In short, martial law nor elections have nothing to do with this.

Oklahoma National Guard troops will indeed be on hand during the event, and a statement from the Guard explained their role.


“McCurtain County Emergency Management requested our support because they expect up to 100,000 additional people visiting their communities to watch the eclipse,” Lt. Col. Jabonn Flurry, commander of the 63rd Civil Support Team, said in a March 18 press release from the Oklahoma National Guard. “This influx of visitors has the potential to overtax local resources and thanks to the training and experience our Guardsmen have working alongside local agencies all across Oklahoma, the CST is uniquely qualified to support our fellow Oklahomans.”


The press release also said, “In the event of a HAZMAT emergency like an industrial fire that requires specialized training, the 63rd CST’s resources will respond, allowing local emergency responders to continue their assistance to citizens and the expected increase of visitors.”

The moon "covers up" the sun! That's literally what an eclipse is.

Anyone who thinks this eclipse has anything to do with eschatology, is being sucked in by a combo of astrology, numerology and the Kabbalah.
it is a simple, normal, recurring astronomical phenomena that happens at various times and places all over the earth, depending upon the relative placements of the sun, earth and moon in relationship to each other. We had a lovely one a few year ago up in Canada on a clear autumn night that was huge, because of the distortion created by being low in the horizon.

These are the things I've heard about this eclipse. Not saying any are wrong or right. Just posting what I've heard.

Facts:

1. This Eclipse completes an X across the USA. The first ECLIPSE happened in 2017.

2. The 2017 Eclipse went over 7 US cities named SALEM.

3. This Eclipse will go over 7 US cities named NINEVAH (and one Canadian city)

4. Several US states are activating their National Guards on that date.

5. Following an Eclipse over Missouri (Taking roughly the SAME path as this one will) in 1811, a series of very powerful Earthquakes occurred. At least one reaching higher than an 8.0 on the Richter Scale. It is said they were so powerful the Mississippi River ran backwards for a time. Other very strange phenomena occurred as well at that time.

Speculations:

1. The message from God is that He will X out the USA for it's wickedness.

2. The USA will have 40 days to repent. (On or around May 18th)

3. Someone claims to have done the math, and says a total eclipse happened in Ninevah just prior to Jonah's arrival and message.

In regard to thee speculations:

1. God's signature has historically been considered to be the Hebrew "alef", which looks like an "x", there's no reason we should take it like we do here concerning the 'disagree' reaction. And indeed, with regard to the illiterate, the "x" had historically been excepted in lieu of a fully written out signature.

2. Salem is Hebrew for 'peace' and Ninevah translates city of Ninus, the founder of Nineveh, is this the same king of Nineveh that commanded that all the people including animals in Ninevah to put on sackcloth and ashes and repent?

3. Surely, we can't go on any one witness, let alone just any one, even if it is 'someone.'

I mean, if I die, I die, but I will die, nevertheless, in hope.

But with concern with the national guard's deployment. This news relieves and comforts me considering the eclipse falls on the last day of ramadan, which I suppose those that observe it might consider a good day to 'raise hell.'

Lol yeah man we’re all pretty flawed around here well yet carnal anyways tend to jump before we completely grasp things sometimes

i think if we inderrrsnd ahead of time tbat this place is really full of a lot of decent folks that bekieve in the lord but all of us still have a lot of flaws and immaturities some have heard a lot of bad doctrine ect but most are here because they actually do believe the Bible is true even if they’ve been misled a bit beforhand

i thibk if we understood it’s not a seminary but a public discussion forum with a lot of less than perfect people trying to discuss the Bible they believe maybe there would be less offense and more patience
