It doesn't mean we stop loving them, praying for them, and seek after God to help them. But it does mean we stop trusting them, expect the worse from them, and eventually have to stop contact with them.

When I take scripture, specifically how God Himself describes Who He is and the example Jesus displayed for us and I fit His words together. I see a God whose Love is so true that you can feel His pain when Israel continually sinned against Him. You could sense His frustration when He forgave them again and again and they would serve other gods. You could realize His Mercy when He would warn them of punishment but withheld it over and over. And then we see Jesus who was a man of incredible sorrow, pain, and suffering. Who was betrayed and despised but gave His life willingly for us. You see God as He truly is.

And to have people denigrate God to a level as executioner, picking and choosing people to burn eternally in a devil's Hell, as a Hitler, Mussolini, Napoleon type character. And claim this is their Great God and His Sovereignty and they justify Him as a skitzo freak. I want to physically hurt them. Because they have taken True Pure Love and formatted it into judicial justification. I really don't understand how anyone would want to serve a God like that.
You speak of a God of love and out of the same mouth say you want to physically hurt people. Hmmm.

See how you have purposefully left out the specific details explaining why I feel that way?
That's a complete misrepresentation of what I said.
And yes, anyone who destroys the True Character of God upsets me very much.

I didn't twist anything. Had you simply said it angered you when people misrepresent God, in your opinion, that's one thing. Saying you want to hurt someone is another.
But feel free to play the victim card rather than repent.

Why would God ask me to repent for being angry at those who destroy His true Character. Satan is behind their actions. Would God require forgiveness for despising Satan and his puppets?

Because you call yourself a Christian and as such have an obligation to manifest to the world the character of God. By showing hatred towards others rather than love, you have actually done the very thing that you accuse others of doing.

How is that hatred of them?
They did not sin against me but defamed God.

And your answer is to punch them? Nothing says the love of God like a punch in the head.

One will never overcome evil with evil, but with good.

And I'm not talking about someone else's sin. I'm talking about your sinful response to them. Not exactly letting your light so shine amongst men.

At any rate, receive what I have shared or don't. Grace and peace.

I reread my post and nowhere did I say anything about doing it but about wanting to.
You have went to the extreme of me doing something that I never said I would actually do.
And I researched this question and being mad about people who defame God seems honorable to many Theologians.

You do understand that you gave voice to what was in your heart, right?
Anyway, you will defend yourself however you feel you need to. Blessings.

I believe you are so defensive because you feel like I am including YOU in that crowd of who defames God.
If you feel that way I apologize to you, but I would seriously question someone who did not feel upset to the point of wanting to fight for God's Character.

What's with everyone thinking I'm defensive. I've never taken offense to anything anyone has posted on this site. I appreciate the apology, but it's not necessary. But earnestly, I've never seen so much deflection and projection in all my life since I've been on this site. You literally wrote you wanted to punch someone. Whether you do so or not, that's what's in your heart or it wouldn't have come out. You have no problem hitting someone. That's not love. That's hate. How can that be so?
James 3:8-10...But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God...these things ought not so to be.

I did not deny being mad. But you posted as if I literally did something when I was posting how mad it makes me when someone defames my God. And you accused me of hate. So I let you blow off steam for a bit at my own cost. I figured with you going as far as taking my post to the point of actually doing it and hate that it appeared to be personal towards you. So I apologized before you took it to the point of murdering someone

And I did not say that with my mouth, I wrote it as a attempt to show how mad it makes me.

Jesus is the propitiation for the sins of the world and Isaiah 53 says the chastisement of our peace was upon him, but Jesus says anyone who learns of the Father will come to him and that someone has to be drawn by the Father to come to him.

It seems the Reformed have done many of that already.
E.W. Bullinger/Reformed/Calvinist is most known for introducing such an idea.

Maybe he did it to help the Reformed doctrine.
good morning! i was glancing through some of the pages in this thread, and thought you would like to know E. W. Bullinger was not Reformed. He was a hyper-dispensationalist Anglican.

perhaps you've got him confused with another man, Heinrich Bullinger? he was around, oh, about 500 years ago, but is fairly well known in Reformed circles.

What promise is "for all"?
this promise 😊

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off,

You say a lot for someone whose entire doctrine is solely based upon Paul.
Mine is based upon Jesus Christ and His Disciples who have confirmed what Jesus said.
It's true that I glean from Paul but would never make a doctrine from his letters like you have.
So call me a fool, unlike yourself, I am grounded in the direct words of God.
Not surprising you hate Pauline Theology. Most heretics do. But for you info, at the end of the day Paul's doctrine was given to him by Jesus Christ himself. (See Jn 16:12-15). So, by rejecting Paul's teaching, you are unwittingly rejecting Christ's teaching because He was Paul's Source, as he was with all the other apostles!

It seems your ignorance of the scriptures knows no bounds, and you also have zero awareness of the depth of our self-deception.

It is sad. There can be no real discussion with such people. You can't force them to be honest.
Talking about "honest" (or lack thereof, I suppose), I am "sad" that I never received an honest, straightforward, unequivocal answer from you re my question about whether or not you accept or reject the biblical teaching that God hates sin and sinners alike. :coffee:
