Seriously, there is no harm in recognizing the cultural, racial differences between our Citizens. God created the different peoples of the world. If He wanted all to be "one race/culture" He certainly could have created them that way. He certainly wants the different peoples to become "one people" as part of the "One Church," but, that does not exclude various peoples of various cultures/races from being part of the "One Church,"

We, as Americans, celebrate various Holidays honoring some of the Founding Fathers, and our Independence from England, our Veterans, our love for one another(Valentines), our thankfulness for the blessings we have received(Thanksgiving). All of these, in one way or the other are divisive, and then they should all be done away with, right?

I remember when the "push" to remove all Civil War Era/Confederate Statues was going on. Some here believed they should not be removed. Certainly we can agree that such Statues are divisive in their own way......

We celebrate an Italian sailor who discovered the West Indies/Central America as being responsible for discovering North America. Even though we know perfectly over six milliion people already lived here. Goodness, but it's the celebration of Black History that irks folks?

We celebrate the Italian sailor because of what he did, not because he was Italian. We celebrate Christmas because it's GOD, and people of all races celebrate that day. We celebrate our founding fathers, Independence Day, and Thanksgiving, and they all have nothing to do with race. Those days honor what people accomplished, and what God gave us. In none of your examples does race matter one iota.

As long as we "celebrate" racial differences, or highlight them, we are being racist, however benign our intentions may be. We make ourselves hyper-aware of skin color rather than what the person(s) achieved. That latter qualification can and should be celebrated regardless of where the individual's ancestors were born.

George had been born a free man his wife was not. George had been preaching to the slave populations in various locations with a strong bent towards the 10 commandments....teaching often that they shouldn't lie or steal and was highly successful in starting churches among the slaves. (Georgia).
However, there was a civil war afoot....and since the Colonists wanted to enslave George he decided that he and his family needed to run. So they caught a ride with the retreating British troops and got deposited in Jamaica. Where he began preaching the gospel once again and founded 100+ more churches.

Contrasted with Adoniram Judson (Baptist) who for decades had been claimed to be the first....an abject failure of a missionary who lost his wife due to illness and had one convert only and his faith was rather poor at that.

If you read the comments, you will see that there are those that are supporting doing away with Black History Month. That pretty much is "denying" people from celebrating the contributions of black Americans to our Country. They state it is "racist" to have Black History Month, That is just dumb!

Shortly after that first celebration, the white illegal aliens went to war with the Native Americans. Those they didn't kill, they rounded up and shipped off to the far west on barren lands considered worthless. That is until gold was discovered on those lands, then the Native Americans were rounded up again and shipped off to even more worthless lands. It would be almost impossible to count the number of times our Government broke Legal Treaties with various Native Tribes,

When the American Calvary won a battle against Native Americans, it was hailed as a great victory! When Native Americans won a battle against the American Calvary, it was branded as a "massacre." Nothing to do with race? Seriously?

Now, to be sure, there are racist on all sides. One clear example is the Black Lives Matters Movement. Seriously racist! But to deny the racism among white Americans is just plain ludicrous ,
