OK then, who do you think told her?
Let me ask you something. If someone says of them self, "I can only go by what Scripture says,"
should they then be ADDING to what Scripture says and making definitive claims about something
that is not written? And when their error is pointed out to them, should they not be willing to acknowledge it?

Case in point: Scripture does NOT say God told Eve. Pretending she could only know if God told her is suspect also.

I agree with you. One should never "add" to the established written Word. But in this scenario, there's only 2 possibilities who told Eve. If someone says Adam or God it's a good possibility they will be correct. But it's first and foremost best to say the Bible does not say. But this being a discussion board also gives us a little lead way to put forth possibilities since there's only 2 that exist.

Someone who says, they can only go by what Scripture says, and then adds to what Scripture says, is a deluded liar
in my books, especially when they refuse to admit their error and clutch at straws evading the truth of the matter.

I cannot disagree with you. But we do know Eve said it and would have had to been told it in order to repeat it. Even if it was Adam who told her it would still be coming from God since He told Adam and that is written down.

All beside the point.

This is also a logical fallacy, since it is not clear who if anyone told her they must not touch the forbidden
fruit, whereas your line of reasoning leaves us with the conclusion that someone must have told her.

Because she had the knowledge to tell the serpent God said. If no one told her she just made it up.

That Eve had the knowledge about not eating from that Tree. I am asking you how do you think she got that knowledge?
We were discussing what is written. More specifically, the fact that someone who said they can ONLY go by what Scripture says, then proceeds to add to what is actually written and refuses to acknowledge their error when it is pointed out to them. What we think about how Eve came to know is secondary, and not germane in any way to the conversation. Even so, most assume Adam told Eve, and I find that a reasonable assumption to make. Yes, far more reasonable than to assume or even CLAIM that God told her. Saying one thing and then doing the opposite is not what I would call the actions of a reasonable person at all.

Do you agree that Eve had that specific knowledge about the Tree for her to be able to tell the serpent what God said?

Agree, however Eve said God said, so she knew not to eat from the tree came from God. Regardless if God told her directly or through Adam it came from God. She never indicated it came from Adam she clearly says God said.

Gen 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

She was able to answer the serpent with the "exact" words we read God told Adam. So it would appear that she knew those words from someone.

Likewise there is something wrong with pretending God must have told Eve specifically simply because she knew
It is not "pretending" but a reasonable assumption. Eve was created some time after the creation of Adam. But God would hold both accountable (as we know). So it is entirely possible that God also addressed Eve somewhere along the way. And you cannot prove otherwise either. Everything is not necessarily recorded. It would be better to drop this matter.

Do you give advice when you have zero use for it yourself?

I already answered that question. Why are you asking again???

But none of this is germane to what I was originally pointing out.

After all this time, do you even know what that was?

Your answer is the Bible doesn't say so I go with what we know from the Bible.
