to the Gentiles indicated his mission was to the Jew first. This proves that whether Jew or Gentile the gospel message was the same:

Believe in Jesus. Repent, turn from sin and to God by being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin, and you will receive the Holy Ghost. It is a promise!
Amen! "Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

Now I was saved baptized yet I asked as the Father said through Christ Luke 11:13, and "have you received the holy spirit since you believe". Then Peter you shall receive the "gift" of the holy Spirit. The 120 did they not already have the holy Spirit as some believe yet waited for that promise. What happen to them is what happens to us when we ask for that promise. Sorry not trying to make this into something else or derail forgive me.

Yeah the Jewish people failed in taking His word to the world OT. Then rejected Him yet it was Jewish people at the start that took His word now around the world PRAISE GOD GLORY TO JESUS.
