Why?
11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.
The picture is that you have disciples inside the house getting to ask questions and have everything explained to them while those who are outside the house are kept in the dark. Why? Simple, Jesus is the door. They are outside because they refuse to come in the door. This is like a hacker trying to hack into your computer without having proper access. They are thieves and murderers.
13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?
So then, how do we know all parables? We ask Jesus to explain them. Simple.

Warning, bad interpretations can cause major problems
10 Thus saith the Lord God; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:
This follows the attack on Israel by the nations around them, this is "another thought", not the same thought.
11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
The land of unwalled villages. This is not Israel. Some assume that since this is not Israel this cannot be fulfilled until Israel is like this. Right now the Jews are divided 50/50 between Israel and the US. In the OT they were divided 50/50 between Judah and Israel which represented ten tribes. "The Land of unwalled villages" is an appropriate description of the US. I think everyone should reexamine their interpretation. Something obviously must happen in the US to cause all Jews to return to Israel.
12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.
The US has lots of people that are gathered out of all nations, and they have a lot of cattle. Israel has a miniscule amount of cattle, certainly not enough to mention here in the Bible.
13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?
The US is the biggest consumer nation in the world, so of course the merchants of the world will be alarmed at their destruction. This does not apply to Israel. They don't have a lot of people, they don't have a lot of cattle and they certainly aren't a major consumer nation.
14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord God; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?
15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:
16 And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

You silence the song of the ruthless
Isaiah 25:5 and like the heat of the desert. You silence the uproar of foreigners; as heat is reduced by the shadow of a cloud, so the song of the ruthless is stilled.
The rapture is going to silence the unbelievers.
Proverbs 10:31 From the mouth of the righteous comes the fruit of wisdom, but a perverse tongue will be silenced.
Right now the perverse tongue is going wild and no one is able to silence it. The coming of the day of the Lord will silence their tongue.
Psalm 143:12 In your unfailing love, silence my enemies; destroy all my foes, for I am your servant.
The biggest enemy we have is unbelief.
Job 11:3 Will your idle talk reduce others to silence? Will no one rebuke you when you mock?
The rapture is going to be God's rebuke to the mockers.
1Samuel 2:9 He will guard the feet of his faithful servants, but the wicked will be silenced in the place of darkness. “It is not by strength that one prevails;
The wicked here are not just unbelievers but also the unfaithful believers, even the fearful.
Numbers 13:30 Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.”
Caleb represents those who are raptured in the pre-tribulation rapture.
Lamentations 2:10 The elders of Daughter Zion sit on the ground in silence; they have sprinkled dust on their heads and put on sackcloth. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.
The elders of the churches left behind will be silenced.
Isaiah 47:5 “Sit in silence, go into darkness, queen city of the Babylonians; no more will you be called queen of kingdoms.
Jeremiah 51:55 The Lord will destroy Babylon; he will silence her noisy din. Waves of enemies will rage like great waters; the roar of their voices will resound.
Babylon's destruction comes in an hour, she is burned with fire, stripped naked and devoured by the beast. That is what this is saying here, she is silenced while their voices roar and resound. What is the noisy din of Babylon? It is two fold, you have the noisy din of the religious Babylon, they will be silenced when they are left behind and everyone who was following them realizes they were deceived. Then there is the noisy din of the material Babylon like Times square. All the non stop ads, billboards, and people hawking their wares. That also will be silenced.
Amos 8:3 “In that day,” declares the Sovereign Lord, “the songs in the temple will turn to wailing. Many, many bodies—flung everywhere! Silence!”
Here we see the result of the judgement falling. There will be a judgement that comes on Babylon in an hour where she is burned by fire, there will also be a judgement on the Gog/Magog war with Israel depicted in Ezekiel 38 where God fights for Israel. 60 million bodies will be flung everywhere. That will silence everyone. But then the antichrist will sign the Abraham accords and the trumpets will sound out that the day of the Lord is here.

