God answers this question...

Gen 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. 2 And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.
What is God teaching by resting on the 7th day?

Christians live under a new covenant. (fundamental!)

The 10 commandments are part of the old covenant, God's contract with the OT Jews.
So now we can worship other gods, bow to idols, vain His holy name break His holy Sabbath, covet, steal or break the least of these the opposite of what Jesus taught and lived for our example. Mat 5:19-30 John 15:10 1 John 2:6

The New Covenant was established on better promises Heb 8:6, not better or new laws as God’s law is perfect Psa 19:7 because God is perfect and you can’t make something that is perfect more perfect which is why God’s writes His law in our hearts and minds Heb 8:10 instead of deleting them and why its still a sin to break them Romans 7:7 breaking one is like breaking them all James 2:10-12.

Sad this is a popular teaching in most churches, but it was predicted Rev 12:17. God’s people keep God’s commandments through love and faith 1 John 5:3 Rom 3:31 Rev 14:122 which reconciles us back to Christ Rev 22:14

Why don’t you answer your own question and get to the point you’re trying to make and we can discuss. If you can please do so through scripture. Thanks.

These are your words, not mine.

Without the power of God, we could never obey God's commandments. Removing the one commandment that reveals the Author of His commandments, the Creator of Heaven and Earth and removes His seal, without Him there is nothing we can do.
You're talking about spending time with God. If God lives in you then what are you doing? Other things you want to do without God?

Do you have a job? Do laundry? Do any type of work and labors? Go out to lunch? Play sports? Workout at a gym?

What does that have to do with God giving us a commandment to follow. We are not equal to God, its something Lucifer wanted and the reason we are in this mess.
So, the life you live is your own and not the life of Christ through you?

This is not about equality of power. This is about sameness of station. Either Christ lives through you or He does not. Since you preach what is blinding to the gospel you can only think of this from the position of a slave, like Lucifer, rather than a position of a son with the character of the Father in you.

Why do you work? He's obligated to provide for all your needs. Why do you do laundry? Will He not clothe you in arrays finer than the lilies?

Yes, I do all of those things on the six days God gives us to do all our works and labors. Exo 20:9 On the seventh day Sabbath I set aside all secular work Isa 58:13 and dedicate the day to spend holy time with God. On the Sabbath my entire day is devoted to Him. Without Christ residing in us, none of us could keep His commandments. John 14:15-18. If we are breaking His law or hostile to it, it’s really not a good sign. Rom 8:7-8

You're free not to answer my questions, but if I was only interested in what I believe I wouldn't be online. Frankly, I'm interested in what you actually believe, but because you list scripture and apply it incorrectly the discussion is more difficult. It would be easier if you simply answered my questions and then look at the scripture to see if it actually supports it.
I believe it is necessary to have one's beliefs based on what scripture teaches. But believing what scripture actually teaches is foundational to proper belief. If one can't explain scripture in their own words do they really understand it?

have you ever read, "whatever you do, do it as though to the Lord"...?

wonder why that's in the Bible
does that commandment only apply once a week?

You are making two different arguments- what Jesus and God do is between them. We are not their equal- we are servants to Christ so regardless what they do, if they give us a commandment our obligation as servants is to obey.

Christians have entered into a permanent Sabbath rest, a "sabbatismos" rest in Christ (Hebrews 4:9) in contrast with Israel keeping the weekly sabbath day under the law. (Exodus 31:16-17; 35:1-3; Deuteronomy 5:15)
The first day of the week is Sunday, which is the day that Christians traditionally gather for worship and rest in commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ

. The Sabbath day, on the other hand, is the seventh day of the week, which is Saturday according to the way Israel counted time

. While the Sabbath day was given to Israel as a sign between themselves and God, Christians have entered into a permanent Sabbath rest in Christ, which is a state of rest and peace that surpasses the weekly Sabbath

. Therefore, Christians are not required to keep the weekly Sabbath according to the Fourth Commandment as they were under the Old Covenant

Please show me where I applied scripture incorrectly. It’s easy to make accusations, but another to prove it.

I’ll remind you where this started-you stated the Sabbath wasn’t about a particular day, when God in His own Words said it is about a particular day the seventh day Exo 20:10 . He both wrote and spoke it. Exo 20:10. I don’t believe I am the one applying scripture incorrectly as already demonstrated through scripture.

Are you trying to make a case this somehow deletes our moral obligation to obey the Sabbath commandment?

Sigh. No wonder we have this warning from Paul’s writing 2 Peter 3:16

Paul does not have the authority to countermand God’s commandments, nor did Paul as He was a servant of Christ and kept all of the commandments including the Sabbath commandments decades after the cross Acts 13:42-44 Acts 18:4

There is more than one Sabbath in scripture- Paul was careful to write the sabbath(s) he is referring to handwritten ordinances that have to do with food, drink, holy days also called sabbath(s) or feast days. Man cannot reverse God’s blessing Num 23:20 so we need a thus saith the Lord to reverse God’s Sabbath commanemnt. All of the thus saith the Lords on the Sabbath are for us to keep and not profane.

Wait. So you are working a job because you decided to do so on your own? The Lord did not deploy you there? And you bought and paid for your house, clothes, and belongings in your own strength?

"I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does."

You're living in the wrong economy. You're still living by the sweat of your brow.

Hold on @posthuman ... does that scripture say "whatever you do?!!!" Like, not just on a particular day?