I very much disagree with his perspective in this video. To me the Biblical support for signs in the sun, moon and stars is crystal clear. The fact that there were signs prior to Jesus birth and at his crucifixion are also crystal clear from the Bible. As much as he wants to push the prophecies of certain people as being credible and reliable there is no doubt that the signs in the heavens are from God, that is indisputable.
The issue I have had with the signs is not believing that they are signs, I think that is crystal clear from the Bible. No, the issue I have is interpreting what the sign means. I do appreciate that one person has shown that all 9 solar eclipses over the US have been accompanied by war. Especially the three most significant in our history: Revolutionary war, Civil war, and the World Wars.
Also unlike all the previous signs we have three solar eclipses that traverse the US from one boundary to the next. First is from the Pacific to the Atlantic, the second is from the Pacific to the Gulf of Mexico, and the third is from the Southern border to the border with Canada.
In addition to have three solar eclipses traverse the entire continent in the course of seven years is unprecedented.
Finally, they make the letters "Aleph and Tav" or "Alpha and Omega", that is the Signature of Jesus Christ.
The issue I have had with the signs is not believing that they are signs, I think that is crystal clear from the Bible. No, the issue I have is interpreting what the sign means. There is one other thing that he does that I find very annoying. He continually tells us that he memorized the book of Revelation as though this is the reason we should ignore all other bible expositors. I was told by a brother who taught the word when I was a very new Christian that you should read a book 100 times before teaching it. After seven years I had read the entire Bible 26 times, the New Testament over 50 times, and the books of Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians and Colossians well over 100 times. That was back almost 40 years ago. The more Stan boasts about having memorized Revelation the more he comes across as a very small fish when it comes to Bible exegesis. I post his show because he adds something and he has an expertise in modern day prophets.
But when it comes to expounding the word of God I do not let him tell me who to listen to or how to understand the bible. The Lord has shown me that even those who have spent their entire life in the Bible can be off.
No doubt for every solid Bible expositor there are probably 20 charlatans.
Matthew 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
It is very simple really, you turn on a charlatans youtube video and they will promise great things, great insights, etc. But after 5 minutes you still have nothing. Once you realize this person is a thorn indicating sin and the curse, or a thistle indicating an empty boast you cross them off your list and move on.
Second I have also learned that the Lord speaks through all the believers. I had a speaking from the Lord on the day I got saved. So you must be open to listen to all believers. However, I wouldn't have been able to teach the word, simply share an experience and let a more experienced brother or sister share their insights on it.
This constant yammering by Stan on how he memorized Revelation violates these two principles.
Finally, I did memorize one book of the Bible and it did have a profound impact on my spiritual life. So I am not disputing the value in memorizing the word of God.
But when it comes to expounding the word of God I do not let him tell me who to listen to or how to understand the bible. The Lord has shown me that even those who have spent their entire life in the Bible can be off.

The Simple Secret of Great People | Jonathan Cahn Sermon
I dislike this title. However, he has a great definition of humble. Moses wrote that he was the most humble person on earth. That seems to contradict our understanding of the world, we would normally assume a humble person would not say they are humble.
But the definition of humble is not someone who downgrades themselves, rather it is someone who is focused on God and lifts God up.
Also he points out a very interesting item in the Hebrew language. A Yod is the smallest letter, and if you add it to a word it indicates future tense. In other words, when we talk about the future it begins with taking a very small step.

Let me return to vent some more on Stan Johnson. He memorized the book of Revelation and got some revelations as a result of that. He saw the significance of the first fruits. That is all great. But he isn't the only one, I was taught about the significance of the first fruits in Revelation back in the 1970s. Watchman Nee and Witness Lee, two ministries based on JN Darby spoke on this.
The idea that one person has all the answers is absurd. This is a team effort including many brothers and sisters from over the last two thousand years.
There are also many believers who will spot key points. You don't have to be a seasoned Bible teacher with forty years experience in the word before the Lord can speak to you. Yes we do need to test the spirits and yes, the majority of those who are speaking are not mature in the Lord or in the word of God. So you must exercise discernment. I appreciate what Stan brings to the table concerning his work in prophecy with modern day prophets. But I completely reject him being the standard by which all other ministries are measured. That is why this blog is called "Summary of Bible references". I am using the Bible as the standard. If you have insight into the world of God that I think is relevant to the topic of the rapture and if it is unique to the discussion I will post it. I don't have to agree or disagree, so in many cases it is "food for thought". Generally speaking Stan does that, but he pushes his interpretation as though it is gospel and disregards many seasoned bible expositors. As a result I disagree with about 15% of what he shares, but I post his work because it fits the criteria: Bible based, unique and relevant.
